Lindsay Lohan set to majorly cash in after rehab stay with book, endorsements, more

Lindsay Lohan’s enabling mom was on the Today Show this morning to blame Lindsay’s very real issues on everyone else, as usual. While Dina is bitching and moaning about Lindsay’s abbreviated jail sentence and rehab follow-up (which is also likely to be cut short), this entire episode might be the best thing to happen to Lindsay’s flailing career since she f’ed it all up with multiple DUIs three years ago. We’ve already heard that she stands to make 1/2 a million for her first post-jail/rehab interview, but she also stands to cash in multiple other ways. Lindsay has been all over the place lately and seemed to have done photoshoots and interviews nonstop before she was locked up. She made a lot of money from that, according to In Touch and is about to make much more. They report that she could even get “comeback” roles offered. I hope that’s not true:

“Lindsay has been offered multi million-dollar deals for when she gets out,” a business associate of the starlet tells In Touch. “Directors are now looking to her as a possible comeback and she is getting so many offers compared to before she was sent to jail – movies, TV shows, shoots, magazine and TV interviews…

“Lindsay is so confident that she is going to profit after this that she was looking at homes to buy before she was sent to jail… She was hurting for money, but now she sees this situation as an opportunity. She hopes to make as much money as possible and is considering every offer she gets.”

[From In Touch, print edition, August 23, 2010]

As partial evidence of this, Lindsay appears in some new Facebook application she shot the videos for before her jail stint. It’s called “cameostars” and lets you send celebrity video messages to your friends, like “Happy Birthday,” Facebook pokes, and other greetings. Other stars featured include Reggie Bush, Tony Romo and Carmen Electra. It seems pretty dumb, especially when you consider that the “celebrities” don’t have a lot of fans. The content is bland too. (You can watch some of Lindsay’s “cameostars” videos here. The one for the troops is nice. )

In Touch also has a breakdown of Lindsay’s recent paychecks by project. She got $50,000 for shooting Marc Ecko’s campaign, $25,000 for the cover of Maxim and her 6126 stripper leggings line is doing well, with store Kitson placing a recent $15,000 order.

Mike Walker reports in this week’s National Enquirer that Lindsay is writing a prison diary and that her ex, Samantha Ronson, is trying to help her find a ghostwriter to put it out. We’ve heard this before, and I bet there’s something to this story. Walker writes that Lohan is going to chronicle her jail stay “hour by hour” including “the horrors of going to the bathroom with absolutely no privacy.” It sounds just like Lindsay to think we’ll be interested in boring details. She probably thinks we’ll feel sorry that she had to pee around other people as punishment. It hardly sounds fair that she ultimately had to serve a whole 13 days for two DUI incidents with passengers in the car.

We’ve heard that Lindsay is deep in debt, and all these opportunities may help her try and wiggle out of her financial mess. I doubt she’ll make the effort to pay off the alleged 1/2 a million she owes on credit cards, though. Unless she changes as a person, she’s going to remain a self-entitled twit who squanders away all her chances and money. I see her digging another nice big hole for herself once she has a taste of freedom.

Actress Lindsay Lohan s father Michael Lohan and his girlfriend arrived at the Beverly Hills Court house on July 20, 2010 moments before his daughter arrived with her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley to face the crowd of media and fans waiting for her to be sentenced to do jail time. This morning Judge Marsha Revel ordered Lohan to jail and said there would be no electronic monitoring or house arrest that could reduce her 90-day sentence. Judge Marsha Revel had the cameras turned off when it came time to cuffing Lindsay and taking her off to her new temporary home. Outside the court house fans screamed and protested Lindsay s freedom. Fame Pictures, Inc

I’m pretty sure it’d be more tormenting to have to be one of the bystanders of Lindsay peeing.

  3. Sumodo1 says:

So, who does all this booking for her? Orange Oprah?

Does Linds still have an agent and a manager after all this?

