Angelina Jolie finally tells a story about Pax, The Forgotten Jolie-Pitt

Angelina Jolie did a press conference in Cancun, Mexico, when she posed for photos that we still don’t have access to. Thankfully, Us Weekly was on the ball and sent someone down there to actually, you know, record what Angelina said at the press conference. It sounds pretty cute – she got some questions about her kids, and she finally told a story about Pax, The Forgotten Jolie-Pitt (aka “Call Me Fred”). Pax/Fred got upset when he saw the trailer for Salt, because he thought someone was actually beating up his mom. But, Angelina says, most of the other kids don’t really give a sh-t that she’s an actress. Shiloh is giving her mom style tips though – Shiloh wants Angelina to get a short little pixie cut too!

Like daughter, like mother? When Shiloh Jolie-Pitt saw her mom Angelina Jolie in the trailer for Salt, the tot with the pixie-cut had some pointers.

“Shiloh wanted me to get my hair cut short,” Jolie told reporters Wednesday at a press conference in Cancun, Mexico for the action flick.

Jolie, 35, is in Mexico for film promotional duties with her four eldest: Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5, and Shiloh, 4. The tykes saw the film’s trailer for the first time in their hotel, Jolie explained.

“Half of them were uninterested,” the actress said. Her second eldest was concerned when he saw Jolie get roughed up in one shot. “Pax got upset because someone was trying to hurt his mom. He saw [my] feet wrapped and he got mad. But then I explained to him that I’m fine.”

She added: “They’re very confused, to be honest. I think they don’t quite know what to think. Even the change of hair color is confusing for them,” she said of her blonde locks in the flick. Where were the kids during her meet and greet with the press? “They’re in the pool,” Jolie explained.

The star also dished on love Brad Pitt, who stayed behind in L.A. with twins Vivienne and Knox, nearly 2. Pitt, 46, was “very supportive” of her taking on the role after taking a year off to have the twins.

“We met doing this style of film,” she noted, referring to the 2005 action flick Mr. and Mrs. Smith. “He knows that in some way the action of it is fun for me. We have fun together doing kind of physical things, whether it’s my training for this or motorcycle practice … it was fun.”

“I was sitting in my nightgown in bed feeling very very girly and very soft,” she recalled. “I sat with [the script] on the bed…I said I think I found something that will help me get kind of fired up again and physical again.”

“Anything I was ready to do he was going to jump behind. But he was happy for me.”

[From Us Weekly]

Some famous actress… I forget who now, maybe it was Meryl Streep or Julianne Moore, someone like that, said that her kids thought “Mommy works in a trailer” because whenever the kids came to visit her at work, she was in the trailer, getting her hair and makeup done, waiting to go on set. It must be really strange having a major actor or actress as a parent. I know that’s a “no sh-t, Sherlock” statement, but really, just think of the mechanics of it alone. Another one of my favorite stories of a kid who grew up around a famous parent was Sofia Coppola’s story about always being on her dad’s sets, and hanging out with the makeup and costume department, and giving makeovers to her dolls. So maybe it’s not all “Don’t watch Mommy get tortured by this man, okay?

I love the stories about the kids. There are new pics of them leaving Cancun on July 1st. I think sometimes people forget how very young these children are. LOOKING at the new pics it is clear that they are very happy children. Shiloh seem to be the daredevil. I guess she takes after her mother. Cute.. so I for one love the stories about the children and Brad.. don’t care.. I like hearing about them. The pieces of information coming from her interviews show a woman that is happy and content. I’m sure the naysayers will find something wrong, but I like her very much. Can’t wait for this movie to come out.

  2. YT says:

I, too, like hearing stories about her kids. There must be hundreds of fun stories with them, and it is nice when she or Brad share a few.

Pax was probably edited out of the magazine article.

  3. bite me says:

i remember when people used to bitch about her not talking about Shiloh 😀

  4. N.D. says:

She might be oversharing a bit, but she’s always been like that. Only 10 years ago it was weird and/or darker stuff and now it’s kiddie stories and gushing about Brad.

