‘Tis the season for dumb movies about over-the-hill movie stars trying to recapture their glory days. Tom Cruise leans into it… and Brad Pitt does not. F1 (the movie) comes out on June 27. Given the way this year is going, I’m definitely worried that this might be a hit. I hope it’s not. I hope F1 is a huge bomb. I hope people stop trying to convince us that a credibly accused domestic abuser like Brad Pitt is worthy of all of this attention, or that he should helm this dumbf–k vroom-vroom movie. It’s worth noting, yet again, that they spent $300 million-plus making F1. So even if it’s a “modest” success, it could still lose a lot of money.

Anyway, here are some photos from the Mexico City premiere event on Monday. Pitt was there, as was Damson Idris, Kerry Condon and director Joseph Kosinski. Also in attendance: Jeremy Kleiner, President of Plan B. Plan B produced F1, even though Pitt sold 60% of Plan B to Mediawan in 2022. I kind of feel sorry for Kerry and Damson – I’m not rooting for them to be hurt if this film bombs. They both seem super-talented, and I imagine neither of them felt like they could turn down the money.

Brad recently went for a buzzcut, which he hasn’t done in many years. His facelift is fighting for its life! He needs some hair to soften his face work, in my opinion. Anyway, stay alert – Pitt is going to be back on his bullsh-t big-time in the coming weeks. Lots of leaks about Angelina, lots of vague stories about Ines de Ramon, maybe even some lies about his kids. I wonder if anyone will bring up the still-ongoing Miraval lawsuits.
