Duchess Kate is ‘the antithesis of Meghan,’ doesn’t expect ‘any immediate reward’

Britain's Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex leave af

You would think that, for Keen Anniversary Week, we would be given tons of stories about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s successful partnership, their shared dreams and goals, their shared work, their family, their accomplishments. You would think that they would want the spotlight solely on them, and to have nary a mention of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Instead, every single Keen Anniversary piece has started with the comparison. Now, of course royal commentators are setting it up to embiggen Kate and William at the Sussexes’ expense. But again, how are Will & Kate being defined – and how are they defining themselves – after ten years of marriage? It’s never “Will & Kate are great, here’s everything they’ve accomplished.” Because they have little to no accomplishments and all is not well in House Keen. So the way they’re being defined is “Well at least Will & Kate are better than the Sussexes!” They can’t even be the headliners on their own anniversary. Speaking of!

Meghan Markle is “the antithesis” of Kate Middleton who, according to commentator Sarah Vine, is “in it for the long game”. Meghan and Kate’s behaviour as members of the Royal Family has been compared by Ms Vine. According to the commentator, the Duchess of Cambridge is “all about show and not tell”.

Appearing on Mail+’s Palace Confidential, Ms Vine said: “She is the antithesis of Meghan. There are echoes of Philip in Kate. She is in it for the long game, she does not expect any immediate reward.”

Speaking about the work behind the scenes done by Kate over the past 10 years, since she officially joined the Royal Family, Ms Vine continued: “She has very slowly but surely built up her reputation – not just with the family, I think, but also with the public. And she is all about the duty and all about the family and trying to do what’s best for everybody.”

“I think it contrasts so starkly with this sort of ‘me me me’ thing that Harry and Meghan have got going on, where everything is about their emotions, all of the time. I don’t know what Kate’s emotions are, I don’t need to know what Kate’s emotions are. She is very good – she sort of shows just enough to show that she is human and a normal person, relatively speaking, but then she maintains this… I think she is quite good at managing that dynamic between being a public persona and being a real person, a mother with three kids who likes to take photographs. She is all about show and not tell. She has really put in the work and I think that is starting to really pay off now.”

During the show, Ms Vine had previously criticised Meghan for the amount of information published in the press about the wreath the Duchess of Sussex sent to the funeral of Prince Philip.

[From The Daily Express]

“She does not expect any immediate reward…” They literally have to bribe her with bespoke coat dresses, gold buttons, blowout appointments, Botox, jewelry, a palace, a country home, a renovated tennis court, a full office staff, two full household staffs, plentiful vacations and a private helicopter to get her off her lazy ass. And I like the implication that Kate really does have expectation of a reward, just not “immediately.” The reward is the queendom, surely. When she’s Queen Consort, she’ll be as lazy as she wants, I guess. “She is all about show and not tell.” Except she literally does busy work and pie charts and vague embiggening projects and she hypes everything to a crazy degree and there’s nothing there. She’s ALL “tell.” I could keep doing this for every sentence. But I won’t.

They’re running out of ways to call Mumbles McButtons lazy.

    • Levans says:

And all the “slowly but surely”. She’s been on the job for 10 years and waiting for the job 10 years prior to that!

    • MyJobIsToPrincess says:

Wait, she doesnt expect immediate reward: she is not stupid – she has her eyes set on the Crown! the ultimate reward. Meanwhile, she will lazy princess her way and will absolutely bully any other princess who would daaaaaare make her look even more lazy or would be too cute, too smart and work too hard that she would need to work harder herself.

  2. Harper says:

My favorite example of how Kate showed us her emotions was how fast she recoiled when Willnot touched her shoulder on the Mary Berry special. A perfect example of showing just enough to let us know she is “human and a normal person” as Ms. Vine opines.

    • L84Tea says:

I will never get over the gold medal mental gymnastics that people did to justify that–clearly repulsed–shrug!

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

Some people want to act as if we didn’t see the shrug which was the most natural non scripted way we’ve ever seen Kate call me Catherine act with her husband.

  3. Myra says:

This feud famously started because we were told of her emotions. Her team spread the lie that Meghan made her cry. Ever since the interview, we haven’t stopped hearing about her emotions. How she feels exhausted, sad and hurt because Meghan telling the truth is somehow offensive to her. She is praised to the high heavens for the most mundane thing so it’s a lie to say that she doesn’t expect immediate reward. She is rewarded and praised for just existing. For Meghan, it’s the exact opposite.

