The Backrooms trailer is creepy, and I can’t believe Chiwetel Ejiofor is the lead. I love him but I wish he was offered different roles? [Hollywood Life]

House of Leaves, anyone? This movie looks about as close to that book as possible without needing to give it the same name. Scariest book I’ve ever effin’ read!

Thank you for the tip! I’ve just added it to my TBR. That trailer looks amazing, but I’ll have to wait for it to come to streaming, so I have time to read House of Leaves first.

For posterity, I just wanted to comment here that this movie seems to be based on internet lore. The director is a young man who create a Backrooms universe based on a 4chan post. You can see his videos from a few years ago. It’s all incredibly well-done. I feel like I have to binge watch the videos before the movie.

Sadie Sink is gorgeous and talented and the true breakout star of ST. They are all great and super talented (I wish especially Caleb and Gaten much success) but it’s Sadie who’s career is red hot right now

    • mightymolly says:

Sadie Sink is for sure the breakout star, and now with her work on the West End, she’s building in her solid theater creds. I think we’re gonna see her for decades to come in increasingly challenging roles.

    Trump just fired Pam Bondi.

    • Nanea says:

The interim is Todd Blanche, who facilitated Ghislaine Maxwell’s transfer to Club Fed.

I’m sure the eventual replacement will be even less qualified.

      Alina Habba, anyone?

      • SgtPepper says:

I don’t think the replacement will be a woman at all. I would be surprised to see anymore women in positions of real power and not as mouthpieces.

Dubai chocolate is overrated. I’m sorry. It’s not bad, it’s just overhyped.

    • StellainNH says:

I have never tried the chocolate and have no urges to do so. TMI—but to me it looks like shots.

    • Korra says:

It just doesn’t work as a flavor combo — the chocolate (often dark) overrides the pistachio flavor. The most enjoyable part is the texture component from the toasted kataifi (which is shredded phylo dough), but you aren’t getting this complimentary or even uniquely contrasting experience. And considering how expensive pistachios are, most people are barely going to register the taste in commercial products. Overhyped is correct.

Felon racist rapist buffoon hates big buildings with books.
But Obama is building so he is having s big gold painted statue or two of himself made for his.

Every time I encounter Clavicular, all I can think is “men will really BREAK THEIR OWN JAWS WITH A HAMMER than go to therapy.”
