Angelina Jolie explains her thigh tattoo: “It’s for Brad”

vf11

The promotional tour for Salt is only going to get hotter, and hopefully, Angelina will find her rhythm soon, because in her two major interview thus far (Parade and Vanity Fair), she’s come across as rather full of it and haughty, and I’m saying that as a fan, lovers and haters. Angelina is in Washington DC right now, doing limited press and preparing for what I think will be a DC premiere. She sat down with MTV News to talk about her thigh tattoo that was seen in the Vanity Fair pictorial (“It’s for Brad”), her desire to work with Tim Burton, and her conditions for doing the Cleopatra movie (MTV video clips included below):

It’s safe to say Angelina Jolie is as well known for the details of her personal life as she is for her work as a Hollywood actress. Occasionally, however, those two aspects collide, like when her onscreen characters sport some of her real-life tattoos. And Jolie’s penchant for ink has been well-documented, both in the tabloids that follow her closely and in her big-screen appearances. But observant fans recently spotted some new work when Vanity Fair ran a cover story on the A-List star.

MTV News caught up with the star this week in Washington, D.C., where Jolie was promoting “Salt,” and we had to ask about the tattoo. But the actress was tight-lipped about what the ink, on her inner thigh, actually said.

“Um, it’s for Brad,” Jolie demurred with a smile.

She was more open, she said, when it comes to her personal life.

“I actually think it’s important to be completely honest, however difficult that may be,” Jolie told us about what makes a relationship successful. “I’m bad at hiding secrets anyway,” she added.

Jolie also revealed that her partner, Pitt, had yet to see the action flick, which opens July 23.

“He hasn’t seen the movie,” she said. “Maybe he’ll question me after he sees it,” she joked of playing a string of wives-with-secrets. Jolie admitted she couldn’t be sure how her choice in roles might affect their offscreen relationship. But she was sure Pitt would enjoy “Salt.”

“Oh, of course,” Jolie said. “He was there for the shooting and he would come to set and he’d seen some of the stunt sequences and stuff. He thinks it looks cool and all of that, but he hasn’t seen the whole thing. He’ll see it at the premiere.”

Angelina Jolie has a lot of movies in development, apparently, and she’d love to make ’em all! In this video, a reporter from MTV asks her if she’ll actually make any of them, and she manages to give a convincing “maybe” as her answer to everything. But the project that seems most likely to see a screen: Tim Burton’s Maleficent, a take on Sleeping Beauty’s evil queen.

“It’s all new and being discussed,” she says of the project. “But I loved her when I was a little girl. She was my favorite. Tim Burton, the chance to work with him would be extraordinary.”

As for the rumors that she’ll she’ll star in an upcoming Cleopatra biopic, she says the film doesn’t even have a director yet, but she’d like to tell “the real story” of the Egyptian queen someday

“I think if we can get the story right, and do the real story,” she said of a possible script. “I think there’s a lot about her that’s never been covered yet. So if we can do something original, we will.”

Jolie’s name has also been attached to two other films: “Serena,” an adaptation of the Ron Rash novel to be directed by “The Wrestler” helmer Darren Aronofsky, and a cinematic portrayal of Kay Scarpetta, the protagonist in Patricia Cornwell’s best-selling book series. The actress didn’t seem to have much information about either feature, but prospects for “Serena” seemed to be a little more concrete.

“We’ve talked about it, and I would love to work with Darren one day,” Jolie said, adding that the project itself was perhaps less important than her potential collaborator. “So if it’s not that, it will be something else. But I think he’s one of my favorites.”

Scarpetta, on the other hand, seems further down the road. “I think they’re writing a script,” Jolie said. “It’s in development,” she laughed, acknowledging she was short on news.

“It’s all very in development.”

[From MTV (two stories) and New York Magazine]

Of Angelina’s in development projects, I’m most excited about Maleficent and the Kay Scarpetta film. I hope the Scarpetta one gets made soon, and I hope they pair her with someone really good for Marino, someone like James Gandolfini. And yes, I do think Angelina was meant to work with Tim Burton. She can do big and cartoony characters very well, and it would be interesting to see her as a villainess.

  2. Kimberly says:

What does the tat say ? It’d be nice to have a zoom in on the tat .

  3. Kaiser says:

Kimberly – I have no idea what it says, but if anyone knows, please say! I have the magazine, and I can’t tell in the photo either.

  4. Isa says:

I’m not sure I want to watch Salt, but I’m excited about these new movies. I hope they pan out.

