Chris Brown defends Tiger Woods, says “my hat is off” to him

Chris Brown walks the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York

This story honestly turns my stomach. One guy is an entitled emotionally abusive philanderer who made a billion dollars playing golf. The other guy is a narcissistic, immature kid who beat, choked and bit his girlfriend and left her for dead, and who also made a million plus as a singer. The woman-beating singer relates to the serial cheating golf player and thinks he’s experienced enough media fallout to comment on the matter. This is the same stupid kid who called the media response to the way he terrifically battered Rihanna “immature” and “blown out of proportion.” Maybe Tiger Woods and his 13+ mistresses can relate to Brown too. What’s the big deal, right?

Chris Brown compared himself to Tiger Woods in a radio interview Wednesday, saying both him [sic] and the golf icon deserve second chances from the public for their mistakes…

The R&B star told the Mojo In The Morning radio show “nobody has the right to place judgment or make any judgment on somebody else’s personal life when they’re not directly involved with them.

“Whatever his personal life is and I think this goes for me and him — his personal life is his personal life,” the convicted woman batterer said of Woods, who admitted to cheating on his wife Elin during his televised apology last Friday. “Like they might be a fan, or might support what they’re doing but like if he plays golf, like that’s his sport, that’s his hobby, that’s his love, that’s what people love him for. They don’t love him for the other stuff that they talking about.

Brown — whose clean cut-image was tarnished after he beat then-girlfriend Rihanna last year — drew parallels between himself and Woods.

“I think, even with me, like I do music, I sing songs, like I’m an entertainer, I’m a performer, but people make mistakes,” the Forever singer told the show. “So my hat is off to him — I support him, I hope he gets back on the field and does his thing, cause he is the best at it.”

[From Radar Online]

So Brown said “nobody has the right to place judgment or make any judgment on somebody else’s personal life when they’re not directly involved with them.” So we’re supposed to just shrug when someone famous severely beats their girlfriend or cheats on their wife with numerous hookers and porn stars? They’re here to entertain us and even if they behave as if they have no morals in their personal life Brown thinks it shouldn’t matter. I don’t care how well someone sings or plays a sport if they’re committing crimes when they’re not in the public eye. I chose not to support those type of scumbags. The difference between Tiger and Chris is that, as Tiger’s mom said, (most) of his activities weren’t illegal. (It is illegal to hire hookers in the city of Las Vegas.)

this guy is a tool. somebody should be fired for even letting him speak…

  2. SammyHammy says:

Why is this even a story? I mean, why would anyone care about anything this loser has to say?

  3. Tia C says:

    Of COURSE he said that…

Mojo in the Morning? DETROIT REPRESENT!!!

  5. annaloo says:

I’ll say it again: Could we please ban all Chris Brown stories on Celebitchy? PLEASE???!

  6. Leek says:

This is the last time I will comment on a person that I couldn’t care less about, so, why don’t we all just stop commenting on people we can’t stand and then maybe Celebitchy will stop writing about them b/c we are bringing to light their irrelevancy.

It’s just an idea but I definitely understand how difficult it would be not to comment on how giant of an A-hole someone is.

  7. bellaluna says:

Someone please sew this idiot’s mouth shut. Honestly, his hat’s off to Tiger? Talk about having a skewed role model!

  8. lilred says:

doesn’t he mean his asshat is off to him.

  9. Just a Poster says:

Could this kid get any more stoopid?

  10. Marie says:

Isn’t it illegal to cheat on your wife?

  11. bros says:

i agreethat tiger’s personal sex life activities are private, but chris brown is a CRIMINAL. nothing tiger did was illegal (unless we call hookers illegal, but thats stretching it) and chris brown doesnt get to pretend that its part of his personal private life to be an abusive criminal. he’s such a twit to not see the distinction and he really needs to keep his mouth shut because these situations are not the same at all.

  12. Hellencatherine says:

So now everyone of you think your perfect and better than Chris brown and Tiger Woods who the hell do you think you are to Judge him, only God and his Mother are the only ones who can place judgement on him. I am sure many of you have done worse things so please don’t place judgement on Chris brown or Tiger wood, you don’t even know him, and no one is perfect.

