Brad Pitt thinks he’s Sherlock Holmes, uncovering Angelina Jolie’s nefarious plot!

I have no idea when Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are supposed to go to trial on this Chateau Miraval case, but I hope it happens soon and I hope Brad Pitt finally gets his ass handed to him thoroughly. Even within pro-Pitt pieces which his crisis management team places in TMZ, People and Page Six, Brad comes across as completely stupid. Like, even if you’ve only been paying attention to the bare bones arguments around these lawsuits, you can’t escape the reality that Brad sued Angelina because he was and is mad that she made a completely legal sale of her half of Miraval. That’s it. That’s Brad’s big legal argument: Angelina can’t sell her half because it upsets me. Well, the latest from Team Pitt is that he wants to depose Yuri Shefler, who purchased Nouvel (Angelina’s half of Miraval).

Brad Pitt is pushing to grill a wealthy Russian businessman about his winery dealings with Angelina Jolie … TMZ has learned.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, Brad is asking a Los Angeles judge to force businessman Yuri Shefler to appear for a remote deposition as part of the ongoing war between the actor and his ex-wife.

Brad sued Angelina in 2022, claiming she sold her stake in the French winery Chateau Miraval without his permission. The former couple purchased the estate while married, but Angelina told Brad she wanted out years after the divorce.

Brad says he tried to buy out Angelina’s stake, but the talks fell apart … and Angelina decided to sell her stake to the liquor company Stoli — which is run by Yuri.

In his new filing, Brad says Yuri has refused to sit for a deposition but claims he’s “learned that the transaction was orchestrated by, and closed at the behest of” Yuri, insisting he is clearly someone Brad’s legal team should get to question as part of the litigation

Yuri has apparently opposed the request in part on the grounds he’s a resident of Switzerland … but Brad isn’t budging, arguing emails show Angelina and Yuri in direct contact over the winery purchase and demonstrate he has knowledge relevant to the case.

[From TMZ]

Again, Angelina has already submitted extensive documentation of her efforts to sell Nouvel to Pitt, documentation of Pitt’s attempt to attach a gag order to the sale so that Angelina couldn’t speak about his abuse, and documentation of her subsequent attempts to find a different buyer for Nouvel. When she sold Nouvel to Shefler/Tenute del Mondo, she got a better price than she would have gotten had she sold to Pitt. All of the arrangements with the sale went through legal channels, and she even had to go to court in 2022 to clear the sale, informing Pitt along the way. Now Pitt thinks he’s f–king Sherlock Holmes, uncovering a nefarious plot! Is Pitt really this f–king dumb? Why haven’t his lawyers stopped him or talked some sense into him?

The photos in this post are from last week, where Brad was filming The Riders in Greece. His (alleged) facelift…

The lawyers can only be in it for the money at this point, not the win. The whole thing is ridiculous, but it’s one of the few ways BP can try to keep people talking about how “awful” Angelina was to him.

Well, and as someone who is in the legal field. You can provide advice to a client but as long as you’re retained by them, you take instruction from them, (and it’s generally frowned upon to put your client in a headlock and force them to do something).

Short of dropping him as a client, if he wants to proceed, he can instruct his counsel to proceed and then they have to find a way to continue.

Yes to what you just said MMRB. Retired lawyer here and some of your worst clients are rich, famous, or have been worshipped in some way by their parents (moms especially), their workplaces, or their respective industries) because they don’t listen. They never hear no from anyone. They think they know everything and get upset when your advice isn’t what they want to hear. This is almost always to their own detriment.

Those clients will often spend exorbitant amounts in legal fees rather than just pay a person or let something go because their massive egos are involved. A colleague once had to do a spreadsheet for a client showing him what he had paid in legal fees and the cost estimation of continuing to fight the litigation for another year as opposed to settling the case (the client was in the clear wrong, a jury would have eaten him for dinner and a judge would have probably thrown in punitive damages).

It still took weeks for her client to finally settle, almost a year after the attorneys recommended settling.

It is very hard to reason with a client who is emotional, had their feelings hurt, or suffers from some form of narcissism.

He’s coming up with new theories and headlines because Angelina won her appeal that the documents he wanted are protected under attorney-client privilege. He doesn’t provide any argument/evidence that she wavied the privilege either. The judge gave a tentative ruling they were going to vacate the old order when the hearing happens. He loses in court and runs to try a new smear campaign.

As usual the media hasnt even reported on her appeal verdict 🙄

  3. Jais says:

The transaction was obviously orchestrated by Yuri!!! Um yeah, he was the buyer so no shit, Sherlock.

  4. Eva says:

Yuri fought Putin for years and didn’t budge. Mr. “I still look like I’m 20 and my girlfriend is young and smoking hot and I didn’t pay for this to be written about her” probably doesn’t know what he’s doing. Brad will be lucky if Shefler simply sells his shares.

  5. HillaryIsAlwaysRight says:

Lawyers need summer homes, too. And clients this stupid are hard to come by.

  6. Mac says:

Until I read the article about Brad dating Christina Applegate (and Juliette Lewis) when she was a teen, I didn’t realize how much he used the clout of women he was dating to build his career. Angelina was no exception. He’s bitter that she exposed the real Brad and not his carefully cultivated image.

    • Anon says:

He’s always been “inspired” by his partners when creating his image. That’s why he’s so bland now. Because his current girlfriend is also bland.

  7. Nicole says:

He looks a lot like Tom Cruise here. Does everyone get a facelift like McDonalds? They all get the #3?

  8. Grandma Susan says:

He’s being pretty stupid. In his attempt to “punish” AJ for escaping him he’s only making himself look really, really bad. All his hotness has leaked away over time and he should just stop with his revenge war. He’s not going to win it.

  9. Tracey says:

If feel for Angelina Jolie, she went through all the legal channels, got judge to given her legal permission of sale, there never was a legal binding contract between her and Pitt, which Pitt to this day still is unable to provide to court despite using abusive media outlets to gaslight Angelina Jolie with defamatory smear campaigns. Again as Kaiser said
she even had to go to court in 2022 to clear the sale, informing Pitt along the way and Pitt was low balling her with less money and had audacity to demand she and kids sign his NDAs not to ever talk about his domestic violence of Angelina and her children

  10. LOL says:

The post separation abuse is still continuing. I feel for Angelina and her children, what a nightmare their perpetrator is ,still haunting them. Still financially abusing them and smearing their good names with disgusting smear campaigns.

  11. Karma Is Real says:

“Longed for him. Got him. Shit.” Margaret Atwood

  12. Lili says:

And he wonders why the kids contuine not to speak to him. At this rate they never will. Why would they when he’s continously put hit pieces on the one parent that’s been there for them?
