Here are some new photos of Sparkles & Reese Witherspoon doing the Water for Elephants promo stuff in Sydney, Australia today… or yesterday? Or tomorrow. I can’t tell, honestly. Who knows. As for the photos from the premiere – how much do you love Reese’s HUGE Southern hair? The bigger the hair, the closer to God. The dress looks super-Southern to me too, what with the exaggerated sweetheart neckline – allegedly, the dress is Zac Posen…? Maybe, maybe not.
As for Sparkles, he looked tired but nice. For the photo call, he and Reese actually had to interact with an elephant, and I think the ellie took a whiz on Sparkles, so… yeah. He has a reason to look slightly unkempt. But still… he’s kind of prettier than Reese, right?

Hair’s a nice changeup. The dress is GORGEOUS. I love the color and the fit.
I use to love her.. But lately her movies are terrible. The ones w/ the makeup she looks more like Jenny McCarthy’s little sister..but Jen looks better…

She looks great. Has the recent domination of flat-ironed hair made people forget what “big hair” looks like? As someone who went to high school in Texas in the 1980s, this ain’t it.

That dress makes her look heavier than she is and the hair is awful. She looks like Jessica Simpson, and that is not meant as a compliment. What colour is her natural hair? Her roots look really dark in these photos.
If a dress is making someone look heavier, and if the same someone looks like she hasn’t done her roots in some time, that means that someone could well be pregnant, as others have pointed out.
This is not big hair. At least not in Dallas.
Yes Sparkles is definitely the prettier of the two. And a big yes to him for HGF! Just not those shirtless early modeling shots with the tie and short shorts…I’m as embarrassed for him as he is for those.

The only attractive thing about RPat, to me, is his height, and Reese’s hair just looks nice and loose; how is that big hair? Is anything that’s not flat-ironed considered “big hair” now?
Ugh. I like the colour of this dress, but hate the cut. The exaggerated chestline is dwarfing her little frame, and making her look shorter and stockier than she is.

@katenonymous: i’m with you!! this is a far cry from “big hair” no matter what year it is. i actually like the hair…it’s feminine and not too perfect. just don’t like the super-dark roots; they’re so dark to a point that they are distracting.
Aw, usually love Reese’s outfits, but this is a NO — her hair on the sides looks like a completely different color than above — should have taken care of those roots. Make-up & dress are not working for her.
Not a fan of the hair or the dress. If the dress were longer, she’d look like a 1980’s beauty pageant contestant.

Love the hair, hate the dress. It’s the wrong cut, color and style for her.
Also, when I read interviews with Sparkles, I think he’s awesome. And then I see a photo of him and think he’s skeevy and greasy. Can we magically transfer his wit and charm into some other attractive guy’s head? Like photoshop, really, when you think about it, right?

I love the color and cut of the dress, except for the flutey stuff under her armpits, and there is too much going on in the front of it. Perhaps all of those diagonals are supposed to be slimming, as she does look as if she could be pregnant. I’m also a fan of women wearing their hair natural, as I feel it suits them best and I think Reese has naturally straight hair, and I DO prefer that look on her.

She’s definitely gained weight–you can see it in her arms. So that leaves two options: she actually ate ONE piece of her wedding cake, or she’s having a baby. Take your pick. 🙂
I’m not a fan of big hair so I don’t like it. I love her dress though. It makes her look sexy instead of just cute. Rob was fabulous as always although these pictures here aren’t his best. He’s been really great on this promo tour and he and Reese work really well together.

So un-Hollywood. Bad roots, clump of her sitting on her head, yucky dress and shoes. I’ve seen prettier dresses and makeup at high school proms. He looks more like her hairdresser than a co-star.