  4. Jean says:

This is ridiculous. She does not deserve to be rewarded for all the stunts she has pulled. A 45-day stay in rehab is unlikely to have solved any of her underlying issues and problems.
On top of that, I refuse to give her the benefit of the doubt, why would this stay in rehab be any different from the previous ones? Also, a prison diary? It should be titled “My too short stay in prison: How the color of the walls changes after staring at them for 24 hours – but I remain the same.”
    Ugh. Sorry for the rant.

  5. Leek says:

Uuugh…I just don’t think she, nor her mother, or sister, or father deserve yet another chance.

Give these endorsements/roles to people that work hard and deserve it them.

  6. LindyLou says:

Ugh…there is no one less deserving of making this boatload of cash than Lindsay. There is no justice in the celebrity world.

But ITA with CB that she will probably squander the money and opportunity to actually turn her life around. She’ll probably OD once she’s left to her own devices.

  7. ams511 says:

how much will people pay to hear about her stint in rehab she didn’t need?

she was in jail for 15 mins. big deal.

  8. jen says:

Her book will be comparative to “Deep Thoughts” by Jack Handey.

  9. moe says:

LOL@ the ppl that had to watch her pee thats a story Id read

Do these people making these offers really think the public wants to see LL in anything? Im so sick of looking at her pics Ive had to Adblock most of them, she’s just…GROSS.
I think they’re in for a rude awakening when they realize we only pay attention to these stories for the laughs. I dont see anyone actually caring or liking her enough to want or pay for anything she’s in.
Should be some fun reads ahead about how all these projects flop and lose money.
I think it would be more appreciated by the public if someone would just pay her to go away and stay out of the public eye.

Wouldn’t purchase any thing from or about the Lowhan family even from the discount bin at BigLots.
    Trash is trash.

  11. Rolando says:

What a fucking bitch! Nothing but shit in the brain, alcohol and drugs in their blood and a fat cock in her mouth. A few days in jail and she needs a care team. I have ever seen such a miserably bitch like Lindsay!!!!

  12. Lucy says:

Yup, give an addict more money to waste. Up her nose.

I’ve been around a few coke heads and when they were all tweaked out, would make up these grand stories of what they were going to do with the next chunk of money they got.

Well, spoiler, it went up their damn nose!

(Yeah she’s maybe/maybe not on coke, whatever, I don’t care)

  13. gg says:

Hey let’s all go to California and break all the laws we possibly can so we can earn some damn money. Use her case as a precedent. @#$%#%$ @####!

  14. I rarely say anything bad about anyone but I honestly wish she would just disappear. I hate that the media keeps feeding her habits/delusions with money and attention.

  15. Jeri says:

C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A—D-R-E-A-M-I-N-G, thats what Lindsay & family are doing. She can’t leave the clubs in LA so if she goes to NY it will be a short stay.

  16. Marie says:

I refuse to buy a magazine with her on the cover or if there is an article about her. The only one I may consider buying is the one that has her overdosing.

  17. Cam says:

    That’s all I can say.

  18. Hannah says:

She may do photo shoots and be offered endorsements but I doubt that she could obtain the insurance necessary to film a movie. When Robert Downey Jr. was released from jail he was completely uninsurable. His first post prison film project was with Mel Gibson who underwrote the insurance himself. Once RDJ proved himself things then turned around.

  19. serena says:

Oh my.. I don’t stand her, that’s true but I hope she comes to her sense one day of another because she has destruct her life and that’s the time to go back and do right (I hope). No more mess.

  20. Green Is Good says:

Mommy Dearest here is no doubt fleecing her own daughter for every penny she can get. The Blow and hair extensions don’t pay for themselves.

  21. nag says:

she was told that would happen..why else would she do this?.. oh other than being a fool..

  22. Per says:

Witch hunt! – That’s what all this has been. The media has been imploding with nonsense created by other media, endlessly reported and twisted then re-reported, twisted some more and so on. Nobody fact-checks anymore. They’ll print anything for a few dollars more. Scandals sells so they create one out of nothing.

