Did Mel Gison need a Sidekick? What a fricking idiot.

Never trusted Stone- always felt he was a slimey, shady, less genuine and well intending version of Michael Moore, without the street cred or interest in the truth.

  2. coucou says:

Nice rack, but that is not Katerine Heigl. Oliver sounds like such a idiot, looks so has-been, what the hell kind of angle is he going for now? What’s next? Taliban consciousness-raising? Fukc you Oliver, and fukc off.

  3. Sumodo says:

Saaaaay! Renee Zellweger is barking up the wrong tree AGAIN!

  4. Emily says:

He’s right when he says there was a chain of events from WWI that caused WWII, but that doesn’t change the fact that Hitler was evil. I don’t see how you can say anyone who killed over 6 million people is an easy scapegoat.

  5. mila says:

He also mentions Stalin.Yeah, cause Stalin only caused aestimated 30-60 million people to die from famine, executions, deportations and labor in gulags. Let’s not exaggerate , he wasn’t that bad, no?
Oliver Stone should be ashamed of himself.

  6. MizzExpert says:

I boycott his crap out of principle! He’s a frickin’ Communist and a monster dip-shit! Too bad he doesn’t spend the rest of his life in the Gulag.

It figures, let enough time lapse and then they would romanticize Hitler.

  7. LolaBella says:

Hey Oliver, how about you just stick with directing and just STFU, huh?

    Rocco? Really?

    Uh, Cher ALWAYS looks wigtastic!

I’m convinced Jared Leto made a pact with the devil; that is the ONLY way to explain why he looks EXACTLY the same NOW as he did in 1996! WTF?

Miseralba…that nickname really does suit you.

  8. Firestarter says:

Oliver Stone is, and always has been a crazy nut. Last good film, and only good film he did was Platoon.

  9. Cheyenne says:

Awwww. Poor wittle Adolf was an unwanted product of a loveless marriage. It’s all mommy and daddy’s fault.

  10. filthycute says:

Are people not allowed to state their opinions in America?

  11. Oi says:

There’s a reason good historians generally don’t end up on tv/in movies.

  12. viper says:

what is with hollywood mentioning Hitler left and right these days? Do they want him to come back or somthing? oR ARE THEY HOPING FOR SOMEBODY WORSE

  13. n says:

how ignorant can a person be?

And George Stevens — one of our greatest American directors — filmed the concentration camps himself when he served during the war!

Oliver Stone is a big fat idiot who needs to get himself educated and informed.

  14. yae says:

We are getting conditioned to enjoy our new American locked-down culture. We are being told to LIKE our check-point Israeli-style fashioned airports (with x-ray scanners) and freedoms cast to dust.

So to praise Hitler is part of the new “cool”.

  15. badrockandroll says:

    Oliver Stone, meet Sharon Stone!

In both cases, I think that I understand what they were trying to say. But in both cases, they are things best left unsaid. (Actually, I retract that: I may have got the Susan Sarandon thing, but I will never get the earthquake/karma thing.)

  16. Ash says:

Not supporting Oliver Stone but …If u heard history books …The Italians also helped Hitler why dont ppl give the Italians a hard time. Just saying…

  17. Goddess711 says:

“I’ve been able to walk in Stalin’s shoes and Hitler’s shoes to understand their point of view.”
Really? So is he justifying the atrocities those monsters committed in the name of ‘they were misunderstood’? Or is his ginormous ego speaking for who he equates himself with? I forgot the guy even existed until this.
Stone needs to be taken from his home by force, tattooed and made to spend some un-priviledged time in a concentration camp. Another point of view is what he needs so he can be absolutely sure of what he’s saying.
    Is he nuts?

  18. DrM says:

Ugh Oliver Stone…easiest way to tune him out? Refuse to watch any of his sh**.

Jared Leto and “My So Called Life” got me through total bedrest in a maternity hospital pregnant with twins in 1994 (go Canadian universal health care!)

He’s still yummy if a bit odd

  19. singerinwhite says:

As a history nerd and minoring it in college, I take immense offense to Stone’s comments.

    What a pretentious a**

“The director claimed many people in America did not understand the connection between the First World War and the Second World War..”

Excuse me?! I’m sorry you pretentious prick, but we do. European history classes and World History classes in high schools across the country explain it rather well. The same goes with classes in Universities.

“Stone said he did not want to make an “easy” history programme and talked about trying to understand people he despises. His series will aim to uncover little reported facts that shaped the modern United States.”

So you’re going to be giving me some tarp about “little known facts” from the US? And we’re supposed to believe you? No. Just No. I refuse to support you and your movies, and I refuse to support a single thing you say. Any information from history I will ever get will be from credible college textbooks and my history professors.

“”Hitler is an easy scapegoat throughout history and it’s been used cheaply. He’s the product of a series of actions. It’s cause and effect,” he said.”

Creating a movie that looks at the bigger picture- like the events surrounding Hitler’s rise to power and all of the larger, outside causes, is something that should be done. It helps us remember so we can prevent atrocities like the holocaust from happening. Combining this examination with how Hitler was influenced by them will be even more profitable.

Hitler was of course a human being. He had a head, a brain, working organs, and a body that enabled him to do the basic functions of life.

Was he a human in terms of compassion and soul? Absol-effing-lutely NOT. Hitler being “Scapegoated?” I don’t think he understands the word “scapegoat.”

The Christians were scapegoats for the Roman Fire in 63 AD. The Christians were scapegoats for the woes of the late Roman Empire.

The Jews were scapegoats for numerous things, such as the death of Jesus, Black Plague, and one of the prime causes for Germany’s woes post WWI.

Everything Hitler has done, he is rightly to be blamed for. He institutionalized genocide.

Don’t even get me started on Stalin.

  20. snapdragon says:

hitler was a scapegoat…hmmmm. i suppose he thinks pol pot just got a raw deal, and vlad the impaler was just having a bad day. shut up, oliver stone.

  21. becky says:

Oliver, Oliver, Oliver, step away from the bong.

  22. Cat says:

@filthycute that’s an odd thing to say! People are stating their opinions left and right.

And yeah, about how there’s a whole chain of events from WWI that led to WWII. . . .no sh*t Sherlock. I couldv’e told you that!

  23. bo says:

You know what’s weird. If you had told me Jillian already had a son and asked me his name, I would have come up with Rocco on my own. ?

  24. mollination says:

    Thanks for the catalano!

  25. ng says:

I’m sorry, and I think I’ll be banned for this, but Stalin and Mao-tse tung killed many times more people in the same century than Hitler did, but you never hear about them. I wonder if that’s what Oliver stone was referring to.

  26. faye says:

wow what a piece of degenerate shit.

  27. KLO says:

ng, i agree with you. Stalin is not being talked about as much because he was the ally of the USA in WWII.
Hitler was an amateur compared to Stalin.

  28. filthycute says:

@Cat, hey. I know, but what I meant to express was that people can’t express (unpopular) opinions without being vilified and burned at the stake.

  29. EMV says:

I never liked Oliver Stone’s movies, except for Platoon. They usually are to slanted to watch with an unbiased view. This confirms all things about him I was thinking before, he is an ass.

  30. NunyaBiz says:

    Filthycute,
Exagerate much? Everyone has a right to express themselves and with that take the consequences of hearing others opinions of their opinions.

    Oliver Stone is fucking prig.

  31. 78. Good site! I truly love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I am wondering how I might be notified whenever a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your RSS which must do the trick! Have a great day!