  4. Cecilia says:

When has meghan ever expressed that she wants a reward for the work she put out? Which by the way was more and more impactful than keen ever has done.

    • MsIam says:

Meghan wasn’t willing to be used as a scapegoat/punching bag for the press for the rest of her life. Therefore, Meghan is “selfish” and not a “team player”. I guess in these parts being treated decently is considered a ” reward” rather than a right.

      • swirlmamad says:

Yup. because as a woman of color she was supposed to shut up, sit down, be the pack mule and carry all the weight and labor, and let the good FFK and Q reap all the benefits. Sounds qwhite about right.

    • equality says:

She wanted credit for her own work and not to give the credit to Kate. I really think that is what all the crying is about: that previously Harry just let them take credit for things that he came up with.

      • CoffeeNYC says:

Yes. I 💯 agreed with this!! They wanted to put kate as Meghan mentor and have her to give every credit to Kate so she can look good. Of course Meghan shouldn’t have put up with that either!

  5. Over it says:

That picture with Karen keen, Megs and camel . I tell you her b—-ch is on full display. And she is truly all about show, showing her ass literally.

    • Babz says:

I really looked at that picture today, for probably the first time. That smug smirk on Kate’s face is positively lethal.

      • swirlmamad says:

And knowing now just how much personal pain Meghan was in at that particular time, plus she was postpartum and likely extra emotional…..I have a lot of names running through my head for Kate, none of them nice enough to type out here.

    • SarahCS says:

Ouch, I agree. Hadn’t registered with me before but she may as well be waving a banner.

      • BothSidesNow says:

I am glad you guys pointed that out as I had not noticed it either. She is a deceitful and shameless person to go after Meghan when Meghan had and has never done anything to her. I am surprised that Keen Doucheness can wear a cross without it burning into her skin.

    • Nic919 says:

Kate has been a bitch to Meghan from day one. And it was one thing to not give Meghan a ride to a shopping mall, but just downright despicable to plant false media stories attacking her as she was experiencing suicidal ideation. It is evil behaviour and karma will get her one day for it.

    • IdenticalOskar says:

Swirlmamad thank you for pointing out that she was postpartum. I had postpartum depression and it was so absolutely soul crushing that I still think about it almost 5 years down the road. I didn’t even think until you mentioned it how horrible it must have been for her. She was depressed before she even had her baby and the stress afterwards… no wonder they booked it out of there. It’s too bad they didn’t feel they could do it sooner.

  6. Sunday says:

    “..she is human and a normal person, relatively speaking…” L O L

I just think it’s sad that they couldn’t even pull it together for a real comms strategy around their 10th anniversary that doesn’t involve sniping at Harry and Meghan. I mean, it’s not like anything they ever put out is true, so why not massage the truth a little to give them a grand decade of service and commitment? It is RIGHT THERE. I wonder if they tried to negotiate coverage and the press refused in favor of Meghan-bashing because it sells better than the cambridges alone? I mean, if any occasion called for glossy photo inserts and gushing coverage it’s a 10 year anniversary, right?

    • JT says:

It’s straight up pathetic. Those RRs and the Keens go on and on about how amazing and regal the Cambridges are. Or how they are the true stars of the monarchy, the actual number ones. So much so, that every article surrounding their TEN year anniversary brings up Harry and Meghan. They cannot even stand on their own feet without them. W&K’s entire PR campaign cannot be, we’re better than the Sussexes. It isn’t sustainable and it’s getting old. Their anniversary is barely making a blip.

      • Merricat says:

        +1

      • Sofia says:

Agreed. It’s the 10 year anniversary of the Future Future King and Queen and the “best” PR the tabloids can do is constant comparisons to how they’re SOOOOO much better than the 6th in line and his wife who aren’t working royals anymore nor even living on the same continent as each other.

      • Elizabeth Regina says:

THIS!! They could praise the Keens on their own merit but we all know that they are empty vessels who need the Sussexes to look good. Their rubbish copy cat PR strategy has backfired as it lacks any focus except to advertise denim jeans. They could have spoken about their many charities and used the opportunity to highlight 10 charities for instance and fundraise rather than go play with sheep.

    • Gabby says:

Correct. This could very well be their last wedding anniversary, so you would think they want to go out on high note.

