Much like Rose Byrne, Tessa Thompson really stood at the Golden Globes because of the color of her dress. Tessa wore this fantastic Balenciaga in what I would consider an acid green. It’s gorgeous, all of it. The design is amazing, the bead work is exquisite and it just suits her perfectly. She was nominated for Hedda, and I think she might actually have a shot at an Oscar nomination.
Jenna Ortega in Dilara Findikoglu. I feel like this is very on-brand for Jenna and this is her style, her vision. But that doesn’t make it good? The dress is unusual and she stands out, but it’s because this dress is very “first year fashion school.” The f–king arm fringe!
Claire Danes has worn versions of this dress for years, but it still works. And I like how she always reps her good friend Zac Posen too. This is from Posen’s Gap Studio collection.
Aimee Lou Wood in Vivienne Westwood. Lordy, this is bad! The proportions are off, which makes this look like a costume.
Sarah Snook in a lace dress… the dress is meh to me, but she looks fantastic. Great blowout, great makeup.

Tessa Thompson looks great. I also like Sarah Snooks gown for the sleeves. Bring back sleeves in gowns. I’d be going to a designer and asking for a whole Diane Keaton look because it’s hardly done. Enough shoulders.
I wish Jenna would stop doing that to her eyebrows and I hope that’s just hard core contouring and not buccal fat removal.
