Jennifer Lopez on love: ‘I want a bit of chaos, but I also want safety & order’

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez covers the March issue of Glamour to promote the new season of American Idol. I get the impression that JLo is thrilled to be back and earning many millions for a pretty cush job. Hopefully the Idol people learned their lesson last season (after trying and failing to fabricate drama between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj), and this season will focus on the music (LOL, I know). I don’t see any diva fights breaking out between easygoing Keith Urban and JLo or Harry Connick Jr. and JLo. Between Keith and Harry? Maybe … but that would only be because Keith has somehow managed to eclipse Harry in the hair department for the first time. Seriously. I’ve included some photos of the Idol photocall in the gallery, and Harry’s hair is looking rough.

Anyway, Jennifer has spoken with Glamour in what is so far a pretty vacant interview. No offense to JLo because Glamour’s interviews never go too deep. Here are a few excerpts about dieting and love:

Her “incredible discipline” with food “I’m not one to over-indulge. It doesn’t make me feel good. Some find it comforting to sit down and eat a whole pint of Häagen-Dazs, but that would make me throw up.”

On her messy love life: “I want a bit of chaos, but I also want safety and order. It’s taken me a long time, but if something doesn’t feel right, I won’t go along with it any more.”

I think JLo has finally wised up in the romance department. She’s finally admitted she can’t stand to be alone, but she hasn’t made the drastic mistake of marrying Casper. For most of her life, she couldn’t date anyone without getting engaged or married. JLo is finally working it out. She has a new single out today called “Same Girl,” which is probably a new version of “Jenny From the Block.” JLo can try and convince us she’s still the same person, but we know better.

Whose body did they attach to JLO’s face on that cover? Because it certainly ain’t hers.

Harry Connick Jr. is fantastic on AI…I have been an AI fan from the beginning, but could not watch last year…those judges were horrible….I tuned in this year, just for the heck of it, and I’m hooked again…these three judges seem to get along and have chemistry! You can say what you want about JLO, but there is no denying that she looks fabulous and takes very good care of herself…

+1. Harry is great! He’s funny and I love that he is not impressed with runs, (why can’t people just sing anymore?) or the girls who come on there thinking their cutesy ways will get them that golden ticket to Hollywood. He’s looking for true talent and substance. Love that. They do all seem to work well and it’s nice not to have the BS drama between Mariah and Nicki. JLo looks amazing, whatever she’s doing it’s working.

I don’t understand the pose in the second picture. What the hell is that supposed to be?

  5. Maureen says:

    “I, I, I, I.” — everything Jennifer Lopez ever said.

  6. Naddie says:

And I used to like her songs… At least I was in my teenage years, I forgive myself.

    Dear JLo
No one cares as proven by the lack of responses to this post.

JLo doesn’t really do it for me (musically or otherwise), but I have to say, she doesn’t seem to be aging, and she doesn’t have a facemelt. Whatever she’s doing is working. Really well.