  7. Woke says:

The general public doesn’t buy any of that, just look at any articles about her or her family on the BBC or the telegraph.
The royalists will soon be tired too and I mean the real royalists not the meghan haters disguised as Cambridge’s fans.

  8. MsIam says:

So Kate is basically a robot or a mannequin? Got it. Oh but what about that Commonwealth service? Kate showed and told us a lot about herself then didn’t she?

  9. aquarius64 says:

Tearing down the Sussexes to make the Cambridges look good. The BM is admitting W and K are unfit for office.

  10. Monica says:

“She does not expect any immediate reward…”

LOL! Now who’s reminding us of Waity Katie!? 🤣

  11. Lowrider says:

They just can’t seem to say anything positive about Kate without bringing up Meghan. Before Meghan entered the picture, Kate was reported as lazy, submissive and boring. Now she is celebrated for those same traits.

    • Osty says:

Because there is nothing positive to say about kate except ” she will one day be queen and she gave birth

  12. jaylee says:

Soooo Sarah Vine’s head is so full of nonsense that is sqashed her neck? What’s going on there?

    • BayTampaBay says:

I wondered the exact same thing. Does Sarah Vine have a neck???

    • Ann says:

She has serious posture issues and it’s going to get worse. She needs to see someone, get physical therapy and possibly a procedure, I don’t know.

    • msmontclair says:

I’d hang my head in shame if I were married to Michael Gove.

      • L84Tea says:

Maybe that’s what’s happening. She’s subconsciously collapsing in on herself from the head down.

    • SarahCS says:

She’s also been busy recently defending Boris’s right to a luxurious refurb of his Downing Street apartment which just MAY have involved some illicit financial shenanigans and no one is saying who paid for it but they also seem unable to confirm that he did (which is what should have happened).

So yeah, we see you Sarah.

      • SenseOfTheAbsurd says:

Well, she would, wouldn’t she. Itching to get her hands on the next refurb when her husband takes over as PM. They have previous for spending public money on tacky expensive furnishings.

Sarah Vine needs to be catapulted into a live volcano full of spiders.

  13. Miranda says:

“…being a real person, a mother with three kids who likes to take photographs.”

So Kate is that one woman in every office whose coworkers can’t stand her, except with the fame and wealth to subject the entire planet to constant bland photos and boring stories about her kids. Sounds about right.

  14. Snuffles says:

“I think it contrasts so starkly with this sort of ‘me me me’ thing that Harry and Meghan have got going on, where everything is about their emotions, all of the time. I don’t know what Kate’s emotions are, I don’t need to know what Kate’s emotions are.”

So repress all emotions and be a blank slate the public can project themselves onto. Easy to manipulate and mold into whatever story the BM want to put out. Got it.

None of that having a strong identity, opinions and feelings. Of the need to have a voice. How can the BM speak for you if you keep insisting you speak for yourself!

I swear they are working overtime to make everyone think the Kate way is the right way to royal. Can’t have the UK public developing EXPECTATIONS of the royal family that they will never be able to deliver!

This reminds me of the Truman Show where all the media in his fake world was to reinforce how perfect his home town is, how there is no need to ever leave and that leaving it is dangerous and scary!

  15. Cessily says:

What’s sad is after the everything in the past few years and with the pandemic the fact that people think they have a “long game” is delusional. Most of us are still in some form of quarantine and India is a medical and humanitarian nightmare along with many other commonwealth countries. People need to see hope and action now, that “long game” just looks lazy and pathetic.

    • lanne says:

Have the royals said one thing about their “commonwealth brother” India? Hmm. Silence is deafening. You know who will likely mention india? The big global event next week chaired by, guess who? The Sussexes!

      • Becks1 says:

I think Charles did issue a statement about India, but nothing from the Cambridges.

      • Cessily says:

They have a huge platform that they waste in favor of being petty. It would take minimal effort to mention the crisis in India and call on humanitarian aid. I think the use of the word rewards was laughable if it’s a dig at Duchess Meghan because she was never about the rewards she was about “getting results” and with most situations results are what’s needed as soon as possible, the long game doesn’t work when people are struggling to survive the day, or week..

      • BayTampaBay says:

It kind of hard to issue a statement about India when the UK government (some Hancock person???) has said the UK has no surplus vaccine to release (give???) to poorer countries.

