Khloe Kardashian on the cover of Cosmo: Photoshop catastrophe?

cosmo1

Oh. My. GOD. Look at what they did to my favorite Kardashian!!! This is the new cover of “Cosmopolitan: Middle East” (which I didn’t know existed), with what amounts to a drawing of Khloe Kardashian on the cover. Well, I think that’s actually Khloe’s face, but that is surely not her body. I have three theories: A) they put Khloe’s head on someone else’s body, or B) that’s really Khloe’s body, but the Photoshop fairies went overboard or C) they pasted Khloe’s head onto a drawing of some chick’s body. You choose.

Here are some highlights from the Cosmo interview (you can read scans of the whole thing here, at Khloe’s Celebuzz site):

On the toughest part of being a Kardashian: “Dealing with the Kardashian body image… Kim and Kourtney have said to me, ‘If we were put under the same negative attention that you are, we couldn’t handle it.’ If I want to wear a long flowing dress, someone will say I’m pregnant. I believe we’re not given any more than we can handle and most of the time I can handle it. But we all have fat days and if I’m having one of those days, those sorts of things make me feel down.”

Supporting curvy girls: “Girls tell me and my sisters, ‘We love your booties,’ Khloe reveals. “Just yesterday a really thin stylist said to me, ‘I wish I had your booty. I don’t have one.'” Even her sister Kim has insecurities, Khloe adds, which surprises her. “Kim, who I think is flawless, is always complaining. She complains about cellulite and I tell her, ‘I’ll trade your cellulite for my love handles.'”

Meanwhile, Khloe has given a new round of interviews about how she is NOT pregnant. She gave an “exclusive” to Life & Style (she shares the cover this week with Kim Zolciak and Britney Spears) about how she is “feeling lots of pressure” about getting pregnant. She tells the mag: “I feel like I’m letting people down. My mom literally calls me daily to ask when my period is supposed to be. I’m not desperate to have a baby right now, but if I got pregnant tomorrow I’d be over the moon excited.”

Meanwhile, she talked about her lack of beh-behs again to People Magazine earlier this week. She tells them, “I’m not desperate to have a baby. Do I want children? Yes. But I’m very happy being just Lamar and I. I think a baby would add so much to us, but right now, I’m so content and so happy with the way things are. People think I would sell my hair to have a child. We feel like we’re young and whatever is meant to happen is meant to happen. I’m healthy, I know I can have children. He can have children. It’s like we’re not doing anything to stop it, but I don’t have like an ovulation calendar and all that. Trying to get pregnant is hard. People don’t seem to realize that you only have three days out of the month to get pregnant. And if you miss those three days, you have to wait for the next month. If I don’t get pregnant in a few years, then we’ll call the doctor and figure out what happened.”

Sigh… okay, enough of Phantom Bump Watch. Khloe will get pregnant and tell us about it when she’s ready.

I like her. When I watch their show I find that her personality really outshines Kim’s and Kourtney’s.

  2. Quest says:

I hate how much they photoshop people these days, why can’t a picture look natural anymore. I still like Khloe she has one of the more interesing personna out of all the K-Klan

  3. the original bellaluna says:

    Photoshopped Kosmo Kover Katastrophe.

Khloe is the only Kardashian I actually find tolerable. At first, she struck me as harsh and rude; now I think she just cuts through the b.s. (in that family, you’d have to just to find some semblance of a human being).

  4. DubaiGal says:

‘…the new cover of “Cosmopolitan: Middle East” (which I didn’t know existed)’

That would likely be because this is the inaugural issue of Cosmo ME.

  5. lisa says:

I actually don’t think they did a lot on her compared to what they do on KIM..

I don’t watch the show, but she seems to be the most down to earth one.

  6. Melanie says:

She does strike me as having a IQ over 100 in interviews. Why God why do I read Kardassian interviews?

  7. HEB says:

What I don’t get is….why is she in a strapless dress on the cover of Cosmo Middle East? The same people who photo-shop t-shirts under Katy Perry’s (and several other western artists) skimpy outfits… hmmm

  8. brin says:

    Mornin bellaluna! *waving*

I still find Khloe “harsh and rude” and definitely photoshopped here!

  9. the original bellaluna says:

    Mornin brin! *waving back*

Yeah, she is; but compared to the rest of the Klan, she’s most…IDK, honest/normal?

  10. mel says:

She’s my favorite of the three. Kim and Kourtney are annoying. Khloe keeps it real.

  11. Macey says:

that is not her body on the cover pic, thats a cut and paste p-shop job.

  12. Marjalane says:

Was she born without a neck?

  13. Becca B says:

I agree, that is not her body on the cover.

  14. TXCinderella says:

Wow, they really photoshopped that cover! Khloe is a thick girl and that is not representative of what her body looks like. Khloe is not fat, she is just a large boned person. Out of all the Kardashian’s, I like her the most. She seems real and not as vapid as the other two sister’s.

  15. Cel says:

Who taught her biology?? You can get pregnant any time of the month!

And I agree she has been photoshopped to the max.

  16. Maria says:

    I love her!!!!

