There’s some interesting Dancing With The Stars gossip in this week’s tabloids. Of course Kate Gosselin and her diva ‘tude dominate, and there’s even more news about her massive sense of entitlement and overinflated sense of sex appeal. First off is an amusing article in the National Enquirer about how Kate is going after fellow Dancing contestant, Bachelor Jake Pavelka. Jake is of course engaged to that chick Vienna. (Who will probably get dumped like a hot potato in a month or two once some C-list reality star catches his eye.) That’s not stopping Kate from flirting with him outrageously and asking him out on dates, though:

“Kate is totally unfazed by the fact that Jake is engaged, and she’s making it clear they could have a future,” an insider told The Enquirer.

“Kate’s got a big ego and an even bigger crush on Jake, and she doesn’t care who knows it…”

“Her whole body language changes when he’s around… It’s clear she digs short guys. She likes calling the shots in a relationship and feels it’s easier when she can look her man straight in the eye…”

“Kate’s never looked better, so she feels she could snare a hot guy like Jake,” another source divulged. “She also believes all’s fair in love and war. Since Jake isn’t married yet, she thinks he’s fair game.

“Every chance she gets, she pulls him aside for private chats, and tells him he’s the hottest guy she’s ever met.

“Kate even asked Jake if he’d like to go to dinner with her and made it clear it would just be the two of them. Vienna was left out in the cold.

“Jake politely declined, but Kate isn’t going to give up.”

The Enquirer explains that Kate fell for Jake after he consoled her when her first dance was totally panned. He tried to encourage her and she seems to have taken it the wrong way. It sounds so typical of this woman to go after an attached guy and justify it, even though she was betrayed by a cheating husband. She’s thinking “he’s not married, so it’s ok.” It’s never ok to cheat but Kate doesn’t care as long as she gets her way.

Meanwhile US Weekly has more details on how Kate’s relationship with her dance instructor and partner, Tony Dovolani, is going. We’ve seen the footage of Dovolani walking out of rehearsal after Kate bitched and moaned at him that he wasn’t teaching her correctly. It probably doesn’t matter how nice or helpful the guy is, Kate is going to nitpick and browbeat him until she thinks he’s submissive enough. Kate is said to be mad at Dovolani for giving her “a false sense of how well she was doing.” If he told her she sucked, she would have been pissed off at that too!

Kate is also making Tony wait for her while she goes through her normal routine, like taking an hour and a half to get her nails done. US Weekly writes “[Kate] spent 90 minutes getting a mani-pedi on March 26. ‘Tony wants to practice all day, but Kate takes too many breaks and makes him sit around the house… Tony is losing patience with her attitude.’” I’m not a real Dancing fan, but from what I’ve seen of the show they picked the nicest, most accommodating instructor to work with Kate and she’s still giving him problems! The guy handled their spat with a lot of grace. The thing is, he’ll probably have to deal with her much longer. People are going are to vote for Kate, if only to stare at this trainwreck for as long as possible.
