Y’all know I love talking about jewelry, hair, manicures and fashion, but even I have my limits! Looks like I just reached my limit with this Instagram from Khloe Kardashian. Khloe is trying to draw attention to her dumbass relationship drama with Tristan Thompson. First of all, Tristan and Khloe have been back together for a while. She can play her stupid games but she took him back after he cheated on her with many women, and I assume he’s still cheating on her all the time. Khloe wants us to think that they’re engaged, which is why she keeps posting photos of this diamond ring.
Okay, so the diamond is really ugly. Out of all of the diamond shapes, you’re going to pick some fat-bottomed pear shape? Gross. While the diamond is big, it looks cheap. The setting looks cheap, the cut looks cheap, the clarity looks cheap. Adding to the tackiness is Khloe’s horrendous manicure. She’s got a thing for those pointy “claw” nails and the multi-color tips are just unattractive. I know I sound sour on this whole thing and it’s because I AM. This IG made me grumpy! All of that money and she buys herself a big, ugly ring and a tacky mani. Ugh.
So are Khloe and Tristan engaged? I don’t know. He commented on this IG (heart emojis), so it’s clear that he wants to play this game too (why??). But they’re not confirming anything. Probably because the second they confirm something, all of his side-chicks will start talking AND the people on Twitter will start yelling at Khloe for being a dumbass again. Between a rock and a hard place: wanting to be famewhores but afraid of all the sh-t that will come out if they confirm the engagement.
Why is she getting plastic surgery to look more like Kim??? I honestly thought several of these shots were Kim, not Khloe.

I came to say the same thing. When my daughter was about 6 and we went to the big shopping centre near us, there was a bank of bubblegum machines at the entrance. Well, not all bubblegum. There were several full of big, brightly-coloured, shiny trinkets. She’d use her spending money to get either gum or a trinket. The one she really wanted always eluded her: the huge, gaudy, “diamond” ring which would have looked ridiculous on her tiny fingers. It looked very much like the ring above. It’s ostentatious and chav. Engagement ring or not, it’s ugly and looks fake. Then again, what isn’t fake about this woman?

I dont give a rat’s asshole about anything Kardashian, but wtf is Khloe doing to herself? Why does she look so weird?
More importantly, why do I even know what she looks like and how did I even manage to form an opinion about her? I’m worried- I need a physical or something.
I’ve been staring at that stone and trying to figure out why it looks wrong. I doubt it’s a CZ because the sparkle doesn’t have that look. Maybe a moissonite and the birefraction (everything looks doubled when you loupe it) is what’s causing the issue. The facets just look wrong for a brilliant-style cut. It’s also possible that she photoshopped it a bit to make it look bigger which is why everything is thrown off.
Either way, I hate it. I don’t mind a pear, even a squatty one but it has to be set right ( see Mia Farrow’s from Frank Sinatra.)
One the upside True is just beautiful! I hope she grows up embracing her beauty and not suffering from her mother’s body dysmorphia.

Pretty much anytime you’re going to go for a gargantuan diamond, it’s going to look like junk jewelry. Very few stones look “good” that big.

The first time I saw the ring, I honestly thought it was some crinkled aluminum foil with one of those plastic gems kids use for elementary school crafts glued to it.

Those are acrylics that can be taken off and done again as needed, even daily. She couldn’t even hold a cup of coffee with those nails, let alone take care of personal hygiene (though I’d guess she has a bidet just for this reason lol).

Boyfriend told me once he went out for a tinderdate, the girl seemed fine online, good chemistry, BUT when he met her IRL she had scaring nails (like Khloe) and he freaked out and dumped her immediately, out of fear of having those kind of nalis anywhere on his body. LOL

I don’t think pear shaped rings are ugly but it’s the clunkiness of hers. The centre diamond is to thick and the two thick diamonds on the side make it look super cheap and ugly.
Also I love having long acrylic nails but there’s a certain length where you can’t function properly and she’s way past that, if I can’t change my toddlers diaper then they are too long, that’s my motto.

I really hate the whole “bigger is better” thing with engagement rings. It’s a ring you are supposed to wear daily. Only someone with those nails would want a ring like that. It’s 100% about showing off. Khloe used to be the only Kardashian I liked. She was smart, funny, and less shallow. She got a ton of attention for losing weight and she’s been all about keeping that attention ever since. It’s sad that losing the weight fed her insecurities and that’s all she really is now.

Are those nails removable every night, or does she sleep in those loaded weapons? I would poke my own eye out in a second (and probably concuss myself with that rock) and I feel very uncomfortable looking at pics of those sharp objects with the children. Imma be the odd one out here. I think the ring is beautiful and love the nails. I get nail envy because I can’t get them. I work with my hands so much due to typing, refurbishing furniture, and creating art work. I can appreciate many of the bold, unique nail styles.
I joke that my appreciation for gaudy things come my maternal grandma (she passed in 1999). She loved animal print, costume jewelry, high-heeled boots, and long fingernails with bold colors.
The nails are super trendy right now. Those colours w the modified French tip and length. My hair stylist had some very similar on but the length was a tad reduced.
The colours all remind me of bad 90s fashion, my totally hair Barbie, and that puffy t shirt paint in glow in the dark colours. So not personally for me because they bring back teenage flashbacks but I don’t mind them on other ppl.

I wonder if Kris Jenner finds it regretful, and psychologically alarming, that her daughters no longer look like they did as they grew up into teenagers; that they no longer look like her or her parents or members of her wider family. She will literally have baby and toddler and child photos of them which bear slim resemblance to them as adults – it will be as if they grew to a certain point and then left the family to become cloned strangers. They are now a group of mannequins that could have been manufactured anywhere. Imagine Kris showing the family photo albums around and having to look really hard to work out who was who. You couldn’t play guess the baby; it’d be impossible. You couldn’t say “you’ve got the family nose” or “your grandma’s chin was just like yours” or even “you always had freckles”. All you could say is, “remember when you looked like that, looked like me, looked like your sisters.” And what does that say about you as a mother? Your daughters wanted to look nothing like you and chose instead to morph into blow-up dolls. I’d feel such a failure.
Her body dysmorphia is very alarming and sad, especially since she has a young daughter who will, without a doubt in my mind, follow in her mother’s footsteps.

I remember visiting the museum and hearing about the various ways that women were displayed as wealth, through mutations. Foot binding is the example that comes to mind here. Khloe’s is temporary but the idea is the same. The nails elongate the fingers, making the hand seem more feminine, yes. But the important piece is that they make any physical labour impossible. It’s a display of wealth. They don’t care that it’s ugly. The important thing is that it’s ostentatious so we know that they’re not peasants.

My question is that out with Khloe when she visits? With friends and family or like out, out? He is entitled to a private life and I personally don’t care to hear too much about him or the Kardashians but considering his history it could be anything and he is being extra showy with her. I just don’t understand what they can’t be a little more private?
