Ugh. I’m so hungover I can barely concentrate on breathing, much less this Chris Brown story, which seems incredibly and unnecessarily complicated this morning. Apparently, Chris Brown totally went off on Raz-B yesterday, on Twitter. Raz-B is a member of B2K, and has publicly spoken about being a victim of molestation at the hands of his male cousin and former manager. Apparently, Raz-B started the whole thing by tweeting something about how he didn’t understand dudes like Chris and Eric Benet disrespecting women like Halle Berry and Rihanna. Oh, and he also alluded to the rumor (that I’ve never heard before) that Chris has aboyfriend. And then Chris Brown responded on Twitter with a litany of homophobic abuse. You know, because Raz-B was molested by a man. Here’s some of the back-and-forth that went down, NSFW language:

Wow, I though Chris Brown fell off the map, and I KNOW Raz-B did a looong time ago. It’s sad what happened to Raz-B but he does not need to continuously bring it up. And if those are all the tweets, with none omitted, then that first tweet by Chris Brown was uncalled for. He didn’t even have to address it. OK, here’s my theory: RazB & CB are fighting over the same dude.
I have met a few mature 21 year olds, but by and large, a 21 year old doesn’t have the maturity to let what was clearly baiting on Raz-B’s part just roll of the back. In fact, there are probably some much older adults who wouldn’t let it slide, either. This whole thing is just Raz-B’s rather pathetic ploy for attention. If he was molested (which he may very well have been) then why hasn’t he pressed charges? I know there is a statute of limitation on child molestation/exploitation that may have been reached by now, but he’s been banging this drum for YEARS now. He’s been calling other performers out regarding so called homosexuality and/or homosexual exploitation rather recklessly and I think he’s lucky he hasn’t gotten sued…or worse. I say he needs to either pursue legal action if it’s true that his former manager and labelmate did rape him or forever hold his piece. He’s only hurting his own credibility if he continues to do neither.

I personally hate Twitter and don’t think I’ll ever have an account but I read an article about how important it (Twitter) was for Iranian jornalists/bloggers during those protests in 2009 (against the results of the election, if I’m not wrong) in which one woman was killed by the police. Even major newspapers and TV broadcasters based their reports on the users’s messages.