The facts of course are rather boring…

No addiction to drugs. No stunts during probation (she did lose her passport in Cannes). Too much drinking and partying a few years ago that’s true. Two DUI’s as well. Cocaine found in her car after the second, true as well, but only alcohol was found in her blood. She was not doing coke when she crashed.

Lindsay popping pills in the morning? – True, but nothing illegal. She was since childhood on a bunch of prescription drugs to treat ADHD, anxiety, depression and reflux.

Sure she was at clubs all the time but nobody bothered to check if she was partying or was there for some other reason. Samantha Ronson – ring a bell? – Turns out Lindsay was only supporting her girlfriend when she was playing those clubs.

Nobody actually managed to get shots of Lindsay drinking alcohol or doing drugs despite a massive tabloid reward for such pics. They got so desperate that they had people tripping her when she left clubs (to get ‘stumbling drunk’ pics) or throw powdered sugar on her (to make it look like she had spilled cocaine during a binge).

Poor Lindsay. The media wanted her to fail more than anything. They reported that she was about to fail and then reported it some more and more again, making it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The rehab will not cure anything because there’s nothing to cure. It will however give her a much needed break away from all the media and their negative reporting. Hopefully she’ll come out stronger from all of this. She’s smart and very talented so I’m sure she’ll bounce back, possibly through a book viciously attacking the media and the people who kept rooting for her to fail; in particular her insane father needs to be put in his place (6 feet under?). He has been a driving force in inventing the whole drug abuse thing, doing his best to hurt her. He is of course just trying to get back at her after Lindsay found out he was stealing her money and using them to commit fraud, and reported him to the police, resulting in him going to jail for quite some time. He didn’t like that (really?) and decided on ruining her career. I hope Lindsay tears him a new one and make sure he doesn’t get up again. He’s a bad man on every level and needs to be treated as such.

Lindsays mom needs some applauding here. She has been at her daughters side every step of the way, as has her sister Aliana. They kept her sane, visiting her in jail and rehab, and without them I’m sure Lindsay would crashed and burned. So thanks and keep up the good work.

Please stop the witch hunt now! – Let Lindsay bounce back and be great once more. She’s insanely talented and very pretty so I doubt she can be kept down much longer. It helps if she can get vindictive celebrity-hating judges like Marsha Revel off her back which should be the case when she has finished rehab. So best of luck from here.

It’s like we’re back in the days of the Roman Gladiators, paying big bucks to watch someone die in some awful way. Because that’s what this is: A big horrendous trainwreck that will have at least one fatality. But boy, will people pay to watch it!!

  26. Amanda says:

Number 23: Dina?? You forgot to mention the “propaganda.”

  27. gretchen says:

@per…very nice, it does seem they come out of the woodwork to tear someone apart, makes you wonder what their lives are like, some of the comments are so low class as to be hysterically funny LOL talkin’ to you Ronaldo

  28. Lita says:

Don’t get me wrong, I find Per’s ivory version of truth to be as amusing as the next person .. But did we ever actually find out what the go was with all that baby powder or whatever it was in her shoes?? That was just strange.

  30. Innocent says:

I agree that the judge completely had it out for her.
The D.A was only asking for 30 days in jail so maybe the judge could have gave her 45 because she missed the hearing.
Were was the need or justification for rehab?
If the judge says you will be subject to random drug testing as part of your bail conditions and you don’t fail any drug tests. How is rehab even an option ?
Forget the prescriptions as that isn’t violating probation. She missed a few alcohol classes but still completed the program.
Rehab shouldn’t even have been an option.

I think more will come out about the judge and they will try and get the probation terms relaxed.
Formal probation when you didn’t fail any drug tests, the DUIs were 3 years ago and you still can’t drive.
What that judge done on July 6th was a DISGRACE.

Then she acts like she is doing Lindsay a favor by not allowing the cameras to see her being handcuffed when the truth is she doesn’t have to let cameras in the courtroom at all.

