Duchess Meghan sent As Ever honey & jam to her ‘Suits’ friend Patrick Adams

Last week, Patrick J. Adams appeared on a podcast and he ended up chatting about his friend and former Suits costar Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. He claimed that they aren’t in contact much but what Meghan has gone through in the past decade has been “insane.” Incidentally, I saw a lot of people trying to twist Patrick’s comments into something anti-Meghan, like he was bad-mouthing her or being shady. He was not. I actually think he and many of Meghan’s Suits friends decided to never reveal how often they see her or how they’re all still quite friendly. Patrick is ride-or-die for Meghan and he absolutely still believes everything he wrote in her defense back in 2021.

Well, something else happened during that podcast: Patrick revealed that he had not received anything from Meghan’s As Ever brand. I thought that was weird, and people hilariously suggested that Patrick might not have seen the As Ever package, but his wife Troian Bellisario possibly has a secret jam-and-tea supply. Well, after that, Meghan commented on the Not Skinny But Not Fat Instagram, tagging Patrick: “Jams en route for you @patrickjadams & @sleepinthegardn.” The second account is Troian’s, who is apparently keeping up the fiction that they’ve never gotten anything from As Ever.

Soon after, Patrick happily posted a beauty shot of his As Ever haul: the two honeys, and one jar each of the marmalade, raspberry and strawberry. My one and only insult for As Ever is that the marmalade is not great. But I love the raspberry and strawberry and I hope Patrick enjoys those. I’m still waiting on an apricot comeback, because that sh-t was tight!! Patrick wrote: “Worth the wait! Thank you @meghan for the deliciousness and thank you @notskinnybutnotfat for helping raise awareness about my jamlessness.”

The orange marmalade is awesome! And I don’t even like orange marmalade in general, lol. I’m waiting for the return of my personal favorite, the apricot, as well.

I’m glad patrick got his as ever products. I hope there is still occasional friendly contact there.

I’m not a fan of marmalade either, but I liked the As Ever marmalade. I wonder if that’s the key, if you like other marmalades then this isn’t the one for you?
The strawberry is okay, but the raspberry spread was amazing. Too pricey for everyday, but great for a gift (especially as the packaging is nice & sturdy, so it ships well).
On topic, note people that work with Meghan always have her back. That’s telling.

@Gwendolyn — I think you’ve hit that nail on the head. I do not like marmalade, but I love this As Ever stuff! I especially love it on my GF croissants, which (while good) are not classic French croissants, so need a little help (extra butter, at a minimum). I gave my sister the fruit spread gift package at Christmas, so I’ve tried the strawberry, but not blown away. My all time favorite is the raspberry, but I think I’m tied between the apricot and marmalade.

“ . . . thank you @notskinnybutnotfat for helping raise awareness about my jamlessness.”

Being jamless is a sad state of affair. It’s like jam yesterday, jam tomorrow, but no jam today— or some such thing.

The way I keep hoping for the Apricot to come back and bring a Lemon Curd to keep it company has me in a chokehold.

I love the orange marmalade, too. It is the first Orange marmalade that I’ve ever liked, no bitterness. I am pining for more Shortbread Cookie mix, but have about given up on that. I would also like more Apricot spread.

Meghan’s Suits co-stars & friends are super protective of her.

iirc, when the Suits cast presented at the Emmys a few years ago. they were, of course, asked about Meghan and their contacts with her. Gina Torres took the lead, [as befits Jessica Pearson], and calmly shut that nonsense down, “We don’t have her number.” The interviewer was left speechless. LOL

And yeah, I too, hew to the belief that of course, Meghan sent gift baskets to her dear friends. And of course, she wouldn’t expose them to the gutter rats by talking about it.

I totally believe that in the first round of basket gifts she directed one to Troian exactly so if Patrick were ever asked about their connection he could be like “Meghan? Lovely, but we don’t speak much.” Her former co-stars shouldn’t have to answer questions about her when they have their own careers to work on. However, in that moment, it was the perfect time to make sure Patrick has some marmalade for his toast.

I’ve said before that my parents love the strawberry. It’s a go-to. My fave is the raspberry. Love the apricot. My dream is blackberry.

Raspberry is so good. I ordered that and got the wild honey, honey with honey comb and the flower sprinkles. I had the orange and agree with Kaiser, it was not good. Way too runny and flavorless which was weird.
