The late Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart have two daughters, Billie, 16, and Georgia, 14. They live with their mother in Los Angeles. The girls accompanied their parents on red carpets, but have generally stayed out of the spotlight. Billie is a model and dancer. Georgia graduated from middle school this year and is following in her parents’ footsteps.

Lifetime recently announced three new movies that are premiering in September as a part of their “Strength of a Lifetime” line up. Rebecca and Georgia are starring together in The Ocean Between Them, which is out on September 26. It’s inspired by the true story of a mother whose daughter disappears while on vacation. Rebecca is playing the missing daughter’s mother and Georgia is playing her younger daughter. Jessica Lord plays the daughter who’s lost at sea. From USA Today:

Eric Dane’s daughter is set to make her acting debut with her mom by her side.

Georgia Dane, the 14-year-old daughter of the late “Grey’s Anatomy” actor, will star opposite her mother Rebecca Gayheart in the new Lifetime movie “The Ocean Between Them,” the network has announced.

Inspired by a true story, the film stars Gayheart as a “devoted mother whose world is upended when her daughter Miranda disappears at sea during a vacation in Belize.” Dane will play Ashley, Joan’s younger daughter.

It’s kind of funny that most headlines frame Georgia’s debut as “landing her first movie role.” It’s absolutely nepotism, but in this case, I’m fine with it. She’s a young teenager who lost her dad too soon and is playing a small role in her mother’s Lifetime movie. It’s not Oscar bait. She’s still young enough to decide whether acting is her thing. I’m giving her grace because of her circumstances. If nothing else, she’ll always have a movie she made with her mom to look back on during one of the hardest years of her life.

I think I saw her in a video talking about grief. What a cute & smart girl. I hope she does well & likes her experience.

    What beautiful girls!

The younger daughter looks just like her dad, imo. I would not have known that was Rebecca Gayheart, I can’t put my finger on what looks so different. She reminds me of Jane Seymour now.
