Sarah Ferguson dropped her title on her business registration & social media

A few days ago, the Mail published a cache of emails between Jeffrey Epstein and Sarah Ferguson. While Sarah is not implicated in the kind of grotesque sex crimes as her ex-husband, Sarah was still in pretty deep with Epstein. Reportedly, Epstein was one of Fergie’s major backrollers, with Andrew Lownie claiming that Epstein gave Fergie something like $2 million over the course of 15 years. Not only that, but the emails prove that Fergie lied about so much. She was still in contact with Epstein in the years after his first stint in prison, she was still bringing her daughters around a convicted predator, she was still sending him warm emails after she claimed to cut off contact with him. The thing that’s saving Fergie at the moment is that her ex-husband is the one getting the bulk of the criticism (which is well-deserved). She’s already changed her Twitter handle and she plans to go back to her maiden name for all aspects of her life now:

After Prince Andrew announced that he would no longer use his royal titles, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson has removed “the Duchess of York” from her social media.

Andrew, 65, announced on Friday, Oct. 17, that he would give up use of his royal titles and honors, including as the Duke of York, and PEOPLE understood that his ex-wife, 66, would no longer use her Duchess of York title after the change. Fergie, as she is popularly known, has since changed her X handle from “@SarahTheDuchess” to “@sarahMFergie15.”

Her Instagram handle, “@SarahFerguson15,” remains the same.

While Prince Andrew’s ex-wife has long used Sarah Ferguson professionally, PEOPLE understands that she will now do so in all areas.

Additionally, the Mail reports on some changes made by Fergie for her businesses. Yes, she still has registered businesses in the UK. Fascinating.

Sarah Ferguson has removed her Duchess of York title from Companies House after changing her social media handle, the Daily Mail can reveal. The change appeared on updated details of the royal’s company Planet Partners Productions Limited – two days after her title was scrubbed from the bio of her social media profiles.

Fergie’s details for Planet Partners now read ‘Sarah Margaret Ferguson’, having previously been listed as ‘Sarah, Duchess of York’. She has also changed her occupation from ‘director’, to ‘charity patron, spokesperson, writer and TV presenter’.

And she no longer goes by the handle ‘SarahTheDuchess’ on her X account but is now ‘sarahMFergie15’. Fergie – who received her royal title through her marriage in 1986 – will now be known simply as Sarah Ferguson in any official capacities.

You know what I keep thinking about? The Mayfair townhouse mysteriously bought by Fergie in 2022, which she was apparently renting out for an exorbitant rate, and which she sold last month. She sold it for a loss as well. Like… it’s interesting to consider her money moves in recent years. Was she preparing to move out of Royal Lodge no matter what? Where did the money come from in the first place? And at this point, does more attention need to be paid to Fergie’s connections to Epstein too?

Is there any chance she will ever get to do these things again ‘charity patron, spokesperson, writer and TV presenter’? with her reputation as it is ? I too wonder about the Mayfair house were they given a heads up and couldn’t she have lived in the house sawy from RL when things blew up ? i thought her daughters bought the house, have the kids managed to hold on to their inheritance and are they now supposed to support their parents, as a child of a mother who had no concept of money its a hard slog

    • SURE says:

Mayfair was a money laundering business opportunity, right?

      • SarahCS says:

        Absolutely

My thought as well. It’s a logical conclusion (albeit one of a number) to the question regarding why Epstein continued to lend her money. I could absolutely envision Sarah being the go-between in laundering situations—she had access to the same crowd Andrew did and she could keep Andrew’s hands clean.

  2. Wash says:

What is the endgame for all of this? The sudden shift from Andrew to Fergie can only mean that if anyone moves out of Royal Lodge, it’ll be her. As for dropping her titles, who still looks at the Duchess of York as having any clout?

  3. Eurydice says:

Of course, there should be more scrutiny into Sarah’s connections with Epstein. She and Andrew are partners in crime. It’ll be interesting to see what she does next, now that she doesn’t have the threadbare cover of Duchess to cling to.

  4. Flamingo says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if Epstein was the one coaching her to sell connections to Andrew. She only stopped because she got busted once by the UK media. I can only imagine how much cash she pocketed before she got exposed.

Sarah may have no power but she has a name and a title and that was useful to Jeffrey Epstein to get introductions to UK royalty and high power leaders through that connection. He wasn’t bankrolling her for the fun of it. They are all just closing ranks right now with optics on quietly removing titles from social media. But they will still be supported regardless.

Just so gross how this all gets glossed over to attack a woman because her raspberry spread sold out too fast.

    • PunkyMomma says:

Flamingo, I think you’ve nailed this. I commented on an earlier thread that Sarah earned her keep with Epstein through her connections and possibly aiding him in money laundering.

I suspect she’s cleaning up her act because she lacks the protection a blood royal would have. Sarah’s the most likely to be thrown under the bus.

Whatever you can say about Sarah, she is a survivor. She far outlasted the great and wonderful Princess Diana (the greatest royal since Queen Elizabeth the 1st, IMO). She may have no honor or integrity (like her husband and most of the royals), but she always pops up again–there’s something to be said for that–and she’s a married-in.

    • Libra says:

Agree. Would add that to be a survivor in the House of Windsor requires one to be a useful survivor. To whom is she useful? And for what purpose? Hmmm.

Somewhat off topic here but that green and pink dress looks good on her!
