Ok…I’ve been watching Johnny’s show on Sundance, and was really starting to love him. His mom is adorable, his whole family has lots of love for each other, I appreciate how “I’m me no matter what all you bitches think” he is. I was also starting to dislike Evan, because Johnny’s show edits clips of him to make him look doltish and like a skating federation puppet. But this just comes off as petty jealousy and made him look like a big fat sore loser. 🙁
And, as another poster mentioned, Johnny Weir refuses to ‘come out’ himself. So, I think he has no business ‘outing’ a competitor. Shame on you, Johnny-you lost major points with me.
One more side comment…we all know tons of straight people who assume everyone they know or see is straight. And, we all know gay people who think everyone is gay. Johnny Weir definitely seems like one of those people. Oh, and all the non-skating fans who assume that all figure skaters are gay (FYI: they’re not). But, he’s known Evan Lysacek since they were 12 (even tho Johnny insists on using the girl’s locker room at competitiions) so maybe he really does know something we don’t.
To all those who are upset cuz Johnny “refuses to come out”. Really does he need to say it? I don’t think he’s trying to hide it. It’s a stupid question, why even bother asking him what is so obvious. Also he tried to take back the wink. It sounded more like he was joking around than outing Evan. He was on the Chelsea Handler show not interviewing with Barbara Walters! Sheesh! Get a sense of humor!
Take it how you like but he didn’t actually out him. He winked at the fact that Tanith was Evan’s “friend,” not ex-girlfriend. Put whatever interpretation you like with that. Maybe Tanith told him she was never Evan’s girlfriend; she and Johnny were roomies after all.
It’s very hypocritial of him to make insinuative gestures about someone else’s sexuality while he plays coy and absolutely refuses to say anything about his own. He feels he shouldn’t have to talk about his own private matters, yet he obviously has no problem giving out information about the private matters of others. Jealousy is probably what’s fueling his nastiness and unfairness. He’s obnoxious and I wish his fifteen minutes of fame were over already.
I do agree with all of the ideas you have presented in your post. They are really convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are very short for starters. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.
