Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce were house-hunting in Cleveland during the off-season

Two weeks ago, Travis Kelce posted some cute photos of his off-season, and many of the photos included Taylor Swift, his girlfriend of two years. While Travis and Taylor have appeared in each other’s social media before, it did feel like a big new step in their relationship. Someone (I won’t say who) has been consistently briefing People Mag about how Taylor and Travis are super-bonded after spending much of his off-season together.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are entering a new era together. The Grammy winner and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 35, “have talked about the future a lot,” a source tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“They’re in a really solid place and more in sync than ever,” the insider says of the couple, who first started dating in September 2023. “They’re both all in. Travis posting Taylor on his Instagram for the first time wasn’t random, it was intentional. They’ve been private in their own way, but this was his way of showing how serious things have become. There’s no pressure between them, but they’re very aligned on where things are going,” the source adds. “He makes her feel safe and supported and she brings so much joy into his life. They’re really happy.”

I believe this. Of course, I believed that Taylor and Joe Alwyn were super-serious and headed for marriage too, but I believe this time it’s different. Travis is so much different than Joe, and Travis is in a much different place in his career. Speaking of, remember all of those stories about Taylor and Travis spending time in Ohio in recent months? Well, it sounds like they were house-hunting.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may be taking the next step in their relationship. The pop superstar and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 35, recently “visited at least two opulent homes currently for sale in Northeast Ohio’s tony Eastside suburbs,” local outlet Cleveland Scene reported Tuesday, citing “multiple sources.” Page Six has reached out to reps for comment but did not immediately hear back.

The real estate shopping trip reportedly took place in June, when the loved-up couple was photographed having lunch at JoJo’s Bar in Chagrin Falls, a nearby neighborhood. The restaurant manager said of the lunch date at the time, “Travis grew up in Cleveland Heights, so he decided to visit somewhere he was familiar with.”

Although Kelce grew up in Cleveland Heights, the NFL star reportedly has his eyes set on a more lavish community for him and Swift to settle down in. The Cleveland Scene described the neighborhoods the pair visited as the “kind of places where wealth is abundant and babies are born with fully funded 529 accounts just in case they don’t get a lacrosse scholarship or decide to forego higher education altogether to pursue dressage full time.”

Currently, Kelce owns a $6 million mansion in Kansas City, Mo., which he purchased in the fall of 2023. However, since then the luxe property was burglarized, with thieves stealing at least $20,000 in cash and damaging the house’s back door. The Super Bowl champ may also be looking for a new home as retirement could be on the horizon following the 2025-2026 NFL season.

It’s possible they were house-hunting for a future Ohio abode. But I’d like to spin a different theory: Taylor Swift simply loves real estate, and she loves sizing up homes for sale wherever she goes. It feels very likely that Taylor was the one who wanted to look at houses, not Travis. Or maybe he did too, but I absolutely believe that Taylor was the one driving this. Girl’s gonna end up with homes in all 50 states pretty soon.

I can’t say I ever thought TS would end up living in Ohio.
    Rooting tor them!

  2. Becks1 says:

I can see them buying a house in Ohio, especially bc Kelce will probably leave KC once he retires (or shortly thereafter). People like this don’t live in one house full time anyway, so its not like Taylor is going to be hunkered down in Cleveland for the rest of her life. They’ll use her private jet to go between their many properties with some regularity.

  3. Lucy says:

The description of the neighborhood is killing me 😂 Especially about lacrosse scholarship to dressage professional pipeline 😂. You couldn’t pay me to buy a house in Ohio, so it must be true love (no offense).

  4. Nancy says:

As someone who lives in that area I can see at least four luxury suburbs that might appeal to them. But they sure aren’t going to live here full time or in the winter. Northern Ohio winters are not for the faint hearted.

I just love how shady this is.

As a fellow Clevelander, the word on the street is that have bought a home in Hunting Valley. I moved back to OH to raise my kids, after many years on the East Coast. Maybe this means a family is coming? Despite the gray winters, CLE is pretty great!

    • Sparky says:

I grew up in Pepper Pike (tony eastside suburb) so when I saw this I figured that they were looking in Pepper Pike or next door in Hunting Valley. My dad used to say it was a great place to raise a family except for the “damn weather.” (A dad who retired to Montecito!!)

  7. Kimmy says:

Two thoughts….he’s probably retiring soon and wants something close to his family. It’s also probably safer for Taylor to own a property and be able to have her security team do their thing than it is to bounce around or stay with his parents. With the way Trump keeps going after her and the terrorist plots during the Eras tour, I’d say they are being smart and cautious.

  8. Arhus says:

I bet they will have one house there for whenever Travis misses Cleveland. That’s so sweet!

  9. Mrs. Smith says:

They have enough money to buy a private estate in Trav’s hometown to use for their wedding. Why not buy a stunning home and prep it for your big day? Total privacy and it’s secure. Have a huge party, then sell.

  10. Juniper says:

Taylor’s lead guitarist is from Strongsville, which is a Cleveland suburb. It wouldn’t surprise me if they looked in Hunting Valley. They’re quite private there.
