Duchess Meghan teases a homeware line, showing a planter with the As Ever logo

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex still haven’t shown their fans much of their Montecito mansion’s interior. We’ve seen one portico, which is where Harry and Meghan like to film some of their public statements. We’ve seen parts of the kitchen, which is decorated in blue-and-white tiles, and there’s a massive island and lots of copper cookware. We’ve also seen their shared office space, decorated in pale creams and beiges. Over the years, we’ve seen some glimpses of white couches, an Hermes throw, and not much else. Okay, so now that I’ve listed everything, we do have a sense of their decor. But still, I want a home tour!! We won’t get one though, and I’m fine with that. All of that to say, Meghan posted a short little video inside her home, and she posted it to her IG Stories. You can see a white chair, an Hermes throw, Mia sleeping soundly, and a large planter full of flowers. On the planter, you can see the As Ever logo.

She captioned it, “Delphinium, Nigella, Veronica — meet As ever. With garden roses and Queen Anne’s lace (and a very sleepy Mia). Looking lovely, ladies.” Meghan loves her flowers and her flower arrangements. She would love to spend every day at the flower market. As for the As Ever vase/planter, People Magazine wrote: “While PEOPLE understands there is no official debut of a new home line planned — the vase was a fun creation for her With Love, Meghan Netflix series — Meghan has hinted in the past that her brand could expand into new areas, including home goods and fashion, making this glimpse a playful hint at what might be on the horizon.” Yeah… I hope an As Ever homewares collection is coming, just as I hope As Ever collaborates with some major brands. I want to see Le Creuset+As Ever, and maybe something with Williams-Sonoma. I also don’t believe that a homeware collection is imminent – it’s going to take some real time for Meghan to put that together.

I like the subtle relief lines in that vase, it’s a great shape (not too wide, nor boxy) and a nice pinkish clay kind of colour. There’s an art to flower arranging – one that I need to start cultivating, since I’ll be having hosts over this Christmas, hahaha.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen this vessel either. I was in one of the photos she took in her kitchen some months ago.

Whatever Queen Meghan sells, I will buy…

Just tell me when and where to aim my credit card. I’m ready, Duchess.

I want the cutting board she used to make her rainbow fruit platter. I’ve been coveting that since WLM season 1. I love dishes and glassware and bakeware (much more than fashion) so will thrilled if she releases a home goods line vs a clothing collab.

I’m excited to see what’s coming. My main question is how she has dogs and clean cream and white furnishings. How does it not get dirty? I’ve got a dog and GA reddish colored dirt and it is hard!

They probably have someone who cleans everyday so it’s not an issue. If I was wealthy, that’s the first person I would hire.

I’m guessing the throw (not Hermes) also on the chair is usually covering it. Signed, has three beagles allowed on the furniture.

My guess is Harry and Meghan decorated their home on their own to their own taste which I love. Every thing looks so relaxed and to be enjoyed not to fulfill a design brief. If in the future they decide to use an interior designer we may get an Architectural Digest cover.

I am looking forward to a homeware line from As Ever as those non food items would be the easier way for Meghan’s company to expand to international shipping.

This looks like the same aesthetic she had in her place in Canada – I love the vibe. Soothing, casual, approachable and comfortable, nothing too precious!

      • Jaded says:

Totally my taste and vibe. Everyone who sees our place for the first time says the same thing — it’s so calm and relaxing, a zen vibe.

For anyone curious to get a glimpse inside, there are lots of official photos available online from when the house was for sale

Inappropriate comment here going for it anyway; this is a perfect template for the Princess of Wales. Meghan would nail it. Just the right amount of elegance, intelligence , wife and mother and public servant.

      Hierarchical principle is against you.

There’s also scriptural, possibly divine, precedent against you. A large part of the book of Exodus in the Old Testament is about God hardening Pharoah’s heart, and not letting the chosen people go. But, then the chosen are delivered…and it’s not to royal life.

I really liked this comment. It just hit all the jangly nerves. The funny thing about this site is that inadvertently it prompts connections: they tried to cancel Kimmel (I’m hearing the voice in my head crying, they killed Kenny!) and it backfired …and they tried to cancel H&M and it backfired in the exact same way. It just took longer. I think the motto of this type of failed manoeuvre would be, the joke’s on you.

  9. Wash says:

I’m not a fan of brand emblazoned anything, and the vase style is rather traditional for my taste. If she ventures into glass or pottery I’ll give As ever another look.

    • Me at home says:

I like the vase shape, color, and material–I’m not a fan of vases that fight with the flowers for attention. Although tbh it’s easier to arrange flowers in other vase shapes. But I’m with you, I’m not big on branded anything, so I hope she doesn’t do that. If Meghan collaborates with companies that outfitted her kitchen, then take my money.

      • Wash says:

I have planters very similar and mine are 10″ wide. At that size and bigger, it becomes very difficult to arrange flowers and I use mine as outer vessels for flowers in smaller plastic pots.

    • tamsin says:

Traditional with perhaps a little twist or tweak is what sells to a large base. It would fit in with many different types of decor, or even be a counterpoint in some.

    • Betsy says:

According to sources, this vase was a one-off.

ᴵ ᵈᵒⁿ’ᵗ ᵃᶜᵗᵘᵃˡˡʸ ˡᶦᵏᵉ ᵗʰᵉ ᴬˢ ᴱᵛᵉʳ ˡᵒᵍᵒ, so wouldn’t be buying anyway.

I completely understand why we only get snippets of the Sussexes home and it all centers around security. I am content as a supporter to enjoy what is shared. I am looking forward to new offerings from as ever and I will continue to shop from what is available now. Recently ordered 2 boxes of cookies and 2 container of Orange Marmalade and received both.

    • C-Shell says:

I was too slow to check out to get the raspberry spread, but I got my free jar of apricot spread and the orange marmalade. I’m not a fan of marmalade, but THIS STUFF IS SO FREAKIN’ GOOD! I learned last week to not try both at the same sitting. The apricot, also delicious, is tart up against the sweeter marmalade, which is a disservice to the apricot.

      • kirk says:

Lucky you with orange marmalade. I got complacent when it didn’t sell out right away and thought I could wait till I got back from trip. Now I have tart mango sherbet without a sweet topper 😥

      • L4Frimaire says:

I’m generally not a marmalade person either but it is so delicious. It’s really good. I only bought one jar but hope she restocks it because would love to gift it. My FIL loves marmalade. I like the vase and how they do the logo. Would be great for holding kitchen utensils.

I love their property. Peaceful, breezy, sublime. I’m pleased they found a place to live that provides them with security and joy; their own cocoon or nest.

Looking forward to seeing what’s next for her business. I’m enjoying my As Ever products. 💕

  12. HeatherC says:

Her aesthetic is so calming. Unless, I (only me personally) had to live there, I am SUCH a klutz I wouldn’t trust myself to carry so much as a bottle of water across the living room lol. I admire so much the people who can live in light colors (or afford to have them cleaned for them). this is not snark, I am that messy. My best friend’s living room is in pale pink and sage. Beautiful. We hang out in the kitchen lol.

  13. Florin says:

This feels like a great fit for her, and she has a minimalist, coastal bougie aesthetic that I think appeals to many of us, so this seems like it will be more substantial move, and far more worth the hoopla than jams and tea!
