SAGs: The Hot-Man Buffet

16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards - Show

George Clooney didn’t walk the red carpet, and I didn’t see Elisabetta in the audience or at his table. He didn’t even seem like he wanted to be on camera! Very un-Clooney! Maybe he knows he’s going to lose the Oscar to Jeff Bridges. Maybe he was just having an off-night? I don’t know. The man still knows how to wear a suit though.

Jon Hamm is just so pretty. The beard is so working for me, and the voice, and the suit, and the hotness. I can’t even describe the feelings I have for this man. I can’t even hate on his girlfriend, that’s how much I love him. Plus, she seems like a sweetheart. Bitch!

I love some Colin Firth. He went with a classic tuxedo and he looked amazing, as usual. I even love the touch of grey in his hair. What a lovely, classy, elegant man:

I don’t watch Glee, but I do think this Matthew Morrison guy is cute. He has a lovely voice, and he seems very humble and nice too. My only complaint is his hair. Less Patrick Dempsey, please. Morrison shouldn’t be trying to get noticed for his hair:

Jeff Bridges is aging like a fine wine, yes? I can’t get over how Bridges is dominating all of these awards shows. And he’s doing it with such grace, sweetness and class. Which is probably why he’ll end up winning the Oscar. I love his crow’s feet, I love his hair, I love his beard. So, so sexy:

My boyfriend Jeremy Renner is actually one of my nominees for worst dressed. Seriously, a blue velvet jacket? Just say no, Jeremy. But he’s still a cutie, bless his heart:

Matt Damon was nominated for Invictus, and he’ll probably end up with an Oscar nomination too. He usually looks the same at the these shows – clean-cut, nice, sweet. There were a bunch of photos of he and his wife Lucy speaking with Jeff Bridges and his wife, so there was definitely some bonding going on, How cute is Matt?

I’ve come to the conclusion that Eli Roth doesn’t photograph that well in still photography. When you get to actually see him speak, he’s very cute. But I miss the beard he’s been wearing the past month. The beard was hot. And his slicked-down hair doesn’t do much for me, either. But still, I would hit it like it was on fire.

While I don’t personally get the whole Justin Timberlake thing, I will still put him up. Even with that hair. Even in that cheesy tux. God, he looks like he’s 14 years old.

Stephen Moyer is only hot when he talks in his normal English accent. Other than that, not so much. He looks tired. But I’d probably still hit it:

SAG Awards 2010 - ARRIVALS

The buffet was a little sad, I know. I apologize. This year the SAGs seemed very low-key, probably because they came so soon after the Golden Globes. Very few people showed up who weren’t nominees, so we didn’t have a lot of men who there just as eye-candy, and those old stand-by eye-candy men didn’t even walk the red carpet! So sad.

UPDATE: More hot men? You want MORE? Here’s Alexander Skarsgard, John Slattery & John Krasinski:

Ugh, I am so with you on Justin Timberlake. He looks like a boy! And a kind of doofy-looking one at that.

*psst* I was hoping for a picture of John Slattery’s beard that you mentioned in the previous post. He’s pretty cute, in his silver-fox kind of way.

  2. Amelia says:

Where’s Alexander Skarsgard?? He was there. We got a glimpse of him right before Edie Falco did her little bit at the beginning. What I could see looked HOT!!!!1

  3. bo says:

I had to stare for a minute to see anything but The Dude. But now that I do, you’re right, very very fine wine.

My favorite is the picture of his hand on Matt Damon’s shoulder. I went into guy mode for a second and wanted them to totally make out for me.

  4. Kaiser says:

I updated with Skarsgard, Krasinski & Slattery!

  5. meaux says:

Oh my, an emphatic yes to the Slattery beard. And Krasinski’s a tasty bonus!

  6. Gwen says:

Thank you Kaiser! John Slattery should always have a beard, he looks very dishy. So does Alex Skarsgard, but he looks more tired here than at the GG’s. I wonder if they filmed the night before.

Also I appriciate that George didn’t walk the carpet. I’m tired of his current “lady”.

  7. ol cranky says:

OK, the reason Eli Roth doesn’t look good at the awards shows is the hair. He has that “my mommy wet my hair and made me comb it back” look that a lot of little boys went around with when they had to go to a family function, church/synagogue or for school pictures back in the 70s.

As for Timberlake, unless he’s following Britney’s lead into being in dire need of psychiatric help, there is no excuse for the denim ruffle shirt – ever – let alone as part of a tux. I am the original glamour fashion don’t and even I know better!