I’m so glad to have some new interviews, they’re so much more interesting than reading about them breaking up.

  5. azerty says:

    another ugly tatoo. yerk.

  6. schanuzers!!! says:

From what I can see, and it’s not much, I don’t have great eyes…it LOOKS like it might possibly say “Mrs. Pitt”.

  7. Anti-icon says:

I gotta hand it to her, the tat photo and the oh-so-cunning “i’m not telling” response is very old school Angelina. Then you have the New Ecceliastic Angelina in the interview discussing how they expose the kids to all types of religious thought. She covers her PR bases.

  8. pebbles says:

I’m a heterosexual woman, and day-um, Angelina is so sexy…..I want her to get a tattoo for me too.

  9. ago says:

    old…

  10. mslewis says:

Angelina will be on one of the morning shows tomorrow. I think it’s the ABC one and then she’ll be on, I think, Nightline tomorrow night. I can’t really remember but I have marked both shows to record. Just FYI.

  11. ol cranky says:

My guess is that it says “please pay before entering”

honest to Betsey, if you have a habit of discussing your tattoos (and she does) and you pose for publicity shots that show the tat, stop being so coy

As for Cleopatra, if she wants to ensure the “real” story is told, she should be willing to exec produce and fund it but refuse to star it, instead making sure someone more ethnically appropriate gets to play the role.

  12. Sara says:

People(housewifes and single men) are ready to pay to watch this skeleton and listen/read to her 100x heard interviews of the perfect family with the goat?
    Hahahahahahah!!!

The only film worth of money this summer is Inception.

  13. original kate says:

    TMI, angie…TMI.

    • gg says:

“It’s for Brad” is TMI? Good thing she didn’t actually say what it said. 🙄

  14. mimi says:

I remember Jennifer Aniston wearing a tshirt that said I love Brad Pitt on SNL (which they zoomed in on) right before they split.

  15. Mia says:

Ethnically appropriate does not apply here, she’s ethnically quite close enough. It’s pretty common knowledge.

Cleopatra was Greek, Hellenistic in culture originally even, the first in hundreds of years of Ptolemaic pharaohs to decide to learn to speak Egyptian. The other members of her family actually only spoke Greek. They were descendants of a general of Alexander’s who conquered Egypt and founded Alexandria.

What Hollywood gets wrong is they cast It Girls as Cleopatra, blue eyed dark haired beauties without prominent noses.

Cleopatra had a profile that would scare the hell out of a real witch.

    Here’s the real lady.

    http://u21museums.unimelb.edu.au/museumcollections/glasgow/images/Cleopatra-Coin.jpg

She was not beautiful on the outside. That’s the real story. Cunning yes, Liz Taylor no. Angie, not at all.

And she came at the end of a tumultuous time. She was involved in a lot of murder, war and intrigue. She totally lost Egypt’s independence.

  16. bizzy says:

i want it to say ‘welcome home, honey’.

  17. lrm says:

god, she’s a genius when it comes to PR.
Saavy doesn’t even begin to describe it.
    Wow.
I think she’s extremely smart and uses it manipulatively.

This is why she gets the big bucks-her looks, but also her ability to generate attention and energy around a film via herself.

She definitely has a vampire energy that she plays on.

She successfully merges and plays the cards of madonna and whore-she’s very talented, when you think about it, with the hollywood PR machine.

Even I believe much of what she says-but I don’t think much of it is actually true.LOL

I don’t love or hate her-for the record. Neutral.

  18. DD says:

Angelina has been one of my favorite actresses to watch on the big screen for many years, and yes I noticed she’s been coming off as full of herself. I think she was at the top of her game right until she got with Brad Pitt and now she comes off rather haughty and elitist. I still love her but not as much lol. She looks very beautiful in the interview though, more like her old self. And can anyone say for sure what ethnicity Cleopatra is, opinions seem to be equally divided.

  19. anon says:

    What’s it say?

    “Warning, STD’s ahead”
    “biohazard”
    “keep out quarantine”
    “Has Been”
“Abandon all hope ye who enter here”

  20. bellaluna says:

LOL @ anon! Just read your comment, nothing else – thanks for the laugh!

  21. lena says:

read somewhere that the tat says whiskey and beer after some song

  22. pamela says:

I see Celebitchy are giving the rabid haters a lot of “food” these days to chew on. DAMN, you all are some ugly and nasty BITCHES who post here. I feel dirty just being on this site reading some of these posts. But hey, knock yourselves out. Freedom of speech and all that.

