Here are some great photos from the New York premiere of The Runaways. I cannot get over how Dakota Fanning is growing up before our eyes. She really is turning into a beautiful young woman with a very classy style. Even though I’m not a huge fan of a nude, beaded cocktail dress, DakFan is still a cutie, and she does look age-appropriate (she’s 16 years old). As for Kristen Stewart… well, she didn’t look horrible. I kind of liked her very detailed dress even if the fit was weird on the bust. But in too many of these photos, K-Stew once again looks like she’s mid-eye roll. She needs to stop coming to these events after taking a bong hit, for real. Still, I can tell that she’s trying to make an effort, so maybe that’s a subtle improvement.
Once again, Joan Jett and Cherie Currie also walked the red carpet. These two ladies look pretty great too.
Dakota also made an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show last night, and she’s already the subject of some complaints that her image is already too sexualized. You know, because she and K-Stew make out in the film, and because Dakota has long legs and wears skirts on the shorter side, I guess. Considering she’s not wearing Miley Cyrus-esque booty shorts and pole-dancing on the Teen Choice Awards, and is instead simply playing a part of a sexualized teenager, I think we should just give Dakota a break.

I just get the vibe that Stewart feels she is far above all this, too good for the trivialities of promoting the movie.
Dakota, on the other hand, seems very grounded and humbled by all the attention. Good for her!

Dakota Fanning is such a doll-she is adorable and a great actress. Kristen is a plain jane pothead with a lame-ass attitude. I hope her minutes are almost up.
god, i can’t stand this girl. she is so boring and snotty. dakota, on the other hand, is going to rule hollywood when she comes of age.
Look at that dress Dakota’s wearing, it’s a sweet color, has cute little cap sleeves, and hits her just above the knee. Finally a teenage girl who knows how to dress for her age! I think she looks really pretty and fresh and just all-around lovely.
As for K-Stew, she tries WAY too hard to appear like she’s too cool for school. She’s always posing or pulling a face, trying to looking disinterested and hip. It fails miserably.
Such a pretty dress Dakota is wearing. Kristen looks like she’s back to her surly self. I’d love for the movie to be a flop, but I like Dakota and Joan Jett, so can’t really say that. Too much attention is being paid to Kristen Stewart. Hopefully, it’ll stop sooner, rather than later.
I’m not saying she never makes a stupid face, but can you sit and hold a pleasant face, never blinking or opening and closing your mouth, never standing awkwardly or slumping for however long you’re on the red carpet? Her makeup’s not doing her any favors either. That’s a horrible lip color.
By now, I think the paps are dying to get pics of her looking less than good. I’m sure there were other times when she looked interested, had her mouth closed and even smiled. It’s just those aren’t the pics that everyone loves to gripe about.
I think Dakota looks like a younger, nicer Amanda Seyfried. She’s lovely though, like Jodie Foster and Brooke Shields, she seems to have made the transition from young star to a nearly adult actress beautifully.
Snoball, I love to gripe about all the Twilight kids. They burn my ass.
Awww..please give Kristen a break, I think it’s that she’s not entirely comfortable posing in front of the cameras – in interviews she is completely charming, articulate and self-deprecating, check out her recent appearance on Leno. And she’s a beautiful girl.
I have one of those faces that looks upset all the time. I could be having the time of my life and people will look at me and say “What’s wrong?” or “Are you okay?”. I think it is just my facial geometry.
I suspect the same thing is going on with Kristen Stewart. I think those sleepy eyes of hers give off the impression that she is bored and uninterested but I doubt that is true.
I agree that Dakota Fanning is cute as a button. Looking at recent pictures though it looks like she has a really big head!
I love it when something gets posted about Rob or Kristen, because its only a matter of time before the Twihards descend to defend “the greatest actors in the world!!111!”
And “those sleepy eyes”? Are probably from the pot she smokes. There are pictures of her with a bowl in her hand, and it’s not tobacco in there, I guarantee it.
Despite all that, I like Kristen. She’s who I picture when someone says “Bella,” I think she’s pretty attractive, and I forgive her for her attitude because she’s young, and she got famous for the most ridiculous movie in the world. I would think I was above it all too.
Both girls look great! I really am digging Kristen’s dress. She looks great! I don’t think she has a lousy attitude about being in the “limelight”. It is just not for her. She partakes because she has to not because she wants to. She does what she is supposed to and gets dressed up and poses which I can see where she would think that it is all for a show which it is. I like her because she is not the normal smile all the time and be fake. She is as real as those celebrities get. Do any of you know what any celebrity is like in real life just because they smile for a couple of photos? No, so quit bashing Kristen because she doesn’t smile all the time. She is a big star and she will be big for a long time to come! So set back and get your bitchy opinions going. I think Kstew just doesn’t buy into the crap of H-wood. Sure, she’s paid good money and she should play along like she’s having fun. But there’s plenty of male actors who are damn good actors and look like they could care less to walk a red carpet. But for some reason, actresses can’t do this or they’re stuck up snobs?

Fanning’s dress is very nice, and I love how she chooses age appropriate clothing. However, I wish it was a different color. She’s young, she should avoid beige! I absolutely love K-Stew’s dress. I want it for my very own. And since there are no movie premieres in my future, I could just wear it to vacuum the house.