  31. Jean says:

    @Per & Innocent,
I’m still trying to figure out which one of you is Dina. Then again, you’re probably both Dina.
Yes, the big bad evil judge had a personal vendetta – she wanted to help Lindsay.
“Normal” people would’ve actually welcomed and appreciated the fact that someone tried to save their daughter, instead of watching her unravel to a certain death. But I reckon a sober/clean Lindsay is far more difficult to control and enable then a constantly drugged out one. A Lindsay Lohan, in her right mind, in her mid 20s, might even see through all the bullshit and the way she has been exploited by her “family” since early childhood. Not that this is any kind of excuse for her behavior, just an attempt at an explanation.

  32. Truthzbetta says:

That torso is so long, the fake everything is ug, pulling down her pants to show another area of unexpected freckles that looks like that Star Trek character with the neck spots from Deep Space 9 is not attractive in my book, and she looks unclean.

The belly button ring even looks infected. Seriously, her sex model days must end now.

  33. Innocent says:

I’m not Dina ok do you honestly think Lindsay still doesn’t have fans?

Whether or not the Judge wanted to “help” Lindsay she was way out of line.

I’m not saying Lindsay doesn’t need rehab people can form their own opinions on that.
There was absolutely no reason for the court ordered rehab.

The order to attend every week was sketchy when the program didn’t enforce it. Yes it stated it in her probation terms but the first time she missed a week in January nothing happened and no action was taken until May.
She missed a couple of classes and made them up. She still completed the program by the deadline of July 15th.

What was the point of setting all the bail conditions in May when she did everything she could be to rectify her mistakes during those 6 weeks and still got her sentence tripled?

If she is subject to random drug testing and doesn’t fail any there is no reason at all for the rehab.
Why should she be subject to formal probation when the DUIs were 3 years ago and she still can’t drive ?

This is how the judge tried to “help” Lindsay

    Tripled her jail sentence
90 days of rehab despite the fact she didn’t fail any drug tests
Formal probation – Almost guaranteeing her another jail sentence between now and August 8th 2011.

    1 final thing
It should have been rehab OR formal probation

If the Judge was so concerned/convinced that Lindsay had a problem then people relapse yet Lindsay will be punished even more severely if she does.

It is a toss up between Marsha N Revel & Rena K Uviller for the title of “Worst Judge Ever”

  34. hahahaha says:

    LOL@ Per and innocent..aka DINA

    and LMAO @
I’m not Dina ok do you honestly think Lindsay still doesn’t have fans?

There isnt a sane person who is a fan of LL’s, she’s nothing but a talentless tabloid joke known for her crackhead behavior. The only one more delusional about her ‘celebrity status’ is you.. Dina..aka..Per and Innocent.
Time for Dina to get a real job and let her cash cows attempt a normal life outside of the ‘spotlight’.
there wouldnt be any interest in this waste of air family if not for the fact the we find their delusional world hilarious to read about just for the giggles, wouldnt pay a penny for anything any of them are in, in fact Id boycott it.

  35. Shirley says:

I agree that we need to stop enabling Lindsay by giving her all this attention. I also agree that she doesn’t really “deserve” another chance. But I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life, too, and thank God I had people who loved me and never gave up on me. You can be disgusted at Lindsay, her antics, and her family all you like, but it’s horrible to wish for the death, misery, and failure of a young woman who still has plenty of time to turn her life around. It’s possible to hold her accountable and still be compassionate, you know. As for the judge, she could have brought the hammer down on Lindsay much harder than she did, so please stop trash-talking her as well.

  36. mia says:

Just alcohol in her system when she was busted for DUI. What idiot factory did you spawn from #23?

I like to think the judge did her fact checking, since she holds a public office and is subject to review.
LL lies and whines her way out of consequences, except for this judge this time.
The judge deserves congratulations. LL’s mom deserves to go back to the swamp she came from.

  37. Confuzzle says:

That hovering belly button is mesmorising.

Can someone bust her out soon? Hollywood is boring without Cracky running around.