      • notasugarhere says:

Also difficult when BoJo is facing yet another self-made scandal. Cannot focus on the UK much less India when he’s too busy trying to save his fat a$$.

      • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

        Charles offered “thoughts and prayers”.

I’m sure all the people in India are sleeping better and feeling MUCH more protected from Covid because of this utterance.

      • equality says:

@BTB If the UK has given NO thought to countries in the commonwealth needing vaccines, what good is the commonwealth to those other countries?

      • Cessily says:

@baytampabay I don’t think I mentioned Britain sending there vaccines. I was thinking more immediate needs like oxygen and supplies, but there is probably little of that to spare also.

    • SarahCS says:

I assume they feel that now they don’t ‘own’ India it’s not something they need to concern themselves with.

  16. ABritGuest says:

I’ve not seen one anniversary piece that hasn’t mentioned the Sussexes. Guess they have to get their clicks somehow. Still I wouldn’t want the likes of Sarah Vine cheerleading for me 🥴

Curious how press would have been for the Cambridges if Harry hadn’t married at this stage.

  17. Cee says:

She’s literally all smokes and mirrors. The only thing she has truly accomplished, besides having 3 children, is the COVID portraits. That’s it, all in 10 years of marriage plus 10 years of being the Official Girlfriend. I swear she did more as a GF than as a Royal.

She’s presented as a rock, as steady, as traditional, etc and yet her marriage is a mess. So yeah, they’ve even failed at that. No solid, healthy and loving partnership executes diverging PR stories from separate teams and households. Keen House will get very messy, especially now that Harry and Meghan are out.

  18. lanne says:

It’s all about Meghan, Meghan all the time. Apparently, these two don’t exist without Meghan. No one would pay any attention to them without Meghan. They must eat, sleep, and breathe Meghan. Is Meghan William’s first thought when he wakes up? Does Kate wonder how she’ll be compared to Meghan every time she shows her face in public? Is Meghan the “third person” in their marriage? if so, that’s completely insane, considering that Meghan is half a planet away. In that sense they’re no different than crazed toxic fans/haters. If Meghan is that important to them, what on earth does that say about the state of their marriage, or even of their individual psyches?

Comms team/crisis managers need to arrive stat and come up with a strategy. Because this obsession with Meghan is completely one-sided. the RF and their BM flying monkeys sound like crazy celebrity stalkers now. It’s been more than a year since Meghan set foot on that Salty Isle. Meghan hasn’t done a thing to diminish the royal family. Their bizarre, hateful, racist obsession with her is diminishing the royal family. The only thing they have on offer is that “We’re Not Meghan.” The problem with that is that Meghan has done amazing things, and will continue to do amazing things in the public eye. How does that reconcile with “We’re not Meghan” as a brand when Meghan’s chairing global initiatives and the Cambridges are petting sheep?

    • equality says:

Even their supposed fans realize that. You can’t search the hashtag for H&M without coming up with all kind of W&K anniversary pictures.

    • BayTampaBay says:

I really do not think that Meghan & Harry are important to Bill & Cathy.

The Sussexes are important to the British Media because they generate revenue where the Cambridges do not.

      • notasugarhere says:

They are absolutely important to W&K, otherwise we wouldn’t have joint and solo PR from W&K and Kate/Carole/Gary attacking Meghan (and sometimes Harry) constantly. W&K wanted Harry and Meghan as in-house scapegoats and workhorses. Barring that, they wanted them ‘banished to Africa’ and never heard from again.

Harry and Meghan free, wealthy, successful, and globally-known and admired? W&K nightmare.

      • SarahCS says:

I think it’s a bit of both. They were important enough to W&K to push to exile them out of the UK and now they’re their worst nightmare because H&M do what they do and they are EVERYWHERE.

In your face you small minded racists.

      • BayTampaBay says:

        ‘banished to Africa’

@nota – This is part of the point I was trying to make but worded it rather badly. If William, as believed by Celebitchy, or QEII, as I read in a book published late last year, wanted to base the Sussexes out of South Africa for at least 24 months, how could the Sussexes be of any importance to Bill & Cathy.

