Here are some photos from this weekend’s AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony, a gala celebration for Nicole Kidman and her career. Nicole has had an extraordinary career, helped by the fact that she looks like a bombshell movie star but she has the heart of a quirky indie actress. Nicole looked wonderful at the event – she wore a custom Balenciaga gown in Oscar-statuette-gold. Nicole has really toned down her fillers and Botox in recent years and I’m grateful. I’m also including pics of some of the celebrities who came out to celebrate Nicole, like Reese Witherspoon, Naomi Watts and… Miles Teller? Oh, that’s right, they did Rabbit Hole together.
Meanwhile, this was the first time I think we’ve ever seen Nicole’s younger daughters on a red carpet. Nicole is estranged from her two older kids, Bella and Connor Cruise, and they didn’t attend this ceremony. But her daughters Sunday and Faith were there and I genuinely cannot believe how grown-up they are. Sunday Rose is 15 years old – she’s the one in the floral gown. Faith is 13, and she’s wearing the coral dress. Nicole’s niece Sybella Hawley (standing next to Nicole) is in the red corsetted dress.

oh that dress is lovely. Nicole is one of my perennial favorites on the red carpet. Even if I don’t like an outfit, I’m always looking forward to the next appearance to see what she is wearing. And her hair is perfect with it – simple but not boring. She does look like she’s toning down some of the work which is good. I think she’s a great actress but its hard to act when your face doesn’t move (it was actually distracting in that HBO series with Hugh Grant, the Undoing.)
The daughters look so adult! Love their dresses too.
That Balenciaga is stunning- one of the best dresses she’s worn in awhile. I seriously can’t believe how grown up their daughters are – I remember when she was pregnant with Sunday Rose!
She looks great! And this is a nice accomplishment for her, I’ve always enjoyed her work.
In my head her daughters were like kindergarten age. I feel old now!
I’ve always liked Nicole, she’s such a versatile actress. Good on her that she managed to escape that fascist cult with her career unharmed.
She and her daughters look great, as do her sister and niece.
But how tiny is Keith? Even with those platform boots! And 2005 called and wants that flat-ironed hairstyle back.
I really like Nicole and much of her work, but when I saw the photos she is actually morphing into Jessica Lange. ☹️
