Last Thursday, Prince William and Kate made their first-ever visit to Rothesay, Scotland. That’s their title-namesake, when they’re in Scotland, their titles are “the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay.” Those have been their Scottish titles for four years, and once again, this was their first-ever visit. Wild, right? Even crazier is that William and Kate only threw together their big day in Rothesay because they were competing with Prince Harry’s Invictus events. At the end of the day, few people cared. There were some videos mocking the Rothesays for performatively picking up litter while wearing Burberry, and there was a video of William fussing at Kate, and those videos got more attention than the actual visit. Well, it looks like ol’ Peg and Buttons only agreed to their half-assed Scottish trip because they could get a vacation out of it. They apparently stayed in Scotland over the weekend.
The Prince and Princess of Wales spent the weekend in Scotland as the fallout from Earl Spencer’s memoir about Diana, Princess of Wales, continued.
William and Catherine are thought to have travelled to Royal Deeside after their visit to the Isle of Bute on Thursday, while the monarch stayed at his Birkhall home on the Balmoral estate, following two days of engagements at Dumfries House in Ayrshire.
Catherine stayed for two nights before returning to Windsor alone on a British Airways flight from Aberdeen on Saturday morning.
Neither Buckingham Palace nor Kensington Palace would comment on whether they had spent time with the King. The monarch and his heir have made a point of enjoying private time together in Scotland in late September in recent years.
Last year, William stayed with the King on his Scottish estate, where he also reportedly hosted friends for a shooting party.
While the Prince has made no public comment on the allegations in his uncle’s memoir Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, his proximity to his father over the weekend may be interpreted by some as a show of support amid a series of damaging claims made against the King by his former brother-in-law.
Literally, they did one day of “royal engagements” and immediately needed a three-day holiday weekend without their children. I would argue that they probably weren’t even staying at the same place at a technical level – while I buy that William was probably staying somewhere on the Balmoral estate, I have my doubts that Kate was anywhere nearby. Kate leaving Scotland solo sort of confirms that they were not even together this weekend. I bet Willy hosted another shooting party. Anyway, Willy has to fly back to London soon – tonight is the royal premiere of Digger. Someone dig out the plane shoes and Kate’s beehive wiglet!

Looks like there has been a 3 day vacation yes. In just a few days, when people will complain they vacay too much, the vacay will transform itself into a swan song summit where it was, of course, forbidden to speak about the sussexes.
If there was a Swan Song summit, there is not a snowballs chance in hell that khate would have been allowed to attend. They wouldn’t have trusted her with any of their nefarious plans.

I wonder if the story was in response to the woman on Twitter who said that Kate boarded her flight alone on Saturday morning. She was going on about how Kate’s getting on the flight was “no fuss, as it should be,” clearly a dig at Meghan…only to later admit she got bumped from her seat because of Kate.
BTW, Kate was last on, first off, and had a car waiting on the tarmac. Very normal lol.

I think she must have been up in Balmoral if she flew back from Aberdeen, as that’s the other side of Scotland from Rothesay (if she’d flown straight back from Rothesay she’d have gone through Glasgow). But that doesn’t mean she spent time with PW – or indeed KC. The Balmoral estate is enormous.
I love how the article talks about William and Charles spending private time together….and then mentions that William also hosted a shooting party. My guess is there was another such party planned for this weekend Kate was not invited.
Interesting that her flight back was discussed – besides FlyBe, we rarely hear about their travels to and from Scotland. Wonder if someone wanted to make it clear that she was send home separately.
They are super vague about william being with kate but far more specific about kate travelling from Scotland alone.

The thing is they didn’t spend the weekend together. If you leave on Saturday morning as Kate did, you’re going to spend the weekend somewhere else. This tells us nothing about where William was – it tells us what he did last year. Obviously the Hello story is a reaction to people tweeting about seeing Kate on their flight but as usual, why are they so bad at this? Why not just say they spent an extra couple of days and then she returned to the children? I mean, the children are always the excuse so why not now? I don’t know why they needed to spin it a way that makes it so obvious it’s being spun – it only encourages conspiracy theories even if things are completely straightforward.
Actually, it does not appear that “they” stayed anywhere.The writer is trying to be slick, trying to have it both ways. Kate was seemingly left there on her own, as the article says, immediately after making it sound as though both she and William had been there together. She was so worn out that she needed time to recover on the spot before returning to wherever she really lives? Because William certainly was not travelling with her on the return journey.
These reporters just LIE. And they don’t seem to proofread their own articles long enough to spot the glaring contradictions.
Tom Sykes spilled the beans last year that during the alleged father-son private time, William was staying at Balmoral and Charles at Birkhall, and William was hosting a stag shooting party. It’s about that time of year. They probably didn’t even see each other, if he was even there. Don’t forget Kate loves to shoot and bought herself a shotgun a few years ago.

I hate that hat on her. Yes, they’ve trained themselves to be lazy do-nothings, so even a whiff of work will exhaust them. It’s not the “work” itself (which is never real work), but the anxiety and anger of doing it at all that wears them out. So then, yes, they’ll take a 3 day holiday. On holiday, skiing, hiking, swimming etc. will not exhaust them because they know they’re doing it for themselves, no one else, to have fun. The idea that they have to SERVE other people is infuriating and exhausting in itself (to them). Charity? Do-gooding? How does it help THEM? It doesn’t. So why do it at all? Or have to do it? It’s a bloody outrage! What do all those people want from them? Fuck them all. I imagine that’s what’s going on in their heads with everything that’s work-related.
