Tiger Woods photographed jogging outside his home

Tiger Woods Jogging Near Home In Orlando
Tiger Woods has almost managed to avoid being photographed in the months since his Thanksgiving blow out and subsequent cheating scandal. There were some blurry faraway photos taken at his rehab in Mississippi, but Tiger tried to throw off the scent by hiring a lookalike to dress in the same clothes and drive his car. (In my opinion that’s what happened. I would bet good money that it was Tiger in those initial pictures.) Now Tiger was photographed up close jogging outside his home in Orlando. It was surely a staged picture as the agency was Getty Images, which primarily photographs events and is not a paparazzi agency as TMZ points out. Tiger is staying separately from his wife, Elin, who was spotted bringing two cups of coffee to his place. He’s also sharing custody and seeing his two young children.

Tomorrow Tiger will hold a carefully controlled media event at a nearby golf resort in which he’ll apologize and make some kind of announcement to invited media. There will be no questions taken at all and they emphasize that it’s not a press conference. This was all announced through a statement sent to news outlets and posted on Tiger’s website. It’s a little better than his two previous statements, but the arrogance is still obvious. It’s like he thinks it’s our fault for talking about his multiple affairs with various skanks. Tiger is the highest paid sports player of all time. He traded on his “family man” image to make over a billion dollars in endorsement deals. What an assh*le he is for thinking he’s above responsibility for his wandering dick.

Tiger Woods will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates at 11:00 a.m. EST on Friday at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future, and he plans to apologize for his behavior.

While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between him and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him. He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends, and that’s what he’s going to discuss.

His remarks will be open to a press pool for live coverage. It is NOT a news conference.

[From Tiger Woods’ website]

This is about Tiger and his people getting the money flowing again, it’s NOT about Tiger actually believing he owes an apology to anyone. This guy really turns my stomach and while Nike and EA have stood by him I hope that other sponsors realize that being associated with Tiger in any way is only going to hurt the bottom line.

Who cares about Tiger – he is a loser. I’m just interested in seeing what Elin’s going to do next.

Tiger is brave for roaming the streets at this point. I’m sure many people would like to spit at him ……….. i would, but i live in SA, the closest i’ll ever get to him is spitting a loogy at my TV screen. (I’d never ever do that to my TV, That would just be disrespectful)

  2. Bee says:

I don’t think cheating is ok but I also don’t agree that ‘He traded on his “family man” image to make over a billion dollars in endorsement deals.’
He was making millions WAY before he got married and had kids.
He is the best golfer in the world and that is what he traded on to make his money.
He does not owe us an apology; he is not an elected official who made promises to us! To think that he owes US an apology is narcissistic!

  3. bros says:

I agree Bee. Im ok with this not being about me. I dont know why he needs to keep talking about it. I wish this story would just die.

  4. Ben says:

The guy didn’t commit a crime and as bee said he’s not an elected official therefore he doesn’t really owe me anything.
I don’t understand people who work themselves up into passionate anger over something in someone’s personal life, a person they don’t actually know.

  5. Ben says:

I mean something not illegal like having numerous affairs. I’m not talking about illegal activity.

  6. buellblaster says:

Poor little rich Tiger and his “problem”… yeh…right… Sexual addiction my butt… that’s just some COCKamamie idea a man came up with it after they got caught cheating. Hate when these men get outed and disappear to “rehab” so their PR team can figure out how to court public favor again. He’s a doofus.

  7. gg says:

Ben, it’s because people put themselves in Elin’s shoes and cannot believe he did that to her – and for many years, multiple times. I myself am flabbergasted that any man would do that to their young wife who they have two tiny children by. It’s Disgusting! So people are pissed. It’s called EMPATHY.

And just like Slick Willy Clinton, if he would lie and cheat about something like this so easily — wtf else is lying about? Because don’t tell me they only lie to their wives and are bastions of truth the rest of the time. 🙄 There clearly are no lines of morality, decency or respect for their wives, these two. I’ll continue to rake em over the coals until nothing is left but shreds of tendon that the dogs can pick at, frankly.