  13. ! says:

Nope, I’m pretty sure I’ve never beat my partner half to death and then ran off. I’ve never cheated on my partner with over 15 people while pretending to be God’s gift. And I’ve certainly never done worse than those two things. SORRY. I will not turn a blind eye to other people’s garbage simply because I want to like them, as you seem to be doing.

  14. boo says:

@Helencatherine – Chris Brown beat up a woman. He physically assaulted a woman that is a lot smaller than him. :e blackened her eyes, but her and caused her to bleed. People have every right to judge him and I doubt that many posters at this site have beat up a person that is smaller than them if anybody at all. You might not want to read CB if you don’t want to see scum like Chris and Tiger get bashed.

  15. tabularasa says:

I dont think people have the right to judge people for their actions. true enough what both of them did was wrong but we do not have the right to stand around and point fingers because beleive it or not we’ve all done something wrong ( although by the looks of things it seems as if no one on here thinks that they have) think about it……? although all sins may be different some more or less disturbing than others to us in the eyes of GOD they are all the same ALL SINS ARE EQUAL….. so yeah maybe CHRIS should shut his mouth but then again SO SHOULD SOME OF YOU and while your at it take a look in the mirror ……

  16. gg says:

Hellencatherine, you drank the koolade. Now eat some smarties and get real.

tabularasa, you need to take a left at the cute puppies website – you’re clearly not at the right place for your conscience.

  17. Obvious says:

@hellencatheirne who re you? Chris? chris’s mom?

I have never done anything like what tiger or chris have done and I get to judge, because they BOTH put themselves out there as rolemodels, and it’s so nice to know that our children are looking up to these scumbags (more chris). and we don’t have a right to judge?

but did he have the right t beat his girlfriend half to death? did tiger have the right to expose his wife and children to whatever diseases his “mistresses” may have had? no. therefor we may judge to our hearts content.

    p.s. gg here here

  18. princess pea says:

@ tabularasa: I wish that, in your infinite patience and utter lack of judgment for violent abusers and philanderers who ignore their sacred vows for their own pleasure, you could find the time to remind yourself that not everyone you meet on the internet believes in your god. So, no, I don’t have to feel bad because I am a sinner; I don’t really buy into the concept of “sin”. And I can judge all I want; who is it hurting?

  19. KateNonymous says:

“I dont think people have the right to judge people for their actions. true enough what both of them did was wrong”

@tabularasa, you’re contradicting yourself. At best. It might also be called hypocrisy. Why? Because if you don’t think that people should judge others for their actions, why do you get to say that what both of them did was wrong?

Beyond that, if God sees all sins as equal, then all actions must be equal, which means there is no sin in your belief system.

  20. meme says:

    chris who?

  21. tey says:

wish he would just go away.

  22. bellaluna says:

Um, I’m pretty sure most of us on this site haven’t beaten up our significant others (judging from the vehemence directed at Chris Brown), nor have we cheated on our spouses with multiple sluts while representing ourselves as devoted family individuals. Therefore, we are entitled to our opinions regarding both of these men (and I use that term loosely).

  23. Peach says:

You know right now Tiger is soooo distancing himself from that comment. I mean, Tiger might like to bang a lot of girls, but that’s not even near the same as BITING ONE IN THE FACE.

Oh and on judgment: You can tell me all you want that it’s wrong, but I’m judging you right now. Not a damn thing you can do about it so deal and mind your business.

  24. snapdragon says:

chris brown approves of a fellow douchebag – film at 11:00. in other news, water is wet.

  25. lucy2 says:

What Chris Brown did was commit a violent crime against another human being, and he plead guilty, if I recall. How is anyone judging him? A fact is a fact.

As rotten a thing as Tiger did (over and over) there’s no comparison.

  26. westender says:

Was Chris Brown upset that John Mayer was getting all the attention lately for making stupid comments? He should have kept his mouth shut and focused on what little career he has left.

  27. Maleficent says:

Lord I hate his face. I agree, could you please stop posting stuff on this douche bag, woman beating swine?

