Shocking no one, the alleged catfight between Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson has entered into the tabloid world. Of course. Because for a year we’ve been hearing from legit entertainment sources that no one involved in the production of Iron Man 2 wanted to alert the general public that Gwyneth was in any way involved in the film. Add to that, Gwyneth’s seemingly passive-aggressive attempts to fashion c-ockblock Scarlett Johansson in their two big cast appearances, and it really does seem like there’s some sort of catfight going on between the two women. Now the Enquirer is reporting that ScarJo and Goopy couldn’t even sit through one meeting together with being bitches:
Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow are locked in a bitter feud – over who is the film’s bigger star! And the claws were out at a recent meeting, where each woman took a swipe at the other, a source told the Enquirer.
The catfight starts when outspoken Scarlett announced that she deserves more press attention because she is “younger and hotter.” Scar is 25, Gwyn is 37.
“Gwyneth was outraged, but she kept her composure,” said the source. “She believes Scarlett was out of line.”
Gwyneth told Scarlett that when she wins an Oscar, then she can talk.
“Scarlett didn’t know what to say,” said the source. “She was upset.”
A rep for Scarlett denies that there is bad blood between her and Gwyneth. But the source insists that the rivalry is “driving everyone insane who is working on promotion of the movie.”
Robert Downey Jr. has not taken sides in the spat, said the source.

I can’t really see ScarJo saying the line, “I’m younger and hotter” so that makes me think that this is false. However, I could see Goopy saying a line like “When you win an Oscar, then we’ll talk.” Can’t you just hear her snotty nasal voice saying that? I actually had to look it up though – ScarJo has never been nominated for an Oscar, shock. I thought she was nominated for Lost in Translation, or maybe Match Point, but no. Nothing. So… one point for Goopy? Ugh.
ScarJo has alluring eyes. Gwyn has the perfect legs. They are both beautiful on their own respective ways

I don’t buy that this exchange happened. I totally buy that they compete for attention, and I’ll totally buy that they get little passive agressive digs in at each other, but I think both are too concerned with appearances to be so blatantly petty in front of a room full of people.
Oh please, this never happened. They might think it or even say it to a girlfriend but they wouldn’t say it to each other and certainly not in a professional setting.
If there was really a feud, wouldn’t Gwyneth already have made some veiled passive aggresive marks on that stupid blog of hers? She’s always bitching about friends who let her down, etc.
I do believe there is animosity between the two, and I also tend to think it’s probably coming from Paltrow’s side because of her past disses of other women.
I don´t believe it happened, but (and don´t kill me) I prefer a thousand Gwyneths than one ScarJo.

This supposed feud is getting really old. Why do you assume that Gwyneth stole ScarJo’s fashion limelight during the premieres and not the other way around? Why is there such consternation about Gwyneth’s role in the movie? She is Iron Man’s love interest; even if her role is smaller, it’s still a significant character to the story. RDJ said he personally recruited her for the original story; of course she poses with him in the pictures. If this specific encounter actually happened (which I don’t believe at all), then ScarJo was the one who was way out of line, and Gwyneth gave the perfect response to it. I guess I don’t understand all the Gwyneth hate on this site.
Yeah, this is just a strategy story to draw more attention to the movie. It’s an old Hollywood move from back in the day. If it were true, which I doubt – ScarJo beats droopy goopy’s ass out the door and down the street hands down. She is way better looking, more talented and actually has a more charming personality – what does the princess of priss have? Entitlement, ego and saggy tits – ugh!

The words you need to concentrate on in this story are “the Enquirer is reporting…”. And then you don’t need to read any further.

I am obviously in the minority here(by a long shot it seems), but I do not find Scarlett attractive at all. At all.
Yes, she can look sexy and cleans up well (with a make-up artist, a stylist and a hairdresser)…but she does nothing for me otherwise.

I find it funny that they supposedly fight over who is the film’s bigger star. RDJ is the star, followed by the special effects, probably then followed by Mickey Rourke as the big villain. Seems like S & G would be squabbling over 4th & 5th place.
Again, all of these no name sources for this more than likely non-existent fued. Now I’m all for a good celebrity fued, but they should have something more solid. The mags couldn’t even drudge up a catty red carpet comment from either actress and take it out of context to support this. Lol.

To be honest I don’t find ScarJo attractive and I also think that Gwyneth is a mediocre actress. Having said that, I don’t get this hatred for Gwyneth on this site. Maybe she comes off as a bit pompous but in a harmless way.

It probably never happened but… Younger is undeniable, hotter is a matter of opinion. The “Oscar” can’t really be pulled out as Spring mentioned and also because if an Oscar was really the gold standard, Gwyneth wouldn’t have one, Meryl would have more than two, Hillary Swank would have to give one back, Julianne Moore would have at least one, Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington would have the same number but for different films than which they won for. The list goes on….
ScarJo is one I see pictures of or watch in a movie, and I think “I don’t get it.” It’s all subjective, of course. What appeals to some doesn’t to others for any number of reasons.

I have never ever thought Gwyneth was attractive. She has always came off as a mean nasty piece of work to me.
The Oscar means nothing. It was a fluke. Has she had a hit in the last decade? Uh, no. The only semi money maker she was in was, The Royal Tenenbaums. And she was a not the star of that one either. Just like Iron Man. She is a bit player. Not responsible for its appeal or box office success.
Unfortunately, Gwyneth is over rated. But she has not gotten the memo, obviously. haha!
Talent. TALENT baby should be your metric for getting press attention. Not “I am younger and hotter”. Promoting yourself that way only gives you a shelf-life and in Holly-youth, it isn’t long.

Well, if something that happened an year ago is “recent”. She has been probably gaining weight back since the filming of the movie was finished last summer, which is good because she finally starts to look like how she used to look like before Iron Man 2 and the workout came into to the picture.

Rupert Evertt talked about a party he attended for Donatella Versace where both Gwyn and Madonna mean-girled and laughed at many of the guests, including J. Lo.