  23. nate says:

Everybody is talking about Cleopatra, but does anybody have the right information?

  24. Chrissy says:

    anon – too funny.

I think she would be great as Maleficent! Sleeping Beauty was my fav as a kid … I can definitely see Angie playing that part.

  25. OC lady says:

@Kaiser. They zoomed in on the tat @ zaptoit So far they think it either says Mister Brad or Whiskey and Beer? Hmmm . . . very interesting.

    Here’s the link: http://blog.zap2it.com/thedishrag/2010/07/angelina-jolies-new-tattoo-is-for-brad-but-whats-it-say-the-dish-rag-investigates.html

  26. DJ says:

    Probably says “Move Over James”

  27. Cheyenne says:

Can anyone blow up that photo and get a close-up of the tattoo? You can’t even read the thing. I have the magazine and I can’t decipher it either.

@nate: I have a feeling Cleopatra is one remake that will never get remade.

  28. Bite me says:

    The says haters hate on…

  29. Mrs Odie 2 says:

@gillie, I seriously doubt Ms. Jolie has female friends. She needs to have every man in the room dying of lust for her. It doesn’t endear one to the wives or girlfriends.

  30. ctkat says:

Angelina as “Maleficent” would be magnificent- she’d own that role, and she can do campy and evil really well.

I can’t believe she and Tim Burton haven’t worked together yet- it does seem really perfect.

  31. carrie says:

i read “wiskey & beers” so if the one & only manner for sexing with him ,why not!

  32. Liana says:

People stating their opinions are hot necessarily “haters” (I HATE that word). they are simply people expressing their opinions.

I could see her doing a Tim Burton film. Easily. She’d be great. I would like to see her do something a little lighter, though.

  33. BOb_gO says:

Well, if the leading actress feels silly when doing her own movie, wonder who watches it! She is the kind that doesn’t make a hit with substance. I’m sorry but I can’t spend my money on that.

  34. pamela says:

Liana, do you really think the nasty, slanderous comments from anon #19 is her “stating her opinion”? And like you, I don’t like the word “hater”, and don’t usually use it.

Anyway, this site is too toxic for me. I now remember why I stopped visiting and posting her.

    CIAO!!

  35. Dani says:

No one forced you to read the comments, pamela. Grow up, not everyone likes Angelina the way you do.

  36. Rita says:

And some of these type negative bitter comments on a Sunday from the religious crowd, WOW.

Angelina loves Brad, Brad loves Angelina, that is obvious, and this has some here climbing up the walls in frustration and anger. Why oh why I ask are some so invested in the lives of those they do not even know?

Yes they have been together like 5.5 years (a year more than Brad’s marriage some of you still worship lasted so they must be doing something right), have 6 kids, and are never apart more that three days in that time. Angelina says they need each other and are totally connected. So for those with miserable lives the fact that Angelina has found the love of her life in Brad, and Brad has found the love of his life in Angelina, is rubbing your sores raw again. Your personal hurt really shows in some of your comments.

Angelina’s interviews have always been quite honest and she gives answers to questions posed to her. Now while strangers on the internet who have never met don’t like her answers, or her private life, or her films, interviewers uniformly say she is so smart, so reflective, so real, so sweet and kind to them, so humble, a truly gifted actress, and one of the best celebs to talk with.

This site has become an extension of one of the worst sites UK Female First where bitter miserable evil thinking women congregate and say the most awful lies and things about this woman and her family because of whom she loves and is loved by.

Sad because the bloggers here are mostly fair in their treatment of Angelina and Brad.

Only infantile irrational jealous bitter damaged psychologically women attack other women as some of you routinely attack Angelina. There is no logical reason to explain attackers behavior.

  37. Cindy B says:

I’m Angela-Neutral. I just think it’s weird that before she was always so tight-lipped about her personal life and especially about Brad; their exact relationship in particular. Now, in every interview she’s “I love Brad” and “Brad, Brad, Brad”. I truly hope it’s real love they share (why would anyone wish hate?) but it’s just weird to me.

  38. Liana says:

Opinions are not always pleasant and people are not always pleasant. But that’s just the way life is. And frankly, it is a bit hypocritical to make a comment like “DAMN, you all are some ugly and nasty BITCHES who post here” whilst protesting the way someone else is being commented on.

  39. Cheyenne says:

    @Pamela: Hold the door.

  40. Dhavy says:

Women will always make nasty comments about other women and I count myself on that one…sadly but true

Anyway, always liked her even before she became really more famous for being with Brad than for her work.

