Blake Lively spent her 30th birthday surrounded by cakes, tartes & baked goods

Happy Birthday to my amazing wife.

A post shared by Ryan Reynolds (@vancityreynolds) on

The more I actively ignore Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, the more I like them. Do you know what I’m saying? They’re perfectly fine, even charming and cool, in small doses. I general don’t read all of those stupid articles about “The 22 Times Ryan and Blake Were Perfect” or “The 100 Times Blyan Were #CoupleGoals.” I don’t know what possessed me over the weekend, but I did end up clicking on one of those “Ryan hilariously trolls his wife on social media” stories and… yeah, I’ll admit it, I laughed. Ryan posted the above Instagram as the perfect way to celebrate Blake’s 30th birthday. I love it. It’s perfect.

Anyway, I did want to discuss Blake’s 30th birthday party. She had dinner with her girlfriends, including Lorraine Schwartz and Anna Kendrick. The birthday dinner ended up with TWO desserts: a chocolate drip cake and a small chocolate tart. THANK YOU. Thank you, Blake Lively, for not ordering a birthday FRUIT PLATE. Thank you for not celebrating your birthday by merely looking at a cake, a la Posh Beckham.

My super sweet 16. …but like 14 years late.

And look at all of the food swag she got for her birthday too:

I find them exhausting and try hard, sorry. To each their own!

I find everyone on social media exhausting and try hard. Why else would you share your life with strangers if not for attention or money?

      • Lee says:

        @Pawra
Very true. I have a soft spot for those celebs who manage to stay away from socials and base their career and reputation on their actual talent, even though I know they are very few.

OR Perhaps ppl want to share updates and moments with friends and family who they don’t usually see due to time or distance? Geez judge Judy… to each their own but to blanket statement that everyone on social media is thirsty is a bit much don’t ya think? CAN WE LIVE PAWRA!!! 😉

  2. i don't know her says:

    I LOVE Sprinkles cupcakes!
    ugh! i’m hungry.

    She’s only 30?? Damn i feel old.

I used to really detest her, but she’s growing on me. Ryan has such an excellent sense of humour and it’s rubbing off on her. She’s pretty great at the Susie Homemaker thing and I can’t hate her for it.

I will reserve my hate for her amazing body and how jealous I am.

I feel like she has always been 30. Or I always thought she was 30 this whole time.

She looks so much younger when she dresses down. Also, that cake looks good!

    Pro-cake.

And I find them funny – at the very least when they are together. I don’t agree with many of the things Blake has said over the years… but I do find her to be likable at times. Ryan has grown on me to the point where I just find him amazing.

This post all about cake is a good distraction.

I really like Blake and Ryan, they are celebs who use social media yes probably to make more money – they arent exactly A-list – and so does everyone else. And their posts are not nearly as eye-roll-inducing as so many of other celebs ones… and I like Blake’s acting. I’ll watch her movies before I watch Kirsten Stewart’s or some other nepotism “revelation” aka other overrated actresses.
I think not every actor needs to be Meryl Streep levels of greatness, you know?
I’ve always liked Ryan and his movies as well.
And they are funny. Yes she said some dumb things but hey i say dumb stuff sometimes – except im not a celeb and not scrutinized to oblivion. I think (hope) she learned her lesson.

Anywaaaaay I wish her a happy Birthday and hope she enjoys the 30th because it flies by 😂😂 (im 31 and a half already 😵).

I recently re-watched the whole of Gossip Girl (only half sorry), and it is as ridiculous as it ever was but she is very watchable. Personally I think her acting is fine, for sure not one of the best but good all the same. Everyone says dumb stuff, some of the sh$t so called ‘normal’ people come out with, seriously. At least some people try to learn and grow and while some people don’t take responsibility for their actions and remain as petty teenagers (coughTScough).

Her and Ryan are great together, they definitely suit each other down to a tee. More of them please!

I actually find Ryan really funny, he has an excellent sense of humour. I just can’t believe he used to be with Scarlett Johansson. I can’t imagine his sense of humour and her personality meshing? Him and Blake make a lovely couple.