  8. danielle says:

Wow, Timberlake is soooo not sexy. I laugh everytime I hear that song. Then I shudder and change the station.

  9. Stephie says:

Love that smile on Colin Firth. Nice.

  10. Madelyn Rose says:

Goodness, I love Jon Hamm! And his beard is so sexy. I love him more and more whenever he speaks. He reminds me of Clooney – suave, likeable, down to earth. And Hamm is all man. Grrrr.

Jon’s girlfriend seems sweet, but overly clingy. Maybe its because of insecurity, because — and I am just going to be blunt here with my opinion — she is dating way, way up. The two just don’t match to me. And everytime he/MM cast wins, she jumps up in front of the camera, blocks the shot of him, clutches onto his neck and kisses him, while he is trying to walk up to the stage. Of course he is way too nice to be annoyed, but it annoys me just watching her! She did the exact same thing at the Golden Globes!

Funny how John Slattery has a beard now too; he is incredible in Mad Men. Very sexy silver fox look. I wonder if there was any weirdness between his wife, Talia Balisam (sp?) and her ex-husband, George Clooney???

Yes, and where was Elisabetta? And why was George acting so weird? It was like he was embarassed by the nomination. Maybe trying to act dismissive of it because he knew Jeff would win?

  11. Tess says:

Jeff Bridges is a class act. He seems so comfortable in his own skin.

Contrast him with Colin Firth, who I like a lot, but, to me, Firth looks so styled, whereas Bridges looks rumpled and real. Looks like he dressed himself and combed his own hair—maybe with a little help from his wife.

    Which is incredibly masculine…and sexy.

  12. jess says:

how exactly is matthew morrison supposed to wear his hair? its sooo curly there isn’t much more you can do with it and no one over the age of 16 should have a buzzed head.

  13. Solveig says:

Michael Fassbender and Colin Firth (and a cute bad-dressed Justin Timberlake, who looks like a teenager though) in the same place at the same time can cause a massive heart attack. They are so charming and sexy.
    *sigh*

  14. amanda says:

Jon Hamm’s wife made that movie Kissing Jessica Stein

  15. amanda says:

Oh, sorry- they (Jon Hamm and Jessica Westfeldt) aren’t married… but they have been in a relationship for twelve years, apparently (since 1997). So, I don’t know about the whole “dating up” thing. Seems like a pretty established, equal relationship. 12 years is a LONG time.

  16. lambchops says:

Clooney really does know how to wear a suit. He must have learned a lot living in Italy.

  17. boo says:

“The buffet was a little sad, I know. I apologize.”

    I beg to differ.

  18. Stangely, I do not find Alexander Skarsgard hot in his normal skin color. I only like him when he’s pale…

  19. alibeebee says:

I love Eli Roth He’s beautiful. who cares if he doesnt photofgraph nicely he’s still a beauty and oh yes colin firth is elegantly handsome and oh so classy! he’s like a good wine gets better with age!

  20. nikki says:

    Michael Fassbender has my vote!

  21. SageAdvice says:

Colin Firth is my choice for most lovely man of the night. He’s so…elegant. And he seems really really nice.

    Jon Hamm is always yummy.

  22. Curious says:

I don’t get the love for Eli Roth. His movies are crappy hack exploitation without an ounce of intelligence behind them. Watching any of his films brings one to the conclusion that he hates vaginas… Is he better as an actor or something?

  23. Jamie says:

oh my gosh, Colin Firth can still make my heart skip a beat. ADORE him!!

  24. Julie says:

Madelyn Rose@10- I agree with you about Jon Hamm’s girlfriend being clingy and insecure. They’ve been together a long time and he’s finally hitting it big. She is older than him (yes, I looked it up) and she seems, to me at least, to fear losing him. He is just a gorgeous hunk of man and she is starting to have that waxy, botox look. Dating way up, indeed.

  25. Mairead says:

I very beg your pardon Kaiser! You’d ‘put up’ Timberlake, but show no love for The Fassbender? 😯
(in photo with Eli Roth – although I think his accent was sometimes wibbly in Basterds, you can do better Michael). I am very disappointed in you!

  26. ViktoryGin says:

I’m normally not attracted to Colin Firth, but he cleaned up well for this and look absolutely dashing.

Justin, Justin, Justin. God, he retrogressed 10 years with that hair.

And Alex…mmm…yum….can’t wait for the 3 season of True Blood.

