Bee Shaffer & Francesco Carrozzini have split after eight years of marriage

These photos are from two weeks ago, at this year’s Met Gala. Bee Shaffer attended the Met Gala with her husband, Francesco Carrozzini, and her mother, Anna Wintour. Bee isn’t really a celebrity, but she’s well-known because she’s Nuclear Wintour’s only daughter (Anna also has a son who is rarely seen). Bee has become more “public” over the years, especially when she married Francesco, who is the son of the late and influential Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani. Bee and Francesco have a four-year-old son, and they split their time between New York and Italy. Well, this “fashion union” is over. Bee and Francesco are divorcing. Did they just stay together through the Met Gala??

Bee Shaffer and her husband, Francesco Carrozzini, have split after nearly eight years of marriage, Page Six can reveal. The daughter of Vogue doyenne Anna Wintour tied the knot with the son of Franca Sozzani, the late editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia, in July 2018, making the marriage a true fashion union.

The couple, who share a four-year-old son, told Page Six that they remain “best of friends.”

“After ten wonderful years together, we have decided to separate,” they said in a statement. “Although our career paths led us in different directions, we remain the very best of friends and devoted, committed parents to our son. This is the only statement we will make, and we respectfully ask for privacy.”

Although there had been rumblings about their marriage over the past few months as they were rarely seen together, Bee and Francesco posed together at the Met Gala just last week, where she still wore her wedding band. A few weeks beforehand, Bee had joined her mother and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Cordry Shaffer, at the NYC premiere of “The Devil Wears Prada ” at Lincoln Center.

Bee, 38, is a producer for ATG Entertainment in New York and is known for her work on Broadway productions including the 2022 revival of “Plaza Suite”, the 2023-2024 production of “Appropriate” and the hit musical “Parade.” She and Francesco, 43, divided their time between NYC and Italy, where he works as a filmmaker and director.

[From Page Six]

“Although our career paths led us in different directions…” Ah. They’re blaming their careers. My guess is that “splitting their time between NYC and Italy” probably became a major pain in the ass, especially as their son has reached school-age. They needed to make some hard decisions about where to spend most of the school year and couldn’t decide? Or something else entirely? I don’t know. I wonder how Anna feels about this. I mean, she has a pair of ex-husbands too, so I imagine she’ll be supportive of her daughter.

That’s too bad! I’m actually quite sad for them. I hope they can make it work logistically as co-parents. It’s about equilibrium and mutual respect, they both seem like nice people, FWIW. Anna Wintour’s son is a psychiatric counsellor at Cornell, he works with bereaved families. She isn’t nuclear, she’s brusque, but she really is anchored by a moral compass, she raised compassionate and savvy children.

not positive about anna’s moral compass. She hired photographer Terry Richards of predator reputation for years.
And she didn’t ever have a Black photographer take the Vogue cover until Beyonce insisted

Not to be dramatic, but this is heartbreaking. Seems like so few ppl stay together these days. As I recall, they got married just after his much-respected mother passed away. So sad!