  41. Larissa says:

@Pamela : what the hell are you checking on a blog called celebitchy for ?????

I think it reads something starting with W and then Boss??? Boss would definitely be my guess!!!!!

  42. Hepzibah says:

If that thigh tat was really for Brad, she should have had it done upside down so he could read it while… well, you know.

  43. Cruisin Through says:

HA!! The people complaining about nasty comments about Angelina are usually the ones MAKING them about Aniston and can’t see their own hypocrisy. They’re both talented in their own and very different ways. Why hate anyone you don’t know? Neither have any bearing on anyone’s life here.

  44. Maritza says:

Of course she’s going to talk about Brad she wants everyone (who hates her) especially JA to read it and weep.

  45. Jag says:

The woman is so gorgeous. Not so sure about Salt, though. The preview I saw wasn’t very good; more like she didn’t know what she was supposed to be doing in the scene or something. And I’m an Angelina-as-action-star fan.

  46. canadianchick says:

@hepzibah-heeeheee good one! Men do need directions sometimes…

  47. Camille says:

That is one gorgeous looking woman.

  48. Emily says:

@Cruisin Through, both sides of the Jolie/Aniston war are as bad as each other. Both hypocritical, blind to the faults of their chosen goddess, all still obsessed with a marriage that ended years ago.

  49. sodifficulttopost says:

O.o You please stop fighting for such a frivolity! This woman is not even the worst person in the world, and is far from being the best ones… Celebrities don’t deserve this effort! You are so blind… this woman is nothing more than a good life millionaire that make charity for any reason that doesn’t care. Let she does what she wants, simple like that… There are millions of women who are more interesting/talented/beautiful than her! Have you seen the girlfriend of Iker Casillas, for example? Lose the passion a little bit. Look for others… things ;P

  50. Liana says:

Actually, Cruisin, what really irks me is that those who are so angry about the bitter attacks on their favorite celebs often do so by bitterly attacking as well. Comments like “DAMN, you all are some ugly and nasty BITCHES,” “infantile irrational jealous bitter damaged psychologically women,” “bitter miserable evil thinking women,” “those with miserable lives,” are really no better than some of the vitriolic comments aimed at Angelina Jolie. Do I like reading meanspirited comments? No, usually not. But I like it even less when reading meanspirited comments written by people who are standing on a self made pedestal protesting to the masses about the horrific behaviors of others whilst doing the exact same thing. Irony.

  51. iheartlasagne says:

Blah Blah Blah whatever, same old argument as the past however long…Blahhhhh. Personally I love her, I don’t hate Aniston (indifferent) and Brad’s fine by me as well. Lots of people who have been on both sides of a ‘love triangle’ for lack of a better term identify with one or the other of these women, usually Aniston obviously. But again I say No One but those 3 know exactly what happened and it really doesn’t matter anymore does it? I think everyone has pretty much moved on (that doesn’t mean forgiven or forgotten of course). Ugh, I’m making myself ill, that’s enough of that. All I really wanted to say was that she looks amazing in those pics. The one thing I can’t get is people who say she’s ugly. You don’t like her, fine. You think she’s a homewrecker, ok. Whatever. But how could anyone say she’s ugly? Too skinny yes, but she’s not the only too skinny person in the world either. But if you are just talking about attractiveness, Her features are so symmetrical and work so well together, her bone structure is fantastic…If she’s had work done (surgery or photoshop) I commend the artist. Goddamn I just think she is so gorgeous. OK, now that I got that out of my system I can go about my life again, which doesn’t include habitual posting on this site (anymore). Au revoir!

  52. YeaRight!!! says:

    The Tattoo says:

    William Bradley Pitt

As the one that said Billy Bob on her arm.

The “H” on her wrist was for Timothy Hutton.

The one on her backside at one time was for Johnny Lee Miller.

Of course, all but the H is gone.

Now she states the H was for her brother James Haven. Just one of her other lovers.

  53. sassenach says:

Sorry # 45, You are incorrect. The tattoo is not Brad’s name and the H has always been for her brother.

  54. mojoman says:

I am on ground Neutral but I admire her humanitarian/charity efforts and (regardless if there is a hidden agenda somewhere). But as an actress, she sucks big time.

  55. My2Cents says:

Far out. She just gets hoter and hoter by the day.

  56. Cruisin Through says:

@Emily-I agree and wasn’t taking one side over the other. This story just happens to be about Jolie. The more “outraged” people are about what is said, the nastier they generally are about the other one. The weirdos and fanatics are on both sides.

