Well well well. Looks like Star Magazine got the scoop and People Magazine confirmed it – Colin Farrell is officially back on the market. People’s source confirms that Colin and his Polish baby-mama Alicja Bachleda are over, and have been done for “several months.” Once again, this is People Magazine, so this has been nailed down. It’s official. There’s a single Irishman who is looking to get someone pregnant. Me! Pick me! Over here, Colin!
Colin Farrell quietly split from his actress girlfriend Alicja Bachleda several months ago, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
The two are parents to a son Henry Tadeusz Farrel, who was born last year. Farrell is also dad to 7-year-old son, James, with model Kim Bordenave.
Bachleda, 27 and Farrell, 34, met on the set of last year’s Ondine, which they costarred in. At the premiere, Bachelda told PEOPLE of their romance: “We were very professional and focused on our part and our jobs. The story itself is so beautiful … we really didn’t have time to get our true emotions [on screen].”
Farrell’s camp had no comment on the split. The actor has been busy filming back-to-back movies recently.

Is it sad? Sure. I do have sympathy for Alicja, and I worry that she thought she had scored a big Hollywood actor and that this was all going to be some enchanted love story, and it just wasn’t. I actually thing Colin loses interest in women very quickly, and as I stated previously, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Colin and Alicja had broken up even back when they were promoting Ondine (they both looked over it), and I hope it was more of a “they grew apart” thing than a “Colin a womanizing dirt bag” thing. However, if they’ve been broken up for months and we’re just hearing about it now, that’s good, right? That means Colin hasn’t been out there, boning everything that moves (his usual M.O.). Of course, it could also mean that Colin had a jumpoff ready and he’s been quietly boning her for months. Star Magazine did claim he was making out with Agyness Deyn. Ugh.

There is such a thing as using birth control responsibly, we’re not living in the middle ages. Colin has a reputation that preceeds him. Any woman who gets involved with him knows what she’s getting into. Besides, in my opinion, he is a walking ad for using protection against STDs.

@ Courtney: How about a condom, depo provera, norplant, etc? The choice is endless. He is still young, but how about showing a little responsibility? To be honest I do not like girls who need to get pregnant to have a guy. Let’s be honest..Emma Forrest finished with C. Farrell for G. Globes 2009 and Alicja was already pregnant b/c baby was born in October 2009 so it means she was sleeping with him while he was dating Emma Forrest..so they were never a couple.

I do not know why this story keeps bothering me for the last few days. Maybe because I am Polish myself and I read what our tabloids are doing of her, witch-hunting and above all, good old polish chaden freude. Cannot stop feeling sorry for her: I do not think she is a gold digger(she comes from a wealthy family) and I do not believe that she got pregnant “for her career”, she acted for years before that, worked with famous directors, like Wajda, as eading female caracter (IMDB-her); and the role in “Ondine” she got based on her merits and NOT as somebody’s girlfriend.
The truth is that you have to be someone to really succeed in HOLLYWOOD and being somebody’s lover or girlfriend or even babymama is not enough. I am talking about real success and career in film industry and not just doing whatever on tv to earn few bucks to get by. Being somebody’s lover can be a starting point if you start from zero but not in her case.
I think she fell in love with him (and he really is very handsome and sexy) and they both got high and drunk, and they really miscalculated that one. Or her pill stopped working because she was taking it for too long or was living unhealthy, irregular life.
Baby or no baby, I think he broke her heart. She really loved him. Whenever they appeared together you could see she was intimidated, just as if she was insecure of him and unsure of herself, and that feeling only comes when you really care about somebody.