  5. LOVE ANGELINA says:

The kids just sound sooo sweet. LOL poor Pax, so cute he thought his mom was in trouble. Angelina sounds so happy. Its really sweet. I think Shiloh is gonna be a lot like Angie, she is a Gemini just like her mom.

  6. cee says:

I will always respect how truthful Angie is and how happy she is with Brad and her kids. They are a family and all the craziness that goes n with being family. I know I am one of 9 kids. But I loved every minute of my childhood.

  7. DD says:

She seems to go out of her way to throw in subtle hints of how intimate she is with Brad and she sounds tacky and ridiculous doing it.

  8. Anonymus says:

This is so poor-sehlig and embarrassing.

Now she tells a fictional story. No one can verify the story. It is very good PR!
    And it is again!!

  9. S says:

I think that was Jennifer Garner talking about Violet thinking she works in a trailer

  10. snowball says:

Stupid thought, but after reading the clips of that other article, I wondered if AJ would ever specifically address the Pax omission. That was sort of weird. I mean, with a kid with that bad of a haircut, how do you forget him?

Cute stories though. It would be so cool and so weird to grow up in a HW family and see Mom and Dad doing all that stuff in movies.

  11. mln says:

wow the scandalous Pax omission come on have you ever heard of editing?? If you want to blame someone blame the editor of the magazine.

  12. Cheyenne says:

Cute little guy. He’s my favorite of all the kids for some reason; not sure why, exactly. He just seems to have a very joyous, vibrant personality. Maddox will probably always top him academically, but when they are teenagers, I think Pax will be the one who gets all the girls.

  13. nan says:

I love when Angelina shares some intimate details about her and Brad. She rarely did in the past, but now she’s beginning to open up. I love this family and can’t get enough of their stories and pics.

  14. viper says:

hee hee teh dudes a fighter.

  15. Seri says:

Mad is gonna be soooo cute when he grows up!

  16. Kelaa Khaa says:

    What a beautiful family!

  17. Liana says:

They are such beautiful children and I really do think they are good parents.

  18. Josephina says:

    DD1-

Seriously? There is nothing twisted here.

Angie is in love with Brad, her man.

Brad is in love with Angie.

    They have six children together.

They are a happy family that loves spending time with each other.

Both parents LOVE to talk about their kids and each other.

    Easy enough, right?

  19. Kim says:

If AJ ‘s interviews are “fake”,” embarassing””tacky” and “ridiculous” Stop reading them.I’m a fan so I enjoy the stories she hasn’t done an extensive interview since 2008 pre twins so I’m looking forward to this interview and the red carpet interviews. Can’t wait for Salt!

  20. Just a Poster says:

No matter what you think of Angie and Brad those kids always look happy and well like kids.

    I find that quite refreshing.

  21. mollination says:

    God those kids are cute.

  22. DD says:

@Kim: you probably don’t know this because I don’t cream my pants over Angelina’s every move. But she is actually one of my favorite actresses which is why I’m on her threads more than others. I too am looking forward to Salt. I still stand by her sounding tacky about feeling very very girly in bed with Brad and deciding she wants to be physical again with his undying devotion… If you don’t think she carefully constructed that sentence to make everyone fawn and cream their pants lol.
But yes I look forward to watching Salt too, if that is okay with you.

  23. Wow says:

Cheyenne: The amount of time you’ve clearly spent thinking about, and analyzing, this family is scary. You are truly disturbed.

  24. Jeri says:

Like Warren Beatty said of Madonna:

“She’s only alive when the camera is on.”

    or something to that effect…

  25. OC lady says:

So nice of her to read all the “Where’s Pax” comments by all the “truly” concerned internet folks, and let us all know how he’s doing. Thanks Angelina! 😉

  26. kate says:

I think that it’s all a show; I feel sorry for the kids.

  27. mslewis says:

Cute stories. I remember when she was promoting “Mighty Heart” and told the story about Maddox being confused because she looked exactly like his friends mother (Marianne Pearl and her son Adam).

  28. chris says:

I really love that Vanity Fair cover.

  29. Up to date, numerous celebrities have visited the Mayan archaeological sites – Chichen Itza, Ek Balam among many, but as of to recent years the crowds are spectacular, i wonder how can they possible go there without media cover…
