Sandra Bullock on baby Louie: “The poop schedule is pretty regular”

Though Sandra Bullock courageously put her personal issues aside to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Warren Easton Charter High School s medical clinic on Sunday August 29, 2010, the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, Louisiana her body revealed signs of dramatic weight loss most likely due to the strains of juggling motherhood, divorce and her career. Joined by senators Mary Landrieu, David Vitter and several of the school s educators, the altruistic actress spoke of the community s strength in the face of adversity after Hurricane Katrina and the impact that the school and it s clinic will have on those in need in the financially-unstable city. Bullock looked beautiful and dignified, but noticeably skinnier, raising concern over her health in the aftermath of a year where she weathered her own hurricane of scandal, deceit, and sadness mixed in with the joy of adopting a baby and winning the Oscar for Best Actress Fame Pictures, Inc

Yesterday, we previewed some of the quotes from Sandra Bullock’s Today Show interview, in which she sounded very strong and very much like a woman rejecting everyone’s pity. What I didn’t know is that she did the interview with a dude sitting right beside her – a dude named Arthur who runs the Warren Easton Charter School, which Bullock has been involved with for years. Here’s the interview, and I’ll do some quotes below:

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

On baby Louis: Louis’s got the stage. No one understands the shift in priorities about having a child in your life that you are responsible for, until you have a child in your life. It naturally shifts. It just shifted the first day I met him. It was like he’d been there the whole time, yet everything was different.

On Louis dancing:Oh, he likes to celebrate. He likes to dance and celebrate. You know what, I got blessed. I got lucky. He’s extraordinary.

On the adoption:As sterile as the room seemed, it felt so rich.”

On Louie’s bowel movements: The poop schedule is pretty regular… you brought it up, I’d like to share it with America. He has a healthy poop schedule.”

There are additional quotes/transcripts at Today, here.

I think Sandra is coming across very well here – she seems healthy and like she’s already moved on. Sure, there’s some sadness in her eyes and in her voice, and I think that’s why she seems to go on and on about integrity – this is a girl who had her heart broken, very, very badly. But she’s not going to cry about Jesse James for the world – she’s not that girl.

  8. Attagirl says:

What an amazing woman, to go from the worst kind of trashy, publicly humiliating break-up to being filled with love and light and joy. To all those cracked out, lying divas and wannabe starlets who continually parade their feckless, messy, useless lives for a buck: THIS IS HOW IT’S DONE – BE A CLASS ACT ALL THE WAY.

  9. K-MAC says:

Now this is a class act woman!!!! I cannot imagine how much hurt she went through, but damn if she isn’t incredible!

Jesse James is a douche and he continues to prove this to the world!

Sandra Bullock is an exceptional person and she will continue to have a fantastic life! I am so happy that she is finally a mom 🙂

  10. Me says:

I love her, she’s so genuine and is a really good person.

  11. lucy2 says:

I saw most of the interview this morning, and she came across as very down to earth and genuine. The school program she’s been working with sounds great, and I wish her the best.

  12. Katie says:

She is truly classy. And likable with a good sense of humor. Louis is SO cute. I also love that she adopted an American baby and is bringing light to issues of poverty here. Not that it’s not great that people like Angelina do things on a more global scale, but it seems like not enough celebrities talk about the problems we have here and how to start fixing them.

  13. K-MAC says:

I had to watch the clip a second time…..I really really like this woman. I am so glad she has the support that she does!

  14. She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named says:

She’s great and really really smart, love her.

Did that female journalist call her “delicious”??!! Is that the same woman who touched Brad Pitt’s hair?
Is she on ecstasy or something? lol.

  15. lucy2 says:

Anne Curry, yup the same one who very inappropriately touched Pitt’s face that time. Seriously, I don’t know what her deal is, but as soon as she called Sandra “delicious” this morning, I thought, OK that will be on The Soup this week!

  16. I love Sandra and this is only making me love her more.

  17. California Surfer says:

Sadly, the little dudes poop schedule is more interesting than Sandra Bullock.

  18. original kate says:

ann curry seems more like a stalker than a journalist.

  19. Shy says:

Every time another celebrity gracefully breaking up… And every time you remember Jennifer “She’s been throw a lot” Aniston and her 5 year pity party. And how everyone were calling her so brave and how gracefully she was hanging on right after split.

Reese Witherspoon was over her divorce in couple of weeks, Susan Sarandon is o’k, Halle Berry still talks with her ex and go out with daughter and him together. Sandra doesn’t cry. She goes to tv and says: “Guys, i’m Ok. I’ve moved on. Stop the tabloids buzz. I’m happy”….