And Jeff Bridges is rather AARP hot.

  27. lea says:

    so yummy….love the Basterds!

  28. fizXgirl314 says:

Jeff Bridges is so awesome… I’ve always liked that guy…

  29. MeowMix says:

Ohhhhh…Skarsgard. He’s the dreamiest. And I don’t even like blondes.

  30. blaugrau says:

I don’t get those comments about Hamm’s girlfriend. She isn’t dating up, she’s also a very atractive woman. He became famous when he was already a man, not a teenager, this is probably why he looks so down to earth and didn’t let the fame go to his head (like Timberlake did), and why he probably won’t mess up with his long relationship. Why are some comments so harsh on women? And the saddest thing is that they come from other women…

  31. Lenore says:

Curious – yes, a thousand times yes re: Eli Roth.

I am not generally given to leching over men – I prefer my older, wiser, sexy-because-they’re-talented, not-actually-pretty men, the Gary Oldman types – but something about him in Inglourious Basterds just appealed to a very shallow, adolescent part of my soul (and by soul, I mean – well, you can probably guess).

I’d never normally describe anyone as dirty hot, but he IS DIRTY HOT. Shame his actual movies are such misogynistic hackwork.

  32. Moomoomoo. says:

I’ll take a Jon and a Jeff please, thanks very much.

Seriously, how many fellas that handsome do you see just walking ’round? Not where I live! Not just handsome but charismatic, sigh.

  33. Julie says:

Blaugrau: She is an attractive woman who had a career in her own right. I just don’t get all the botox. Why do women do that to their faces? She has the same expressionless look that Nicole and Renee have. Clingy women don’t impress me either. Guess one has to be one to admire one. May they have a long and happy life together. Nothing we say here will make any difference anyway.

  34. Jazz says:

    Jeff Bridges for the Oscar!

  35. Rory says:

    To Kaiser,

Thank you so much for posting Alexander Skarsgards pic. This is HOTNESS times a million. I wonder why Anna P is not dating him. Yeah, the English dude is ok, but he is 5ft7 and the hotness that is Alexander Skarsgard is 6ft 4 which is a whole of man to handle

  36. Gemini says:

Thank you Nikki! I love Michael Fassbender and Kaiser didn’t even mention him there with Eli Roth. I loved him in the 300. He was the one who said, “Then, we shall fight in the shade!”

  37. Mairead says:

Just on Michael Fassbender; The New York Times has a great interview with him on their youtube channel, where he hums the Magnum PI theme tune and other random noises 😆 .

I noticed a funny coincidence with him and his character on Basterds, where they comment on his character’s accent being odd. I’ve only ever seen him in stuff where he is putting on an accent, so it was surprising to find that (to Irish ears), his real accent is actually quite odd.

  38. Gemini says:

Thanks Mairead. I enjoyed that interview! Well, he did grow up watching American television. He actually seemed quite obsessed with it, of course I am basing this comment solely on that interview though.

  39. Madelyn Rose says:

Thanks Julie…just because we, as women, give our honest opinions on here about the wives and girlfriends of famous men does not mean we are trashing other women. I am talking about acting like you are insecure and desperate with a face that barely moves.

And I agree with you all on Colin Firth – the man is sexy and elegant. I need to see his movie – has anyone seen it? And Colin’s wife, Livia I think, she too is sexy, composed, confident and classy! Love her.

  40. coucou says:

NO to the Skarsgard and the JT – all the rest YES…this is great! I was wondering where the hot men were! Top 3 – Hamm, Firth, and Bridges – IMO. I bet Colin could rock a nice trim beard.

Man, that Hamm’s girlfriend is LUCKY. I could have me some Hamm every night…

The woman with Slattery is Clooney’s ex-wife? Nice couple.

  41. Barbara says:

Man, I thought I was the only one who noticed how clingy Hamm’s girlfriend is. She always grabs and kisses him when there’s a camera present. I’ve seen some videos where he looks downright embarrassed by her actions. I don’t necessarily agree with the “dating up” remark so much as I agree she appears very insecure about the relationship and tries very hard to show “see, he’s with me!!”

  42. Tony says:

    Hi Guys,
Does anyone knows the cute guy, with wavy curly hair at the 2010 SAG awards , a few seats besides Edie Falco from the “Nurse” The camera focussed 4 to 5 times, on edie at the begining and when she won, and also when another actor won (I think its Jeff bridges)

    Please comment, Thank you.
