Halle Berry was at the Fifi fragrance awards awards last night in a draped black dress with an asymmetric angular cutout around the side of her stomach. Apart from the bizarre middle of the dress she otherwise looked flawless. I love her stacked gold hoop earrings that match the gold detailing on the dress. Her other accessories, a chunky black ring and clutch, are minimal and just serve to highlight how gorgeous she is. She wore very understated strappy heels and overall she worked that look. If she would have just picked a dress that covered her stomach she would have knocked it out of the park. As it is, I keep staring at her paler stomach and noticing that it doesn’t match the rest of her skin tone. Cutout dresses are all the rage now, but usually the panels aren’t as wide and showy as this one.
Fergie was also there in a jarring yellow flowing gown with a single sequin strap running from the bustline to the neck. It wasn’t her worst outfit, but the color had green undertones that didn’t flatter her. Plus it looks too dressy for this event. Her makeup was pretty and neutral, but her hair looked limp and messy, like it was just air dried.
Kate Walsh wore a burgundy strapless cocktail dress accented with a skinny black belt. She looks really hot here and like she put some thought into it and didn’t try too hard.
Mary J. Blige was in a fitted floor length white sequin gown. I think she overdid it with the accessories, but it’s a pretty dress and I see what she was going for.
Padma Laksmi had on a busy strapless fuschia number with a sweetheart neckline. I don’t like it from far away but when you zoom in it’s actually quite striking.

Love the belt on Halle’s dress but overall I think it’s too young for her. I know she has a great body but maybe if the cut out was smaller I’d like it.

I love Halle’s dress. I normally wouldn’t like something like that but its badass. I like it. I think all the women look pretty good but I hate the print on Padma’s dress.

Halle would look lovely in anything; but she should dress in something that exudes an inner-confidence. (Which she clearly does not have.)

I think Halle looked gorgeous, I only think the skirt shouldn’t have gone up like that in the front, to keep the focus on the cutout. She has an incredible body. Actually liked all the dresses, except Padmas (shudder).
Halle is such a mess in real life. She is DESPERATE for attention hence why she dresses like a hooker on the red carpet. She always wears way to revealing, tacky clothes for a woman her age — especially a mother.

It is my humble opinion Halle who will be 45 in August has serious issues about attention and feels she is not getting the attention she deserves so she compensates by wearing inappropiate clothes that call attention to her body, not her mind or acting abilities. 🙂
She looks fabulous. I don’t see somone “young” in that dress, it’s to sophisticated (think old school Halston) I don’t think it shows to much skin either. She is in a business where your face and your body is what sells you, so go for it, Halle.
I definitely don’t think it’s too revealing. She’s not putting the ‘goods’ out there for oggling. But I absolutely HATE this dress. I’m a little obsessive about ‘balance’ to begin with, but that’s not what I think is the worst in this case.
It actually cuts in such a way that Hale looks especially ‘thick’ in the middle, with almost no curve at all. (Which we all know she was in spades.) The design sucks in my opinion to begin with, but I do agree that the style is a bit too young. She can have fun & still look elegant. I wouldn’t go so far as to call her ‘desperate’, though.
As always Halle is sad, why do we even talk about this loser, she used that gay man to have a kid because he is white, and she acts bipolar, those legs look sad, eat some chicken your sugar will get the best of you old lady. We all know she can not act, in hollywood they know she is a ho and has no talent at all. Oprah let her tell all those lies on her show. Glad to see Oprah go.
