Audrey Nuna wore a dramatic, masked Maison Margiela dress to the VF Oscar party

I got on the KPop Demon Hunter train early last fall and like most people, I was really rooting for them to win at this year’s Oscars. I couldn’t believe it when the “Golden” songwriters got played off after they won Best Original Song. Like, what the actual F?!

Ejae, Rei Ami, and Audrey Nuna – the women who were respectively behind Rumi’s, Zoey’s, and Mira’s vocals – slayed so hard all awards season, with both fashion and performance. While they did a black-and-gold theme for the ceremony, their after-party aesthetics were very dramatic yet different.

Rei Ami wore an incredible floor-length red Quine Li gown that had a slit up the middle, plush fur cape, and big train. Her necklace is David Webb. It reminded me of a comfy, sexy bathrobe, and I truly mean that as a compliment. She looks fierce as f-ck.

Ejae and her fiance, Sam Kim

Ejae wore Dior. I think this was the most boring look out of the three of them. I liked the halter top, and the dress looked fine from the side, but something about it just wasn’t clicking for me. She took great pictures wearing it while holding the Oscar, though. There’s something about being happy that makes an outfit look all the better.

Finally, Audrey Nuna continued the “golden” theme with a dramatic, masked Maison Margiela dress. I am obsessed with this Oscars-cosplay dress. She looks like the statue itself! It’s so extra, but I love it so freaking much. This feels like the definition of ‘leaning in.’ Slay, queen.

I love all of these looks (especially the last one) AND they look like they are wrapped in a bathrobe, a peignoir, and a bedspread, respectively.

If it’s faux fur, I like it. If it’s real then it’s a no for me.

The last one in gold — I just see gold colored Jiffy Pop popcorn after the little pan with wire handle has been shuffled around over the cooktop and the foil has poofed out.

All three of them have very different styles. Rei Ami is more cutesy, Ejae is classic and Audrey is experimental. Audrey is totally my new style fave. She has been killllling it all season. She can go wacky and still pull it off. And her styling is always so on point.

It’s the rules for the category. Seven recipients means one shared statuette. They signed an agreement. She accepted the Oscar so she spoke.

That said, it’s really clear that the producers need to get a before the ceremony agreement on who is going to speak and for how long with these team awards (who should get an extra 30 seconds or so).

Interesting does that mean only one person takes one home? I agree 7 producers can’t all talk though I wish Teddy did (legend). Even if they weren’t technically the recipients I thought it was odd that Rei Ami and Audrey didn’t go on stage. They have been doing all the promo and heavy lifting.

    This is nice
