Oh, please. her skin hasn’t been lightened. She’s biracial and can look different in different lighting anyway, or whether she’s been out in the sun. And who cares if she did her nose. Her high school prom picture as prom queen shows she was gorgeous.
Halle in 2004. She looks amazing and her skin is darker here and it could be lighter in another photo depending on lighting or probably even time of the year for her, like summer or winter.

Most women in Hollywood, and many men, have had a nose job. You can basically assume that any given female actor has had one. It’s simply too common for the press to make a fuss over it. Boob jobs are also common. Little is made of them unless they are dramatic. I don’t think Halle has had any work besides a minor nose job and boob job that also was a relatively minor enhancement(maybe C or D to DD?). That’s basically Hollywood natural.
The press only tends to comment on striking work. Like how Nicole Kidman has bleached her skin of her freckles, or Megan Fox’s entire face. That sort of thing.
Sorry but I don”t get the hype with her. I always saw her as pretty and cute, but I never got the big hype behind her. I just never saw what the big deal was with her.

If that CDAN exclusive is right (and not some New Year’s prank) and NBC does manage to stage a live telecast of Wicked with the original cast, Menzel & Chenowith, it will be amazing. Ratings might even rival the Superbowl. I’m not kidding.

The more I think about it, I am with you. Seems like a false rumor/prank. I was just so excited for my musical-theater-loving daughter who was too young to see Wicked with the original cast (although we have seen Menzel in If Then).
But yeah, even with corporate synergy why would Universal allow it to be staged on TV when it is still the highest grossing musical on Broadway/touring? And could NBC afford to bring everyone back and still make it profitable? I would be surprised.
Sigh. It would be great though.

@kiddo Ha! When I posted these comments I fully expected a few “WTFs?” from some of my favorite friends here on CB.
I blame both nature/nurture. Nurture – I was raised in a home with a music-loving dad, which ranged from Mozart to yes, every musical under the sun (his mother was the same). Nature – While my husband and I exposed our kids to very different music, my eldest daughter has been a theater-geek from the start. So motherly-love means I take her to every musical possible (wait stage door no less) and yes, get excited at the prospect of a Menzel & Chenoweth re-pairing. It cannot be helped.
So @kiddo, if you love me, you have to love all the things about me.

I just read about that. It says she wants her passport and birth certificate back from him. It all sounds very strange.

So just looked, and there are several things not making much sense: Canadians don’t have social security cards. That could be a reporting mistake though; I’m going to bet there is a Canadian version of them. Why does he have her birth certificate? Or her passport? Even if they are in a bank box, as his wife she can retrieve them can’t she? They’re hers anyway. The way it’s described makes it out like she’s the princess of Monaco. The voiding of the prenup is interesting. That has golddigger writen all over it, but everything about her did. the international aspect of it is going to make custody difficult. Yup this could be interesting, Goldigging mission accomplished. Also the possibility she wants more than her contract stated, hence the filing and the fraud accusation.
If it’s in the safe deposit box that only he owns then she won’t have access to it despite being married or it being her property.
The fraud claim always irritates me I think there are very few people out there they get married under those circumstances sounds more like she got pregnant and married quickly and is now regretting and going after the money
Good to know about the box. Never used one, so I have no idea. And yeah, the baby sounded intentional on her part and now she just wants money and out. I feel kinda bad for Renner. Always liked him as an actor, and he seems fun in interviews. He was also seen moving furniture earilier in December.
Actually, as a Canadian who has worked and lived in the US, you do get a SS card. In Canada we don’t have that, we get a citizenship card if we are naturalized otherwise we all have a Social Insurance Number (SIN) which is strictly used for gov/tax stuff. I keep both safe, never carry them around.
As for safety boxes, it would be weird for a married couple not to have acces to the box equally. Yes the box is in my spouse’s name because he gets a discount on it. The bank gives you two keys, and you put your partner’s name down in the document stating that they gave access. Nothing complicated about it. Storing a partner’s papers in a box said partner does not get access to…. That is really weird!
Why in the world would anyone be surprised by this news? Jeremy Renner has always PINGED to me … even without Ted Casablanca’s unintentional ‘slip.’
Even so, I doubt she was in the dark and this looks like a money grab. Yelling fraud may or may not mean anything; it’s just easy legalese to get what you want; she could just be upset that he misrepresented his bank account.

Halle is very proud of her ethnicity. I highly doubt she would lighten her skin. She may be spending less time in the sun. it’s just amazing how one person can have so much perfection. This doesn’t happen very often, the face, the incredible body. Her shoulders are magnificent. Even as she ages, she still looks fantastic and much younger than her biological age.

So random, but Jeremy Renner’s wife just filed for divorce after 10 months citing irreconcilable differences and the word fraud is being floated around.
This stood out in my mind because there is a blind on CDAN that suggests the wife was a beard.

I went with my husband, When we were in Paris on our Honeymoon, when it first opened, It was a last minute decision one day when we were out having lunch, it was soooooooo expensive, wow. I couldn’t wait to go back to touring the Lourve instead.

Imo, Teresa Giudice seems like the person who will keep making really bad decisions when left to her own devices or when with someone as deceitful, greedy, and self-centered as herself. I think the structure of a prison life might give her some benefit towards some sort of behavior modification, like self-control and self-restraint.
I think that the Judge thought she was doing Teresa a favor by postponing imprisonment for three months, but in reality, that gave Teresa time to go fever-pitch into being more like her crazy self.