      • lanne says:

They are important to the Cambridges because they outshine the Cambridges, and Cain and Unable can’t stand that. They are willing to tarnish the monarchy due to petty jealousy. He’s as bad a brother to Harry as the markle goons are as siblings to Meghan. I think Will-di Amin’s only ambition is to be better than Harry. He’s been told all his life that he’s better and more important than Harry, and the fact that the world disagrees eats him alive. I think he’s the kind of narcissist who spends a good part of every day raging about Harry and how unfair it is that Harry got away from him. I think he can’t enjoy his own life right now because he’s overcome with Cain style jealousy. I never got the sense that William wants his position, but he sure feels entitled to it. Harry was supposed to suffer it with him, and he was supposed to be able to count on Harry always being lesser than. I think he’s miserable to be around, and miserable to his core. What have we ever seen Will-di Amin passionate about? Interested in? I think the only thing he gets off on is the idea of being more powerful than other people, and especially more powerful than Harry. Garden variety racist behavior, that. The persistent need to be better than, even at the expense of your own health and happiness.

  19. Becks1 says:

They’re trolling Kate at this point, right?

“she is in it for the long game, does not expect an immediate reward” – i.e. she’s not leaving William and she’s going to get that crown if its the last thing she does.

“all show and no tell” – I would agree with the first half, she is all show, there is nothing else to her besides what she shows on the surface – clothes and photo ops – but I disagree with the implication here that being “all show” relates to her work in a positive way.

“very slowly built up her reputation” – i.e. she still isn’t a full time royal and no one really knows why but at this point its just kind of accepted that she’s not going to work.

Anyway, Sarah Vine needs to keep Meghan’s name out of her mouth.

    • Cecilia says:

Sarah vile is the appropriate nickname for her

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Becks1, I do have to add to the “all show and no tell” issue. I really think Kant would “tell” but public speaking is something she does so poorly that it’s not possible for her to tell anything.

As far as building up her reputation? I haven’t read the entire article, but nothing in the paragraph about makes me think this has anything to do with work. She just building up her reputation to the public. As what?

  20. Merricat says:

Meghan is absolutely the antithesis of Kate, as evidenced by the number of actual people (with names) who are not related to her and who are willing to stand up to say what a lovely person Meghan is. Meghan’s steady stream of public service is antithetical to Kate’s refusal to work for the last ten years. And no one will ever forget the serene expression of Meghan at the Commonwealth service in contrast to lemon-sucking Kate. Keep your whey-faced British Mean Girl. Meghan rocks the world.

    • Agreatreckoning says:

Yes. This, Merricat. Meghan is the anithesis of Kate. Meghan is living a purposeful life while Kate is solely living a long game to have a crown plopped on her head.

  21. Osty says:

It must hurt them that even on their anniversary their sycophants cant seem to not talk about other couple . Also if kate had a smidge of brain or self worth she will tell them to stop embiggening her because they only make her look pathetic, like a child and a dumb person

  22. Gk says:

The British press seem unable to praise a royal without denigrating someone else , usually H&M.

  23. Jan says:

Funny, are Meghan and Harry living in England? No, but they hold the tabloids future in their hands, because without using their names, most of them would be sealing their coffins.
How many years did it take Kate to come up with 5 questions an eighth grader would ask.
William have no projects that he started by himself without Harry, so he held on Heads Together, was trying to wrestle the Invictus Games, but Harry was not parting with his baby.
Even Earthshot, he joined after all the hard work was done, Earthshot made an announcement on earth day, and it didn’t make a splash Worldwide, even with one of the most successful singers on board.

    • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

Who is the singer? Honestly don’t know (that’s how much of an “impact” Won’t made with “his own” project!). Has this endeavor done *anything*since* this announcement??

    • Gabby says:

I’ll bet my car Kate had to get help from the nanny to come up with the 5 questions.

  24. TTT says:

“She is in it for the long game, she does not expect any immediate reward.”

No lies. Kate knows how to count- she knows it will take over ten years. twenty most probably- for the Crown.

Don´t mind all those clumsy PR pieces. Dont mind they keep constantly comparing the Cambridges to the Sussexes as it is the only way to make the Cambridges look good because their work dont speak for themselves. I dont even mind the former white colonialists letting all out for the world to see their insanity- no, I dont mind.

What I do mind is the desperation. They can smell defeat. This is like the “Stop the Steal” madness. William might be more popular than Charles now, but Kate will never be loved as Elizabeth. They have a problem in their hands in that the young generation prefers Harry to William.

They have a problem because the world, in the space of two years, turned upside down and is gearing towards a more progressive society. They are dumb, but not entirely stupid- what will happen in twenty years?

