Wunmi Mosaku & Hailee Steinfeld of Sinners were both pregnant at the Golden Globes

It’s looking like Sinners won’t take home many Academy Awards this year, which is a bummer but I guess it’s to be expected. I hope they get the Actor (nee SAG) for Outstanding Performance by a Cast. (The Actor Awards are on March first.) Last night at the Golden Globes Sinners won in just two televised categories, Cinematic and box office achievement, which is a new category introduced in 2024, and Best original score. Given all we know about The Hollywood Foreign Press Association so white, this seems par for the course. Hamnet won Best film – drama, which is good for them and I’m sure it’s a strong film, but I haven’t heard much about it.

Wunmi Mosaku announced her pregnancy last night by confirming the news to Vogue. This is her second pregnancy! Wunmi was in a yellow Matthew Reisman gown with a chiffon overlay. She wrote in Vogue that she chose that gown based on the Nigerian saying “Iya ni Wúrà” which means “mother is golden.” That’s beautiful and she’s so lovely.

We knew Hailee Steinfeld was pregnant with her first baby, but this is the first time we’ve seen her since the Governors Awards in November. She was in a pink Prada gown with a silver sequin overlay. I love this gown and am so glad she came, especially since she skipped the Critics Choice Awards.

Everyone was hoping that Hailee and Wunmi would pose and belly cup together, for lack of a better way to describe it, and they did! We got that moment.

Jayme Lawson was in a silver sequin gown that featured one cap sleeve and a draped back. It clung to her in all the right places.

Li Jun Li was in a sheer draped Giambattista Valli gown with a giant side poof. I would have liked this better if it wasn’t so open in the front but she brought the drama and looks amazing.

Here is power couple Zinzi and Ryan Coogler. He’s in Thom Browne and I love his shoes! Imagine all the incredible films we’re going to get from these two. I just wish they were getting more flowers now.

And Michael B. Jordan was in Prada. He looked so handsome and I like his little glasses. He brought his mom with him, and she took a sip of her drink when Nikki Glaser made a thirst trap reference to her son. He might not get an Oscar this year (even though he convincingly played two characters!!) but I’m sure he’ll get more chances.

Wunmi is my best dressed of the night. Bright colour which looks AMAZING on her

Wunmi won best dressed for me.

  4. Jay says:

Wunmi is always stunning, but that yellow dress! Maybe my favourite of the night.

  5. JanetDR says:

My favorite is Li Jun Li’s dress if and only if we get rid of the slit altogether. And make the lower part less sheer, so maybe it’s not my favorite after all.
I think Hailey’s dress is the perfect color for her. I like the simplicity of Zinzi’s dress too. It makes it about her and not the dress.

  6. Snarkle says:

I love Li Jun Li’s dress. It’s so hyper feminine and dreamy that I actually like the slit with the booty shorts showing, makes it less saccharine for me.

Hailey S is so naturally pretty, why is she jacking her face in her 20’s? I don’t get it. I hope it’s just bad Botox but her eyes look seriously stressed and stretched. So unnecessary.

Jayme Lawson is so gorgeous. I thought she was luminous in Sinners. And she looks incredible here!

Wunmi and Hailee look incredible. That yellow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was so much black on the red carpet this year (not complaining, I loved most of them like Teyana and Ari) so what a great way to stand out.