  57. freckles says:

Wow… with a woman as flawlessly beautiful as Angie, is it really necessary to photoshop her to hell? That last pic is barely even recognizable

  58. Theresa says:

An interesting little web article on Jolie’s proclamations of taking a break from acting:

USA TODAY takes a look at Jolie’s acting declarations.

What she said: In the August 2010 issue of Vanity Fair, Jolie discussed her plans to ditch her day job. “It’s not the most important thing in my life. Acting helped me as I was growing up. It helped me learn about myself, helped me travel, helped me understand life, express myself, all those wonderful things,” she said. “So I’m very, very grateful, it’s a fun job. It’s a luxury. Look, I’m at work today in the middle of Venice. But I don’t think I’ll do it much longer.”

What’s in the works: Super-producer Scott Rudin has optioned the rights to Cleopatra: A life and is developing the film for and with Angelina Jolie.

What she said: In November 2008, while promoting her Clint Eastwood film Changeling, Jolie told the BBC that “I’m ready to do a few things now and fade away and get ready to be a grandma one day.” She added that she plans to “work for a few months” in February, then take a year off. “I won’t work again probably for another year,” she said. “So maybe it’ll be once a year, then maybe it’ll be once every three years.”

What went down: She did take time off, but not a year. Since that interview, Jolie filmed two major, big-ticket projects, the action thriller Salt and the drama The Tourist. She began shooting Salt in March 2009, and The Tourist in Venice and Paris beginning in February 2010.

What she said: In March 2007, right after adopting her son Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, she told Vietman’s Ho Chi Minh City Law newspaper that she would “stay at home to help Pax adjust to his new life. I have four children and caring for them is the most important thing for me at the moment. I am very proud and happy to be their mother.”

What went down: Days after the adoption was finalized, Universal Pictures announced that Jolie would be starring in the action flick Wanted. Jolie arrived in the Czech Republic in May 2007 to start work on the movie.

    Food for thought, people.

  59. CB Rawks says:

@Rita, I absolutely agree with you. Well said.
And if you comment that an attack is irrational, the attacker turns on you like a schoolyard feral. They derive some level of happiness in hoping desperately that this famous stranger is actually not happy, and they don’t want to be distracted.
I hope all the famous strangers are happy, except the ones that should be in prison. That’s my stance.

  60. purelife says:

Angelina said before, she will never be stupid again to write a man’s name on her skin just like BBT. So maybe the tattoo is not a name but rather a phrase or code.

  61. Freya says:

    #12 (sara)

Okay, you go see Inception, I go see SALT.

  62. ko says:

Her performance in The Changeling was pheno. Hope her newer projects will work out.

  63. Ogechi says:

I have seen few of her movies and none excited me. I honestly cannot fathom the noise about her!!!

She would always have tattoo to celebrate all the married men she slept with. Brat isn’t the first, is he?

I truly wonder the kind of role model she is to those kids with tattoos of different married men all over her body. Its sad.

  64. lisa says:

Boy.. I was wondering where all the Mean girls (cough women) had gathered..

It is just beyond reason that a bunch of women find such joy behind a computer screen in attacking and saying the most disgusting things about a woman that has done nothing to them personally. Has done nothing to change, hinder or interfer in their personal lives whatsoever.

Well we all know what happened to the those catty girls in middle school and high school.. They grew and got a computer and logged onto this website.

And somebody said women have not progressed..

Enjoy you inter bitch.. Angelina I am sure at this moment is enjoying her family. I guess if the prices she has to pay for the life she has is to have some unknown women on a blog saying nasty things about her. Well I still think she comes out on top..
    ******************

A fan aways. and can’t wait to see her rock it in SALT.. OPENING ON JULY 23rd..

  65. Ogechi says:

Oh i forgot to advice Angelina please keep your mouth on silent..dont talk about Brad..dont talk about your children…dont talk about your tatoos..dont talk about cutting yourself..dont talk about Shiloh wanting to be a boy…hello we have heard enough….

  66. LOVE ANGELINA says:

The only thing I care about is that Angie is gonna do more movies. I always thought she should work with Tim Burton. Always. I really hope that happens, it would be epic. Angelina is still sooo effing gorgeous and we discussed that on Twitter how Angie is still hawt as ever. Plus Angelina still does her own stunts. I just adore this woman. I can’t wait for Salt. Brad is a lucky man thats all I can say.