I’ve been hoping for years that Dakota Fanning would survive unscathed (like Natalie Portman or Joseph Gordon Levitt) as she transitioned from child star to actress.
I have to give some credit to her parents (whose names I don’t know- I always think it is a positive sign when I don’t know the parent’s names of a child star) who seem to give her a pretty normal life- she goes to a private high school, is a cheerleader, was the sophomore homecoming princess, etc.
Unlike the Mileys, Britneys, and Lindsays, she seems to be a pretty normal 16 year old girl who also happens to be an amazing actress.
If anyone would listen to Kristen’s interviews she is far from feeling she is above all of this. She just doesn’t like this part of her job. Oh well! So what? That doesn’t mean she is a bitch or don’t have a good personality. You people don’t know her. Would her smiling more make her more of a sparkling personality in your eyes? No you would just come up with something else to hate on her about. The people that know her personally says she is down to earth and a lovely person. That is why Rob is with her. You people think you know her but you don’t and should act like you do. In these pictures she is gorgeous and she just looks tired! I guess that is wrong for her to be tired right?? Get a life people and quit worrying about someone elses!!!
I am so over K-stew and can’t wait until this whole Twilight thing is over so that maybe she can go away. You don’t have to love the paps but if you knew things like this go with the job then at least look like you appreciate being given the job. Oh this Kristen Stewart girl – who in the world hires her?! She is the least talented girl Ive ever seen in my life! And her personality in real life is awful to boot. She looks like a boy shoved into a sausage dress. Stand up straight! Im so bummed because I thought runaways would be good but picking her to play Joan Jett was a huge mistake. Dakota is good pick though. This Kristen girl mumbles just like in the vampire movies she is in. The girl cant speak or act. Her 15 mins need to be up.
In that picture with Jett and Currie, I’d love to know what Cherie Currie is thinking. Everyone else is looking at the camera and she is staring at Fanning.
I have read that Fanning’s family is Baptist. She is obviously being brought up well, attending school and participating in school activities. She always seems so grounded and well behaved. I thought it was interesting that, despite the religious background, her parents allowed her to play Currie in such a sexy role. Her range is amazing, though. Last night I saw her on cable in The Secret Life of Bees, playing a very different character and doing that very well.
I love Dakota, and think that she does this whole hollywood child star teen thing just right.
I also have been in lockstep with the general consensus that K-stew is (as @Melanie said) “too cool for school”, but today- seeing her next to Dakota-I am beginning to wonder if she isn’t really just the most insecure, geeky one trick pony, that just looks bratty.
She still can’t act her way out of a paperbag though.

I think Kristen tries to do what’s right at these things but it is just not natural or easy for her to do the publicity. Kudos that she’s trying.
Wonder what the Stewart girl looks like when she actually enjoys something. So far all I have seen are countless versions of her looking like she would rather be anywhere else.
Well, in fairness, Dakota’s done a lot more red carpets in her lifetime than Kristen.
Something about Dakota has always kind of set my teeth on edge. She’s a good actress, for sure, but I have a feeling that in a few more years we’ll be hearing some serious attitude out of her. There’s just a look in her eyes that seems really … superior.

Kristen looks always like she just smelled something bad. I get that all this attention is overwhelming, but as they used to say “if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen”. Which means, she signed up for this by becoming an actor, you have to take the good with the bad. That means, oh , I don’t know, maybe ….smiling occasionally and acting like you might perhaps enjoy the ride?????
I think this is just how K. Stew’s face looks. She has trouble keeping a fake smile on her face all of the time. (So do I) I’m sure she’ll work on it. I don’t think that means she’s snotty or a bad person. Lots of actresses/actors show up on the red carpet beaming like the sun, but it doesn’t mean they are not snotty or horrible. I’m giving the girl a pass on this one.
This guy that was trying to date me torn a new one for not smiling enough. I tried to tell him that’s how my face looks sometimes. Plus, I’m not going going to paste on a fake smile.
So I’m team Kristen all the way. I take her over those plastic perfect “The Hills” girls anyday.

I remembered one time I heard from sources about Kristen have said that she doesn’t know how to posing in front of the camera, she just doesn’t know what to do…. but, I think she learn a lot, based on what I see recently,I mean..now she know a little much about strike a pose…
and Dakota, I think she like being in front of the camera and of course like to dressed up more than Kristen… but, most of all they both are great young Hollywood and they dress for their age which is young and pretty….not like Miley Cyrus she is grow up too fast…

In an earlier post (the one with a clip of the two in Runaways) you said you thought Dakota looked like Diane Kruger but I’ve been thinking since she turned into a young woman that she looks a LOT like Amanda Seyfried (Mama Mia!) to me. They look like they could be sisters. Maybe someone already said that, I don’t always read the comments…….
I am so tired of the blinders all these Kristen Stewart’s sheep have on. Is it possible for these sheep to have an original idea? Kristen is not shy, she’s a hardcore druggie and it was very disrespectful to Cherie Currie who is a drug counselor but Kristen couln’t stay drug free for one night. The good thing is the movie is a flop. I’ve read everything I could get my hands on to see how much money it would need to make to be considered a sucess. 20 million is what it needs to make and it’s not gonna come close to that. The studio only makes about 55% of a movies total gross so this weekend Appriation made $440,000. An Indie studio can’t survive on that.
Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me needs to make $30 million and it’s not gonna come close either. So, the two druggie narcissistic fakes who are the biggest liars in Hollywood have a big fat failure on their resumes. This makes 3 for Kristen, pretty soon no director will want her and no actor will want to be in a film with her. Payback always comes around and with what Kristen and Robert did to Michael, well let’s put it this way a lot more payback is coming their way. Michael was the only man in this scenario because he could of trashed them both and he didn’t. That’s class something Robert and Kristen will never have!
