Meryl Streep reunited with her ‘Devil Wears Prada’ ladies Emily Blunt & Anne Hathaway

One of the few things we heard ahead of the SAG Awards was that there would be a reunion for the three women of The Devil Wears Prada. It’s sort of weird to think that no one has put Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt together on stage in all of these years, but it finally happened. Meryl even wore Prada to the SAGs, and she was joined by Emily and Anne, who brought out her glasses and the envelope. ACTING! Anne even wore cerulean blue, a reference to that scene. This was adorable and I love that all three women were up for it.

Emily Blunt wore Louis Vuitton, btw – it was a simple look and it worked. Emily also picked up a SAG Award as part of the Oppenheimer ensemble.

Emma Stone also wore Louis Vuitton – this is basically the only good thing she’s worn throughout the entire awards season. Which means her Oscar dress is probably going to be a trainwreck.

Meryl looks the best of the three here. Emily had been embracing the generic rich housewife look for the entire season. I don’t think she suits blonde and has lost a lot of facial weight which gives a hard look.

They (Hollywood actors) all are looking hard because of their ozempic use. Was it Catherine Denueve who said at a certain age you have to choose- your ass or your face? She was right. I agree she doesn’t suit blonde, red or brown warms her up but she insists on being blonde now. And to the poster below, @Nubia, yes that’s Casey Affleck. He was in Oppenheimer and they won movie ensemble.

Maybe a different shade of blonde would work better? But I agree, I think she looks best with darker hair, particularly as a brunette. I suppose as some women go gray (if that’s happening to her), they like to be blondeish more because the maintenance works better for them, maybe that’s at play? Or it’s for a role*? Anyway, blonde can be tough, even with the right shade, and especially if you live in a city, travel, or use well water a lot (old pipes, different water, minerals), because water can really change the color/tone.

*I always feel a bit for actors when they get criticized for their hair colors and styles, because it can be because of a role and maybe it’s supposed to look bad/off for that, but then they have to walk around in real life with it!

Anon, Emily is a Cool Summer, so she needs to NOT be warmed up. The blonde doesn’t work because it’s too warm AND she needs some contrast. Her natural ash brown is perfect for her.

    • PinkOrchid says:

Very cute, but I wish they had color coordinated better for the photo!

What on earth has Anne Hathaway done to her face. She is unrecognizable.

    • I was going to ask the same thing about her hair. In the first photo where she is leaning over to speak into the microphone, the front part of her hair is a very dark brown and slicked to her head, and then the back is a light brown and looks like it’s slapped to her head. Is this what Wiglet Watch is all about?

    • Anon says:

You know I didn’t really recognized her in a lot of the photos either, and had to look a couple of times, but I decided it could just be aging. Or aging and bad makeup, especially overdone eyebrows. Or maybe all that and a little too much Botox in the wrong places?

I did recognize her more when I saw her dancing at the Versace after party though! She was wearing sunglasses, but moving around animatedly. So whatever it is, it’s probably something that changed around the eye area that was covered by those oversized sunglasses…

Anne’s been working hard and in the harsh glare of Hollywood and the internet since she was a kid, I hope we can give her some grace if her face is changing, for whatever reason. She’s always been beautiful and she still is. For that matter, hopefully we can all give everyone some grace in the same way!

First thing I noticed was she didn’t quite look like herself. I like that she wore a belt and a cerulean one at that.

    • lucy2 says:

I saw some video of her getting ready, she looked like herself.

    • Teddy says:

Funny – I was wondering the same thing about Emily.

    • Grant says:

      I think it’s a sprinkle of Botox/filler plus a possible face lift.

I love that shade of blue on Anne – it really suits her. But I think the gown construction doesn’t do it justice – is it a two piece? With a giant square belt buckle?

I personally think the metallic silver washes Emma out, and I don’t love the top of the dress, it’s sort of saggy and sad. Her hair and makeup look amazing, true, just for a much bolder dress.

    • Dee says:

The gown was an ode to that scene where Anne’s character chuckles about the two belts that look nearly the same to her and Meryl gives her a dressing down about her blue sweater.

  4. Michelle says:

Check out Emily’s midsection in the backstage photo. Her skin wrinkles with the fabric. Is that dress literally glued to her body?? How is that constructed?

  5. MaryContrary says:

It makes me sad that Emily Blunt has had so much work done. She’s so funny, talented and a great actress-and she was naturally so pretty. Now she looks like one of those women who looks “good for 60” because she’s had so much filler, botox and surgery.

  6. Nubia says:

Is that Casey Affleck!@??? What is he doing in the ensemble pic ?

  7. Roan Inish says:

Who’s the guy standing to the right of Emily in the group photo? It looks like the guy from That 70’s Show that was convicted of rape. God I hope not.

  8. Abby says:

OK their bit together was funny. I laughed! I love all the details, from the blue dress to wearing Prada. So fun.

  9. TN Democrat says:

Glad to see Josh Hartnett at a major event. He has maintained an interesting career while mainly avoiding the limelight.

  10. LivingDesert says:

That frumpy housecoat-like thing was all Prada could do for Ms. Streep?
How sad. She deserved better. Much better.

  11. Kel says:

    Three talented women!!