@ cel: who taught you biology???? You can’t get pregnant everyday of the month!!! As a mother of 3, I can assure you that she’s right. You ovulate and right after that, there’s a small window which you can get pregnant.

  17. VV says:

She kills me, in a good way I mean! She is really quite funny and the way she deals with all the drama and bs her family create (especially her mother) is pretty entertaining to watch…

Somehow despite resisting the Kardashian show, I got sucked in and she’s about the only reason I pause on the channel which the show is aired.

  18. LittleDeadGirl says:

I like her in interviews but the few episodes I’ve caught I really don’t like her (or any of them). She’s so loud and obnoxious and often mean spirited …

  19. malachais says:

While I think Khloe is the cooler one of the bunch, they seem to talk about the same sh!t in everyone interview. Boyfriends/husbands, kids, weight. THAT’S IT. I read somewhere that E! is looking to change their lineup soon and wants to slowly ditch the Kardashians. I hope this is the case.

  20. Larissa says:

well, u bet that if E! even starts to consider dropping them, they will start doing charity like crazy, adopting kids, they will go any length not to leave the spotlight…maybe they will even inpregnate one of their younger daughters, because teen mom is such a hit, right? lol

  21. PrettyTarheel says:

@HEB-I wondered the same thing. They recently photo-shopped an additional shirt onto Giselle for advertising in one country. If this is being printed for distribution throughout the entire Middle East, I would expect more conservative attire out of respect.

DubaiGirl-can you help us out? What’s the main market for Cosmo ME?

  22. beth says:

she’s the bestlooking of the lot, IMO.
havent heard her speak yet (don’t live in the US, so don’t follow the Kardashians as pathologically as some of you 🙂 )
    can’t tell about the photoshopping…

  23. original kate says:

“Was she born without a neck?”

@ marjalane: that whole family is a group of neckless wonders.

  24. Dea says:

The first picture is nto the body of hers – you can tell there is no neck for God’s sake. They didn’t do a good job when they put her head to the body of someone else. Or when photoshopped it so much they forgot to work on her neck. Lol

  25. Amanda G says:

She is so ugly, but she’s probably the most tolerable of the Kardashian clan…except for when she speaks in her “baby voice.”

  26. Ally says:

The funniest part of the Photoshop is that they shrunk the size of her whole head in proportion to the body (whether its hers or not). Do they think her head is fat? Should we all be getting headoctemies now?

They managed to photograph her fairly naturally (though with angles) in the other photos. Why oh why do they do these ugly photoshopped covers?

  27. ordinarygirl86 says:

I love Khloe! How DARE they photoshop her head onto some emaciated model body!

  28. Jess says:

Oh, jeez. Just…damn. That’s the worst cover I’ve seen in a long time.

  29. Dhavy says:

Why is any Kardashian on any magazine cover?

  30. harfang says:

Despite that disgusting fragrance ad and the fact that Khloe hasn’t done anything to deserve a well-paying career, I do think she’s super hot as is, and a great example of a healthy woman with a good body image. So at least she does her child and teenage female fans a service that way. Allowing people to ‘shop the living crap out of her undermines her only redeeming quality.

  31. Confuzzle says:

    Can wookies get pregnant?

  32. Dea says:

@Dhavy: Because mama Kris pimps daughters everywhere so she can make the ten percent. She does not care that millions of people disrespect her own daughters, she does not care that millions of people call Kim a whore, etc. etc. In fact if Kris was offered a playboy cover believe me she was going to show her tits and her ugly ass. That woman is dirtier than a pig.

  33. DubaiGal says:

    @PrettyTarheel
The Giselle cover-up was pretty strange, IMO. You don’t often see something like that outside of Saudi Arabia.
Covers like the one above are not unusual here. These mags are marketed to the multitude of Western expats in the GCC nations and the very chic & cosmopolitan (no pun intended) local ladies.
I’ve worked in publishing in both the US & the UAE & yes the mags/photos are more conservative here in the UAE, but not by as much as you’d probably imagine.

  34. NicoleAM says:

I was wondering what she was doing on the cover of Cosmo and then I clicked on it and realized it was Cosmo Middle East. How and why these chicks make any covers is still beyond me.

  35. Cel says:

    @Maria – you are wrong.

    This is from the NHS:
If you have sex without using contraception, you can conceive (get pregnant) at any time during your menstrual cycle, even during, or just after, your period.

You can also get pregnant even if you have never had a period before, during your first period, or after the first time you have sex.

There is no ‘safe’ time of the month when you can have sex without contraception, and not risk becoming pregnant. However, there are times during your menstrual cycle when you are at your most fertile, and this when you are most likely to conceive.

  36. mamking says:

    @Cel:

You shouldn’t quote parts of an article that suite your argument because another line “Therefore, while it is possible to conceive just after your period, it is not very probable” goes against your argument. Educated women know that ovulation plays greatly into conception. Duh.

  37. Cel says:

@Mamking – my partner is a doctor who regularly sees women who have gotten pregnant at times of month when they thought it impossible.

Anyway, read back what you have just written – “not very probable” does not mean it won’t happen, which was my original point.
