What would you do if you found out your 20-something son was dating a woman who was older than you are? You’d freak out, right? Well the mother of Madonna’s latest boytoy, a 24 year-old dancer named Brahim, is doing just that. Brahim’s mom told the National Enquirer that her “mouth fell open” when her son called her and told her that he was in a relationship with 52 year-old Madonna. Brahim’s mom is 44, eight years younger than her son’s girlfriend. What’s more is that she’s a Muslim and isn’t happy that her son is dating someone outside their faith:
“My mouth fell open when I realized that my son was Madonna’s new boyfriend,” said 44-year-old Patricial Vidal. “I’m still trying to come to terms with it.”
Her son is professional dancer Brahim Zaibat, 24. He met the 52 year-old Material Girl in September when he performed at the launch of her and daughter Lourdes’ new clothing line in New York.
Madonna… reportedly made the first move, telling Brahim their astrological signs were compatible.
The two have since cuddled at dance clubs and indulged in a passionate makeout session at a London nightclub.
Meanwhile, Patricia – a divorced mother of four who lives in Lyon, France – said her son told her about his new girlfriend in a phone call, adding there was an eight-year age gap.
Patricia thought Brahim meant his lady friend was eight years older than him, but then he said: “No, she’s eight years older than you – and her name is Madonna.”
A stunned Patricia says: “Madonna was already a big star when I was a schoolgirl, let alone when Brahim was growing up. The whole situation is very strange.”
Brahim is a devout Muslim who shuns alcohol and cigarettes. Now his mom worries Madonna may lure him into a lifestyle that contradicts his religious beliefs.
“I certainly wouldn’t say we’re overjoyed by his relationship with a non-Muslim,” she said. “The fact that she’s Madonna doesn’t make things easier.”

Doesn’t this Brahim guy’s last name, Zaibat, remind you of “jailbait”? I know there’s no law against massive age differences once someone is of legal age, but 28 years is a lifetime. How does Madonna even land these young guys? That’s such a lame pickup line – “our signs are compatible,” but I guess she’s Madonna and doesn’t need to do more than crook her finger and the boys come running. Does Brahim’s mom know that Madonna is into Kabbalah? Madonna will probably get this kid to convert, she does that with all her boyfriends, and that will really throw his mom into a tizzy.

As others have said, it is the REASON behind it, (i.e. desperately trying to control/deny the fact that she is aging?) and not necessarily the fact that there is an age difference in and of itself.

I think Madonna’s behavior is sort of funny and also a little depressing. Her money buys her sexy, youthful company, but inside, she’s aware these boys are in for the short duration and a quick lucrative grab. She must have the confidence of a lion to live this way. A lot of people judge her, but I do think that people are jealous of the social perks her money buys her – that’s why everybody calls her “haggard” or “old lady”. Truth is, how many “old ladies” out there would do exactly what she’s doing given half the chance.
