I love that Zendaya is already back out there promoting Spidey after a grueling promotional tour for Odyssey. She is the IT Queen this summer. I’m sure she’s planning a long break after this, but she’s a true professional. I bet she’s great to work with.

Okay, I don’t get why Megan Fox is posting lingerie pics. Is she making big checks for this or promoting something? If it’s just to remind us she exists, gurl it’s time to stop with the edgy sex doll vibe. Staying relevant past 40 requires more than that.

    • Snuffles says:

She will probably get the rest of the summer off, but will have to get back to promoting the fuck out of Dune this fall.

The halftime show was a mess.

  3. Roan Inish says:

Loved the Buzz Feed re: exactly who was nominated for an Emmy and who didn’t!!

  4. Laalaa says:

No, it is not a solid idea. #worldcup
Football has halftimes. “Hydration breaks”, aka Commercial breaks were frustrating enough, because we got quarters.
And then almost 28 minutes break between 45 minutes games in the final?
    That’s not football, that’s Capitalism.
The only one I was happy to see was Gustavo Dudamel, who is not mentioned by anyone because doh.
“Why did you watch it then?”
Because nobody knew when the actual football would start so we drank and b*tched about the world.
And for the life of me, I don’t understand why Melania didn’t come to greet to referee. They are both Slovenian after all.

    • Ljndawson says:

Agreed about Dudamel – I was so happily surprised to see him there! I have a subscription to the NY Philharmonic and it has been an entirely different orchestra since he arrived as musical director! Love the times when he conducts.

    • Eurydice says:

I agree. Hated that there was a halftine show – also hated the halftime show.

It pains me to see so little of Samantha Morton in the promotion and the promotional materials for The Odyssey. For me, hers was the standout performance in that film. It’s criminal that her name isn’t on this poster.

    • mightymolly says:

I’m sorry too, but she doesn’t have any where near the star power of her costars. I was absolutely obsessed with Harlots, so I’m a huge fan, but this will put her on the map in a way she hasn’t been before. Her name will be on the poster of her next blockbuster film.

    • phlyfiremama says:

Ooh, I absolutely loved her role in The Serpent Queen!

  6. Nicki says:

That “William was not nominated for an Emmy” story in Buzzfeed is SO good!

  7. lisa says:

I thought odyssey was fine but not worth the hype. but I loved and will remember Samantha Morton.

  8. Beverley says:

The movie was long, but I hardly noticed. Lupita was radiant! The action was good. Loved the seafaring scenes.

  9. Sasha says:

Samantha Morton absolutely killed it. I liked the movie a lot, but I kind of wish they had gone with someone a bit younger than Matt Damon, not that he isn’t talented but I feel like it would have been a good opportunity for someone younger and very talented.