The British Monarchy rests on a triangular base: you have the apathy of the British people, their adoration of their” glorious ” past and the PR propaganda of the Royal Rota. William is counting ona return to how things were in the 19th century, where Queen Victoria would go dark for months to end. He wants to scale down the Monarchy, a wish he share with Charles, but for different reasons: in William´s case, he wants the brits to pay for him and he will glady appear once a month or so, but he cannot bear the thought of bread and butter engagements. So does Kate. It is easy to fly for a farm once a week and spend time with sheep for a photo op, but is not easy to do four engagements a day in the heartlands…

They were fine with how things were. Until Meghan came. Charles wanted to freeze out his brother for a long time and made sure his nieces never worked full time. Now comes Harry with a biracial woman. Harry, who was supposed to do things the Cambridge would not in the long run- he and his blond wife. That is why Charles people were ” gently” trying to steer Meghan out ( you can keep on acting, how cool, huh?).

When it did not work, Charles did not want to create another problem. He would be looking hypocritical to his Mum if he was to keep things how they were and give a title to Archie when he was King. How things are included Andy, the son of the Monarch, returning. And their base would not like a biracial woman cutting ribbons, so…

William was fine with it. Very fine. He is more conservative than his father but is also appealing to the younger generation- suppodelly. But he will grow old. He will be in his sixties when his time will come, and by then, do you really think the generation that said clearly in the polls they prefer Harry would accept Will? and the base he appeals to- the Karens, the boomers- will tehy be enough?

So, yeah, Kate is playing the long game but not really seeing the full picture.

    • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

      Per Omid Scobie today:

Progressive take from @YourGirlTiwa on final day of @GMA’s #BehindPalaceDoors: “Anti-monarchist sentiment is growing in this country, especially amongst the younger generation… The Queen’s successor will have to do a lot of hard work to gain the trust of the British people.”

  25. equality says:

How exactly has Kate “built her reputation”? It seems to be she has built it by slagging Meghan. Is that supposed to be inspiring? Of course, she’s in it for the long haul: her husband and son will eventually be in the top spot if she holds on long enough. And expecting to be treated well is a “reward” and not something anybody is entitled to?

    • HeatherC says:

Exactly Her reputation right now is “NotMeghan.” That’s it. White woman who is not Meghan and is fine being a doormat. Oh yeah, she successfully gave birth to 3 cute kids

  26. Woke says:

At this point I think KP is frustrated with how much the press focuses on Meghan and Harry. And they can’t do anything about it because they don’t have the upper hand.

  27. Steph says:

I think Vine thinks results and rewards are interchangeable though they are not. Harry and Meghan are result driven humanitarians and yes, they work with a sense of urgency. I don’t understand how anyone who’s sole job is to provide aid and relief thinks it’s okay to only have a long game (which they don’t actually) and not an immediate game as well.

  28. Steph says:

By the way, my idea of a long game is working with World Kitchen to build kitchens/ shelters/ school buildings before a natural disaster hits. I have to look into whether the one in Dominica was utilized for the refugees from St. Vincent

  29. Alexandria says:

Omg can he just marry Rose or whoever so that we can have different stories. How are they gonna keep up writing about this nitwit over and over and trying to polish her. If I’m a rota rat I’ll just start using AI now. What a waste of time. Write about her to get access to what? Her white children? They offer those kids for sacrifice anyway!

I bet the rota wants this too. I know they are brown nosing a**holes and fake journalists, but this has got to get tedious now. They’ve been writing the same recycled stores for three years now. At least roasting the Cambridges for their work shyness is fun. It’s why I come here. William as a single dad dating could get real interesting and at least provide a new narrative. ( A CBer had a good theory about Will not needing a new wife and I’m starting to think that might be the best thing for him).

If Kate doesn’t tell the public about her work how would they know what she’s done or intends to do. She’s supposed to be doing charity work to justify the Royal Family’s existence. If she keeps quiet about it then people will just assume she does nothing except take photos of her kids. Maybe I gave them to much credit but I really expected KP to make an announcement or a statement today about William and Kate’s future work as a show of commitment to service and duty to the Monarch for the next ten years.