  8. princess pea says:

True, it’s nothing to do with me, and frankly I’m not personally invested or anything but I do like gossip. I never had a lot of respect for him, and now I have none. I’m interested to see the scheme they’ll concoct to get him back on top. Obviously that’s where he wants to be. The thing is, he clearly cares about how we feel or he wouldn’t be having a little “statement”. If he wanted to retire from public life and work things out with (or even separate from) Elin he could do that without saying anything to the press at all; he certainly has the money to disappear. Making a statement means that it matters to Team Tiger, it IS about the money and the fame.

  9. Giraffe99 says:

Bee, agree with you completely, Tiger Woods owes no-one an explanation apart from his wife. I find it nauseating how people expect him to self-flagellate in front of the world. Why? He is a golfer, I think preversley people have being enjoying his fall, especially all those other pro-golfers.

Like you said, he made millions before he was married, so they idea he was selling some kind of family image is not true. I have bought and will continue to buy some of the products he endorses despite him not inspite of him.

People are free to have sex with who they like, even if we think it’s morally repugnant to us, I don’t control anyone behaviour and no-one controls my actions, we should just be responsible for them.

There are way to many skeletons in my closet to condem Tiger Woods, (not that they include multiple sex partners whilst married) what I am saying is I am not gonna get judgemental about it.

    Ok, rant over.

  10. Cheyenne says:

@princesspea: Wait till the golf season begins. If Tiger is still on his game, he won’t need a scheme to get back on top. As Bee said, he is the best golfer and the world, and it’s his fame as a golfer that made him all his money. What he did to his wife was reprehensible but it’s between him and her and nobody else. I don’t want or need his apology, it’s no business of mine.

  11. Me says:

His ‘family image’ had a LOT to do with his financial success. His managers knew this and encouraged him to marry Elin. His perfect little family made him much more marketable for endorsements. If it was just about his golf skills, he would still HAVE those endorsements.

  12. gg says:

sorry but I will always feel for Elin. It’s just not okay to lie and cheat your wife and kids.

  13. YT says:

His personal life is his personal business, but I am getting a chuckle out of the fact that the paparazzi have been hounding his wife and tracking him only to lose out on the big-money, first photo of Tiger. Maybe they can take another photo of his yacht before they find someone else to pester.

  14. mel says:

@gg we can add lots of names (top government officials) to that list of cheaters. I do hate the fact that Tiger did this to Elin and no she didnt deserve it. He’s only doing this announcement now because he’s returning to golf in a few months. My take once a cheater always a cheater.

  15. princess pea says:

@ Cheyenne – Maybe you’re right, but then I wonder why he, and his reps, have scheduled this. Again, if they didn’t care about the public perception of his behaviour, they wouldn’t have him pull a public mea culpa conference.

It’s all well and good to say that it doesn’t matter to you, or to golf fans, or whatever. But it DOES matter to Tiger et al. That much we know.

  16. Cheyenne says:

@princesspea: Maybe he just wants to lay this to rest once and for all before the golf season starts. I will say this: if I were him, I would speak this one time, and then refuse to say anything else on the subject, anywhere, at any time, to anybody.

@Me: Sorry, but Tiger had those endorsements long before he ever met Elin, let alone married her.

  17. Giraffe99 says:

@Me, I could be wrong but I don’t remember in any of his endorsements Tiger using images of his family etc. In fact, since this whole thing blew up, I can honestly say I didn’t know what his wife and kids looked like, he always seemed like a private guy to me.

  18. MsTriste says:

He’s gained weight. My husband says “That’s what happens when you’re not getting laid”.

  19. Kim says:

His family life had very little to do w/ endorsements, his family never appeared in ads . He was #1 golfer for 12 years thats why he got his endorsement . Personally I hope he announces he’s taking a year off from the tour.

  20. Ben says:

gg if you’re putting yourself in his wife’s shoes. Would you really want the world stalking you and commenting and trying to rally up a mob against Tiger regarding a terrible personal issue? I think not.

  21. gg says:

Ben, I never said or thought that. That is a huge stretch from what I said.

I think he needs to disappear from public view for a few years and live a quiet life and truly work on his issues. I do not think a lynch mob helps anything.