  28. ohsofabulous says:

You hear that? That’s the sound of Chris brown digging an even deeper hole for himself. Soon he will be so deep that we won’t be able to see or hear from him anymore. Hooray. I will get a shovel so that I can help him.

  29. Emily says:

I agree with Peach and lucy2. Tiger may have betrayed and hurt his wife and family, but I don’t see that as anywhere near as bad as what Brown did. Brown should be in prison, simple as that. Woods, well, I think Elin should take him for all he’s got and get the hell out.

  30. gg says:

He’s only smiling that big because Tiger helped take away the big bad press that was hounding him for being a dog about women. In Chris’ mind he probably thinks what Tiger did was worse because of the big press involved in his apology. Well, there would have been a fairly big interest if CHRIS had made an APOLOGY now wouldn’t there have been? Except he just goes around denying things and saying he was upset that ‘it happened’. Big diff in those two right there.

  31. imo says:

“Beat and left for dead” ?!?! baiting much? They’re both asses but when you start sensationalizing to make your point seem valid then you’ve missed your mark. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, he voiced his and its an issue?

  32. Madchen says:

Listen Tabby, it’s what we do here.

On the topic, an endorsement by Chris Brown is probably the last thing Tiger and his PR team want. Too bad!!

Does Chris really think this will help Tiger? Really?

  33. Jag says:

They put themselves in the public eye, so the public eye gets to comment and have an opinion.

Nope, I’ve never been married and serially cheated on my spouse, and I’ve never beaten, choked and bitten my significant other. I haven’t done worse than those things, either. Have you?

  34. lin234 says:

Celebitchy- I found this on Jezebel:

Chris Brown says, “As a kid and even now like I’ve never been a troublemaker, or someone who is like all about negativity like, um, I had a major hiccup and a major mistake that I am paying for and I am remorseful for, but like I’ve always been a good person, so, not to brag or toot my own horn, but it’s just me naturally. So like I wouldn’t expect anything less from me like but to show people that I’m a positive guy.” [Perez]

Every time he opens his mouth, it gets worse and worse.

  35. H says:

Someone just needs to knee him in the groin.

  36. Emily says:

@lin234, my god. “Had a major hiccup”? Urgh, he makes me sick. And he still isn’t taking responsibility over what he did! Having a major hiccup is when you plan to meet a friend somewhere and one or both of you gets the details wrong. Beating up your partner, or anyone, for that matter, is a crime, numbnuts!

  37. Kimi says:

What a tool! I can’t stand this loser

  38. p3rp3tu4 says:

He should donate his “oops” to an Haiti Fundraiser. I need a C.B. Photo blocker a special C.B. adblock plus.

  39. celandine says:

    Dear Chris Brown,

A closed mouth gathers no feet.

  40. Dani says:

Even LOOKING at chris brown makes me sick. He has that creepy look about him, and I would never even want to be in the same room with him. His eyes just scream abuser.

  41. Lway says:

@ snapdragon: LOL! 🙂 Thanks for the laugh!

Chris Brown should STFU and Tiger will never be as Awesome as he once was to all of us – he is disgusting!

    @Helen – yeah i said it!

  42. Slymm27 says:

Leave chris brown and tiger alone. What they did was bad, but as i have said b4, all men cheat, there is not a man on planet earth that doesnt cheat. Leave them alone. Hypocrites!

  43. Slymm27 says:

Tiger will become a great golfer again, and yes he messed up, but which man hasnt. And chris beat his girl, bad nd pathetic, but he apologized, get over it. WTH!

  44. Mikey says:

  45. Emily says:

Slymm27, I don’t speak for everyone, but a lot of people feel Brown’s apology was insincere. He constantly talks about the beating like it was something that he had no control over, something that just happened to him. Until he realises that he is solely responsible for Rhianna’s beating, I won’t “get over it”.

  46. wrinks says:

not all men cheat. stop trying to make yourself feel better about being such a disgusting slimebag.

i hope your significant other if you can ever obtain one cheats on you with over 13 disease ridden people
