I’ve seen a few pieces already about people being “mad” about Emma Stone’s Oscar win over Lily Gladstone. While (again) I thought Lily came into the awards season as the favorite and she really had a shot at it, Emma’s balls-to-the-wall performance in Poor Things, combined with a great, breezy, fun Oscar campaign, all equaled a “surprise win” for Emma. All I’m saying is that I’m not mad about it. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. These are pics of Emma at the Vanity Fair Oscar party – she wore another custom Louis Vuitton look. This looks baggy and comfortable! That’s her very tall husband Dave.
Lily Gladstone changed for the VF Oscar party and I didn’t get the sense that she was moping in a corner somewhere. Reportedly, she was enjoying the parties, networking and staying booked and busy. Good for her.
Charlize Theron wore Dior to the VF party – this is so much better than her Oscar dress, omg. The hair is still a tragedy though.
Georgina Chapman & Adrien Brody – I can’t believe they’re still together!
Pamela Anderson was fresh-faced in Oscar de la Renta. This is honestly one of my favorite looks of the VF party.
Cynthia Erivo in custom Louis Vuitton – blah, but I rarely think she’s styled well.
Zooey Deschanel in kind of a mod-print. I like it, it feels very ‘70s.

I’m incredibly tired of visible underpants, particularly the nude thongs or granny panties. It takes away from the workmanship of the gown or overlay and is no longer shocking.
Emma’s after party gown looks very comfortable and elegantly drapey, and I like the chevron pattern on Zoe’s gown but the satin and velvet looks really heavy.
Well, perhaps they should stop making see-through gowns then, that would take care of the visible underpants problem.
I sometimes wonder if Louis Vuitton actually like their clients, because Emma’s dress is giving bedraggled shower curtain vibes. And Cynthia’s bosoms look like they’re being crushed into oblivion. And as to the sheers, I will only say Cher did it first and she did it better and everyone else should invest in a slip.
speaking of Georgina, I spotted a Marchesa gown on the red carpet – and it was really understated and pretty! it was red taffeta with a full skirt and an off the shoulder neckline, with a big fabric rose on either shoulder. I forget who was wearing it (an influencer or vlogger I think) but she tripped on the carpet and fell off her tall platforms, and made it into Page Six. lol. idk if GC is still doing Marchesa, but it was probably my favorite ever dress from that label.
Pamela looks so lovely and relaxed! love the gown. would love to see her walk in it.
Zoey’s dress with the giant ricky-rack is so very her.
Charlize had a very cute red carpet interaction with Guillermo (Kimmel’s sidekick) on the way into the Dolby theater.
I love Pamela ‘s look here, but why did they make her stand under such hard, glaring light? The picture is overexposed and none of the other attendees had that unfortunate light reflection on their face. It’s distracting from her naturally beautiful and radiant face.
I love Emma’s dress — this is fun, sparkly, and definitely looks more comfortable.
Especially after that split zipper incident! She looks relieved to be in something loose.
Pam’s dress is so cute and I love Zoey’s look for once. I’m surprised I like Emma’s look as much as I do but that dress is really cute and that color is great on her. Don’t care for Charlize’s dress at all, actually.
Emma’s dress, if you can call it, that God awful It looks like used tissue that a 3 year old cut-up and was put on Emma, and they called it a “dress.”
I agree her dress is just awful.
Does marchesa still operate? Because I feel like I haven’t seen anyone one of those ice skater monstrosities since Harvey lost the ability to bully women into wearing his wife’s designs.
Yes, the co-founder Keren Craig left the brand in 2019. But it seems it is still limping along.
I like Emma’s dress but I wish it was a little more tailored. I don’t like the exposed leg.
Pamela looks like Mrs. Roper. Not a fan. I like Charlize, Lily, and Emma’s dressed. Love Georgina’s.