  67. LindaR says:

No matter what the tattoo says (another cheezy tattoo, but she still has a lot of skin to cover so I’m sure there will be more) it won’t say anything when she is 70 years old. It will be a smeared, unreadable, blobby mess lost in wrinkled skin. Think hard about what tattoos and piercings will begin to look like as you age, before you get one. You might think that you won’t care what you look like at 70+ years old, but you would be wrong. Especially if you are female.

  68. snowball says:

All of you who whine about the mindless worshippers, whine about the insane haters, whine about the cruel and heartless websites that house them all and are stomping your feet threatening to leave..

Babies. You’ll be back, don’t pee your pants and say you won’t. You’re reading this now, you know you are.

I’m in Jolie fatigue, just like I’m in Aniston fatigue when she’s got a movie coming out, but they do all these interviews, so they make news, most of it moronic.

The only thing that continues to annoy me is the Scarpetta thing. I’d be really pissed about it if Cornwell were still writing good Scarpetta books, but I still can’t figure out what brain-dead moron thought Angelina would be a good fit to play Kay Scarpetta, no matter what age they dumbed her down into. What a disaster this one’s going to be.

  69. mln says:

Angelina Jolie is a movie star why do people take her so seriously and weigh her quotes as if she was the head of state. I mean I am as guilty as anyone else on this site but some of these comments are over the top.

  70. DD says:

I don’t get some of you complaining about the vileness of the posts on here. There are barely any vile comments here, most of them are just freaking out about the 1 or 2 truly offensive comments. If you want to be offended by comments, go to a Lindsay Lohan post that has far higher ratio of hatred vs positive comments than a celebitchy AJ post will ever have.

  71. denise says:

    I’m so over Angelina.

  72. jessica says:

    Whiskey Bar??

  73. phlyfiremama says:

Love Angelina! I am looking forward to Salt. She has most definitely had her issues in the past, havn’t we all? Kettle, meet Pot. You 2 will get along great. People change. Its HOW you/they change that make the difference. Angelina has take the bad stuff in her life and transmuted it into a life well lived-her charity work is inspiring, her adoptions give children much better lives, and her endless fascination has attracted a mate who seems to actively want to share these things with her. Ultimately, everybody wins-even JA, who STILL gets more press due to this situation than she ever has for any of her acting. I have been an Angelina fan since Gia, and will continue to be so.

  74. weslyn says:

although i’ve liked some of her movies (my fave was the one with her and antonio banderas)..it’s just something about her that seems so haughty and not at all down to earth..the triangle mess was a while ago but i feel like she always finds a way to throw salt in an old wound…not very polite or ladylike in my opinion and rings of desperation

  75. Chick says:

I come to this site because I enjoy the bloggers and like their take on the current Hollywood gossip. And then I read some of the comments and laugh at how ridiculous it is how some of these readers are so involved in the lives of these people. Whether you love or hate them…why do you feel the need to either insult them or defend them???!!! Who gives a shit?? It’s entertainment…you really shouldn’t take it so seriously!!!

  76. Kim says:

The tattoo says “Im An Egomaniac”

  77. Crash2GO2 says:

I thought she was good in ‘Bone Collector’ and ‘Gia’. Those are the only movies of hers I’ve seen.

This is just a thought. I have no personal knowledge if this is a possibility or not, but if her tattoo is “Whiskey Beer”, maybe it is “airplane control-tower lingo” for Brad’s initials “WB”. You know, the way the control tower speaks to the airplanes, and instead of saying AW9, they’d say “alpha, whiskey, niner” . . . and like the way the police talk to the dispatcher? Maybe it’s just a private joke between BP and AJ and she calls him Whiskey Beer?

“Salt” looks awful. I looked at some of the clips from the Pajiba site that was linked here and they are TERRIBLE. It looks like, as Pajiba puts it, a budget Jason Bourne movie.

Anyway, I don’t understand the hullabaloo over this woman. She isn’t a particularly good actress like Angela Basset or Meryl Streep. She looks like an alien and has big, weird lips (Thanks, SNL) that look weird on her face and look odd when she speaks.

I pray to whatever God Tim Burton believes in to NOT put her in a movie playing my favorite Disney villain of all time. All she’ll do is overact. Maleficent is supposed to look angular and pointy and long. Angelina’s head is a big box with her manly jaw.

Whiskey Bravo… military talk for W. B. which are Brad’s real first two initials.

Thanks Chessie, I was kinda riveted on “beer” and couldn’t come up with the military word for “b” in my head (bravo)but that’s what I was trying to say.