And then you have Aniston who still lives in the shadow of split. And there are still people who feel sorry for her. Problem with Aniston and her tabloid fame is that she should have come out in interview and say direct: “People – i have moved on. I haven’t speak to my ex Brad for years. I don’t call him at nights, we don’t hook up in hotels. We have moved on and don’t believe that tabloids silly stories. I forgot about him 5 years ago…”

But still those tabloid covers come out every week and she ignores them. She should say things like that numerous of times and then it would die. But she still looks so depressed like that split happened two weeks ago.

Sandra handles it gracefully. Tiger Woods wife handled it gracefully. They don’t throw pity party. They moved on. And i can only imagine how things would roll with Jennifer if the Tiger/Jesse situation would happen to Brad Pitt. Can you imagine the size of the pity party if one by one 5 or 6 mistresses would came out back then? 🙂

  20. Aqua says:

Sandra is one classy person with a sense of humor.I wish nothing but the best for both her and Louis.

  21. spinner says:

I thought something was off about Sandra when she initially married Jesse James. Me thinks she has got some skeletons in her closet.

  22. Diane says:

Like everyone else, I just love her.

  23. meme says:

Did Jennifer Aniston have to be inserted into this post?

  24. skibunny says:

#19 no one gets over a divorce in a couple of weeks unless they have no heart. You obviously have a problem with Jennifer Aniston. Perhaps you should get over her divorce.

  25. fugly says:

she looks stunning in the today show still-she just gets more and more beautiful (inside and out)! lucky her.

p.s. leave that JA out of this post. we are sick. and. tired. of hearing her about her and her stale news and boring life. she can’t hold a candle to SB’s accomplishments.

  26. dj says:

Ditto Katie. Love how Sandra has conducted herself throughout this whole mess. I think she has a backbone of steel and would not want to be on her bad side. That being said I respect that immensely. She has proven how a strong and independent woman conducts herself throughout tragic circumstances. Thank you S.B. for being so scrappy!

  27. Barbara says:

She’s so amazing! Funny , smart and down to earth… My fav celeb and actor

  28. OC lady says:

I think it’s only natural people compare her w/Aniston as we’ve been hearing about that divorce forever! It was just this year that People did a cover titled, “Jen: 5 years after Brad!,” which Aniston didn’t protest, and then she talked about having “a 5 year spring cleaning.” One moved on and the other keeps referencing her divorce.

It just shows what a class act Sandra is–she isn’t having a pity party for public sympathy. She has my total respect. More power to her. 🙂

  29. canadianchick says:

She’s the coolest. That is all.

  30. nnn says:

The reason why people come up with jennifer Aniston is that even if it’s perfectly understandable to mourn a divorce, in real life, the death of a marriage is over when you date someone else, you enter a new path in your life when you began to date someone else.

In the case of jennifer Aniston, the media and her always refer to the death of herself act like she mourn it like a widow during all those years, like it is the last and recent relationship she had, like all the ones post her divorce didn’t even exist, like they didn’t have any effect positive or negative on her journey in life, like she has been emotionally comatose during all this time. ects…like there is a hole of 5 years froien in time.

That’s it total over the top and a pathological behaviour. You mourn your ex ex ex, ex….ex one and are questioned about that pain but never about the last one who supposedly is the one that should affect you more ? Please !

Those women like sandra, Elin or others when they will date next and get into a new relationship will seal the end of the former one and celebrate the birth of a new chapter in their life….just like for everyone. that’s the normal, sane healthy way things are.

  31. Jeri says:

Yup, Sandra brings it! Anne Curry can be a little weird.

  32. Camille says:

OC lady & nnn: Ditto. Great comments, couldn’t agree with you girls more.

  33. Sassy says:

    LOVE her. So classy!

PS: Why is Jennifer Aniston’s name being brought up?

  34. Rosanna says:

    I love Sandra!!!

  35. SSkinner says:

Sandra Bullock – YES YES YES
Ann Curry – NO NO NO NO

  36. Gypsy says:

Sandra is a pretty classy lady, I just could never figure out how she crossed paths with Jesse, and that made me suspect her, but I was wrong suspect her, even classy people sometimes trust in the wrong people.

    My highest compliment:
Sandra you are a good human being

  37. cutelittlehappything says:

I am SO HAPPY the poop schedule is regular! I was up all night worrying about that! Praise the Lord!

  38. mrsodie2 says:

Judging by the comments above, people are willing to forgive her for “Speed 2, Cruise Control,” and maybe even “Miss Congeniality 2.” Miracles happen.

You think you would never talk about or care about baby poop, then it happens to you. I’m with you, Sandy.

  39. Stronzilla says:

    Baby Louie must eat Activia.

  40. lolo says:

    God I love her.

  41. the queen of the fluffs says:

i think it’s expected for her to be sad. her marriage crumbled due to infidelity and she’s a single mom. i think she is handling the whole thing very well.

on another hand, i would never wanna be a mom. discussing a poop schedule? ’tis boring!