  31. serena says:

” I don’t need to know what Kate’s emotions are. She is very good – she sort of shows just enough to show that she is human and a normal person,” So they want a fake robot, is what they’re saying?
Love how they downplay the abuse Meghan suffered everytime they open their mouths, like ‘who cares if she was in pain and was mistreated? She needs to smile (that’s about all the emotions they want) and show she’s normal BUT NOT TOO MUCH.’

Except Kate can go cry about anything later and it will be out on the tabloids. So basically: it’s good to show emotions if it’s done by stabbing someone else’ back.

    Honestly, f*** off.

    • L4frimaire says:

This is so true. It’s ok to say you’re incandescent with rage or peddle the lies of white lady tears in national tabloids, over and over again. However it’s too emotional saying you dealt with racism, gaslighting and had mental health struggles amid isolation while pregnant is whining and betraying the family who never once supported you. How many more years are they going to keep this up? Until Kate is Kween?

  32. notasugarhere says:

That is a great dress on Rose.

  33. TheOriginalMia says:

Kate’s reputation is as…what exactly? She says nothing. She does nothing. We don’t know her opinions on anything. Everything is manufactured to either give her a personality or give her purpose.

Thank God Meghan isn’t anything like Kate. Thank God. Kate is all about the rewards. It’s why she has the titles. She chased a man. Let him use her when he wanted to. Dump her when he got tired of her. Took her back on his terms. All so she could become QC in 30-40 years. She is all about the rewards.

  34. Haylie says:

We know Ku Klux Kate isn’t about anything immediate. She waited for 10 years to be chosen by a man who thought he could do better than her, and lord knows he tried.

She can thank Richard Branson’s son for her 10 year wedding anniversary.

  35. Mich says:

What immediate reward did Meghan expect? Being treated like a human being?

    • Agreatreckoning says:

Yes…and they just couldn’t do it. And every time an article/opinion like this comes up only proves the point why Harry got his wife and son out of there.

  36. Jewell says:

This coverage is pathetic. Its all about bashing Meghan. I am sort of surprised William the Keen and Kathyrn the Karen haven’t put out the photos of them holding a “dark skinned” baby yet.

  37. Nivz says:

Every time I saw that picture of rose Hanbury walking into the state dinner, I wondered who the um ..interesting looking person next to her was. I guess Sarah vine got the neck she deserves?

  38. L4frimaire says:

When was the last time an article was written about the Cambridge’s without mentioning Harry and Meghan? The whole set up to this article is to feed this one sided competition.

    • Haylie says:

It’s impossible to write since they do so little and have no chemistry or personality. What would they write about? Will’s incandescence and Kate finding her voice again by selling Scentsy?

  39. Nic919 says:

I love how they pretend that Kate doesn’t like attention when she just spent her time doing glamour shots during her grandfathers in law’s funeral when everyone else managed to look emotionally impacted.

  40. Emily_C says:

    Hello? (Hello? Hello? Hello?)
    Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me
    Is there anyone home?

These people haven’t learned a thing since “The Wall” came out. But they’ve also been telling us what Kate’s emotions supposedly are non-stop. Which is it?

Meghan expected her husband to love her, and he does. She didn’t wait around for 10 years for a ring from a jackass incapable of loving her, either. Kate’s had her eyes on one prize her whole life, and it’s really pathetic.

  41. RoyalBlue says:

Kate is the antithesis. Whatever happened to saving broken Britain? Whatever happened to her landmark project? She is an epic failure.

  42. Likeyoucare says:

Kate doesnt expect rewards because she didnt want to work.

Meghan prefer to get good and meaningful result for every project that she did, just like every sane people who actually working to make the world a better place.

Everytime kate works, we rarely read about what is she working for. The BM prefer to report what she wears and the meaning of her clothes and jeweleries.

  43. SusanRagain says:

That headline makes me laugh. Doesn’t expect “immediate reward?”
Kate hit the reward jackpot as soon as William officially announced their engagement.
She has Big Blue, one of the most famous pieces of jewelry in the world, world wide fame since the wedding, travels/vacations almost constantly, etc., etc.

Kate plays the PR, RR very well.
Don’t people realize that part of The Firm biz is to play their public roles?
Liz was “all about duty”, Margaret was “wild and a rebel” etc., etc.

Why doesn’t The Firm go quiet? Silence the RR endless yapping against H&M?
Ohh, right. Deflecting at all cost anything about Prince Andrew, IMO.

RR, spin, spin, spin away from Andrew.
