It’s been as obvious and predictable as possible – Prince William and Princess Kate have telegraphed for weeks now that they plan to go out and be seen during the Invictus Games, which start on Saturday. Kate was really trying to grab headlines away from the Duchess of Sussex’s With Love, Meghan series last month, and that was just something Kate organized at the last minute. They’ve had months to plan for the Invictus Games, so prepare yourselves. Hello Mag just gave us a hint about what Will and Kate will do this weekend: take George out to a rugby game.
As parents to three children, Princess Kate and Prince William’s weekends are likely jampacked ferrying their kids to various hobbies, from football to gymnastics to tennis, but this weekend is set to be even busier – and perhaps tense.
Why? Because on Saturday, both Prince William and Princess Kate’s favourite rugby teams are taking to the pitch as part of the Six Nations rugby fixtures.
Princess Kate’s team of choice, England, of whom she is the patron, will take on France, while William’s team, Wales – of whom he is patron, playing Italy.
The matches will be played back-to-back, with Wales first followed by England – a tense afternoon indeed at their home in Adelaide Cottage.
The England v France match is set to be played at Twickenham, so there’s a possibility that Prince William could attend, following in the footsteps of his aunt Princess Anne, who attended the Scotland v Italy Six Nations game last weekend.
Yeah, Six Nations rugby on the same weekend as the start of Invictus? Of course they’ll be out. Of course George will be used for the photo-op too, and maybe even Charlotte as well. There will also be a revival of the “Harry abandoned his patronages” storyline, because Harry used to be the royal patron of England’s rugby team. Kate took it over from Harry, and the Mail will devote at least ten articles to that history.

Oh these poor, little sausages working their fingers to the bone!! WandK will be so exhausted by the time the IG wraps up that they’ll need a 3 week break, simply to recover!
Neither could be bothered to come out for the opening matches even though one was played right next door (England played Ireland on Saturday).
Kate was probably afraid of being booed by those mean Irish who don’t think the sun shines out her booty.
That was the Aviva stadium, in dublin
Yes like clockwork it will be them trying to pull attention away from Harry. It’s the only “work” they do.
They are delusional, they don’t compare and can’t compete.
A sporting event? Sure.
I doubt they all live together at Adelaide cottage. That photo of William is rather scary.
When William said that Charlotte was startled when she first saw his beard was the turning point when I realized they don’t live together.
Yeah, that was really revealing. You can’t startle a child with a beard, it grows gradually, unless you don’t see the kid regularly.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Kate shows up at the England game this weekend just because Invictus starts on Saturday. William will not be at that game because he’s the patron of Welsh Rugby.
lol “followed in the footsteps of his aunt Princess Anne” they’re acting like he is leading troops into the Second Battle of Bull Run, not taking his kid to watch a sportsball game from a luxury box.
If they serve alcohol 🍺 of course he will be attending, I’m sure the man’s liver is pickled. Probably explains why he currently looks like the walking dead.
I think William will go and bring George to shield from any criticism and to try to get attention from Harry.
We’ve heard how William called Harry “Harold” to belittle him? Well, I think William should henceforth be known as “Willard”. Peach fuzz crowned dome and dirty looking beard? Yeah, he’s a prize.
Oh, man ! William should have showed up in Paris last Friday to see Wales get demolished by France. That was crazy !! I hope we get to do it again this weekend against England (they got destroyed by Ireland lol).
Wank and buttons-galore are seriously pathetic with a very large P
