Elizabeth Holmes: ‘when the truth finally comes out I will be proven innocent’

When we last checked in with Theranos scammer Elizabeth Holmes, she had lost an appeal of her 11 year federal sentence and was covering People Magazine. In that interview she talked about how horrible it was in federal prison, which she called “pure pain” and “torture.” We learned that she was receiving counseling, exercising, doing meaningful work and speaking with her family twice a day. She had no remorse for her crimes, vowed to change the healthcare system and she also had a plan to reform the criminal justice system. Holmes issued a follow-up statement to People after her appeal was denied. She said “I am more determined than ever to fight for my freedom… and I know that when the truth finally comes out I will be proven innocent.” *sad clown noise*

It’s since been revealed that Holmes has been visited multiple times by Nathan Fielder, a Canadian docucomedy creator known for HBO’s The Rehearsal, for Showtime’s The Curse and for his Nathan for You Comedy Central series. I didn’t know much about this guy, but I watched clips of The Rehearsal and an explainer video and I think I’ve got the gist. In The Rehearsal, he makes elaborate recreations of everyday situations and conversations. The result is head-scratching mind-bending absurdity. Think Best In Show taken to the next level. Just Jared has this report of Fielder visiting Holmes, along with speculation about what Fielder might have in store.

Nathan Fielder has been spotted visiting Elizabeth Holmes in prison, sparking speculation about a possible new project involving the disgraced Theranos founder.

According to The InSneider, the 41-year-old comedian and filmmaker—known for his boundary-pushing social experiments like The Rehearsal and Nathan for You—has made multiple visits to Holmes at FPC Bryan, a minimum-security federal prison in Texas.

While details remain scarce, the report suggests Nathan may be working on a documentary or an experimental project centered on Elizabeth.

Given his track record of blending reality with satire, fans are already wondering what kind of bizarre and thought-provoking twist he could bring to Elizabeth’s infamous rise and fall.

While part of me thinks Holmes deserves zero attention, I wouldn’t mind it if someone takes the piss out of her. I can see her appeal as a docucomedy subject. She comes across like a cartoon villain, both in archival footage of her fake deep voice black turtleneck persona and in this attempted rehabilitation of her public image. This woman did real harm to the public health and to her employees and she stole half a billion dollars yet she received a slap on the wrist. Holmes remains defiant and narcissistic. However she’s presented, I hope that comes through. I also hope she doesn’t get paid a dime.

Good lort. She is vapid, awful and happily made people suffer so she could profit. Mango will probably pardon her sorry ass. She has the empty eyed, vapid blonde look of 2 of his ex-wives.

  2. Bumblebee says:

Meanwhile female prisoners in other federal prisons live in deplorable conditions and are assaulted by guards regularly. And this liar gets a documentary.

  3. Cali says:

    “Failure isn’t fraud.”
Lying about your failures so you can continue to get money is a crime. And so is jeapordizing people’s health by your lies.
And getting pregnant (twice!) so you wouldn’t have to go to prison is vile.

    • bananapanda says:

What’s vile is she knowingly visited and target international development groups (USAID, NGOs, public health groups) peddling a blood test that didn’t work. I would not be surprised if people died bc her testing kits had false negatives.

  4. Kadie says:

The truth DID come out Elizabeth and a jury of your peers found you guilty, because you’re guilty of cheating and fraud, not being an incompetent at business. Please stop, you’ve done the crime, do the crime. Please use this time to create a post-prison life for the betterment of others.

  5. chill says:

LOL, the TRUTH is out there in the courtroom. You are a grifter. Good luck with that.

  6. VilleRose says:

Ugh, scammers like her who refuse to admit they did anything wrong (the guy behind Fyre Festival, the Scamanda lady who faked cancer for years etc.) are always so exhausting. Take your punishment and sit down. The only people I feel bad for are her kids. I also don’t think she just had kids because she wanted to be a mom. She got pregnant because she was hoping to delay her trial and thought there’s no possible way a jury would send a white woman with young babies to jail. Her kids will be around 10-12 I think when she gets out? Early teenage years. She should be thankful she’ll get to enjoy any parts of their childhood while they’re still young. Most people don’t even that depending on their sentence.

  7. Elle says:

Meanwhile, most non criminals have to work 40-80 hours of legitimate work a week in order to pay for their housing, healthcare, childcare, groceries. No time for the counseling or exercising that they would also benefit from. Cry me a river. Don’t defraud innocent people who thought they could trust you. Her punishment should have been much more severe.

  8. Anon @ Work says:

I can only dream of achieving this level of delusion.

  9. Arhus says:

This woman is so awful. Why didn’t she present the “truth” at her trial?!

  10. pottymouth pup says:

My concern about a “docucomedy” about her is that, in today’s world, there’s no such thing as infamy. She’s just another white woman scammer who will get more attention/fame/celebrity playing victim (especially blaming her immigrant xBF for everything she did).

How many MAGA folks aside from Murdoch fleeced by her? Enough to prevent a pardon and job in the administration?

    • Paisley25 says:

Betty DeVos’s investment group put $100 million in Theranos. If that family is still tight with Trump, I don’t see her getting a pardon.

Okay Elon Musk. Good lord. Are all rich people this insane?
