Lupita Nyong’o went to the Oscars AND the Oscar parties with her Quiet Place 2 costar, Joseph Quinn. So, I actually had the impression, from their general vibe, that Quinn was pretty young and Lupita was basically showing him the awards-season ropes as sort of a mentor figure. Turns out, Quinn is 30 years old! He’s been around Hollywood for years! While this was probably his first time at the Oscars, he’s not some ingénue. Anyway, at the VF Oscar party, Lupita switched it up and wore a different Armani Privé look. I love the dress and I love the pop of blue eye shadow too. Beautiful.
Cardi B turned up to the VF party in this great vintage Versace. She loves fashion and she looked like she was having a ball. Did she end up getting back together with Offset? Or was she acting single and ready to mingle at the party?
Anya Taylor Joy in Miss Sohee. This is so fun and silly. Bring back silly headpieces and high-fashion helmets!
Michelle Yeoh in Balenciaga. She looks like a rich widow who avoided charges in the mysterious death of her husband (I would watch that movie).
Emily Blunt in custom Dolce & Gabbana. Fantastic look, so much better than her Oscar dress.
Lindsay Lohan in Balenciaga. She came to the VF party with her husband Bader Shammas, in what I think was their first big red carpet together. They honestly look really happy together and Lindsay looks happy and healthy. I hope that’s the case.

Beautiful dress. And Emily’s looks lovely, and Anya’s. Nice to be talking about positive photos!
I actually prefer all of these dresses to the ones worn at the Oscars. Lupita looks amazing in this sparkly black with bright blue and green highlights and her hair is cute. She’s happy. Anya seemed a bit subdued to me in her Oscar dress, but she really likes this one. I also like the witchy look on Michelle better than the sparkly one she wore. And Emily isn’t channeling underroos (how do you spell that?) here: much better. Lindsay does look healthy and happy in tinsel. Cardi knows how to wear clothes—she rocks this look.

The most recent thing I’ve seen her in, the series The Brothers Sun on Netflix was a great watch. (There’s lots of violence but SO much more than that, with interesting characters and fantastic performances)
Right?? I don’t like violence, especially ‘fun’ violence but it was easy to overlook because she was AMAZING in The Brothers Sun! Massive mistake for Netflix to not renew. She played that character with such an undercurrent of knowledge of how that woman would work. FABULOUS!

I saw in Lisa Eldridge’s stories that Lupita is wearing her Sorcery Eyeshadow Palette. I’ve been lusting after that palette already, and this just cements it.
Lupita not only wonderfully beautiful but look at her eyes! Is it me or does she really has one eye with blue eye shadow and the other with green shade? isn’t it marvelous?!

I like a lot of these dresses, but Emily is the only one who seems to understand that the after-parties are still formal, but should be more comfortable. Idk how people move in some of these dresses let alone sit down and get back up again.
I love all of these looks tbh. Also, I know Lupita is with Joshua Jackson now, and I know they’re promoting their upcoming movie, but I thought her and Joseph were so hot together. He seemed in awe of her (although who wouldn’t be!)
