Uma Thurman rocked a fuchsia tube dress at the Stephan Weiss Apple Awards in New York last night. I wrested this story away from Kaiser, as we both wanted to talk about how radiant and lovely Uma looks in that color and in that loose fitting dress. This is a look that Angelina Jolie should adopt (ha!) as it’s her style, but more flattering and elegant than the sacks that she normally wears. (Remember those black tube dresses Angelina was wearing all the time when she was in France for the summer two years ago? She would love this dress.)
All that said, though, Uma is tweaking her face. She looks a little “off,” and you can tell that she’s plumped her lips and is using filler and/or Botox to smooth away her lines. Maybe it’s partially the effect of her eyeliner, but her face looks different to me. Her eyes are higher and tighter looking. She’s still a strikingly beautiful woman, but she’s definitely changed. Compare how she looks now (the photos of her with her hair down) to this photo of her with her hair up, taken on May 19 of this year. Look at how gorgeous she used to be.
She is 41 years old, and I get the urge to tweak and freshen, but she messed with perfection, she really did, and ended up with wonk eye and a puffy mouth where her gorgeous lips used to be. She’s still lovely, she’s not unattractive, but she’s different, you can tell, and it’s not for the better. I’m 38, I’ll be honest, and I have really considered getting a little work done, either injectables or otherwise. After seeing these photos I’m decided, though. It’s going to be at least another decade before I consider it again. (Hell I won’t rule it out though.)
Maybe the work is just fresh and it needs to settle, then she’ll go back to looking the part of a goddess.
She looks amazing! Whatever she’s doing, it works.
I disagree — she’s always had a bit of a wonk eye, and the lips could just be different lipgloss. Remember what a different lipstick shade did for Fergie?! Gave her a whole new face 😉
For real, I don’t think Uma has had any work, I think she looks great.
I think there is some work done on the lips (if nothing else) – just a little.

Kim Basinger and Michelle Pfeiffer on the otherhand were and are beautiful.
Let’s hope whatever she does, she keeps it subtle. Honestly, I can’t really tell here.
Her lips may look plumper. But the difference in her eyes is simply a difference in eye makeup IMO. Look how much more makeup she is wearing on her eyes in the gray dress photo, than in the red dress photo. Therein lies the difference in how her eyes look.
I can’t tell to be honest. She is a lovely woman and as long as she isn’t going overboard more power to her.
Her cheek implants have settled to close to her eye sockets. This could eventually be serious.
In all those pictures she has one eye slightly bigger than the other, maybe it’s some sign of aging. As for the rest of the face, maybe a bit tired … no, I don’t see plastic, but I may be influenced by her undying awesomeness, so …
She’s still gorgeous.
Her face now has an inarticulable sameness with Kate Winslet’s.
Uma looks beautiful still, but had something done – I think sumodo is right about the cheek implants and also looks like she got botox on the forehead, top lips filled out and perma denture veneers.
I hope that it’s Botox, and not a mid-face lift, so that it’s not permanent. Her eyes definitely look “stretched” now. She should stop with the lip plumping, too, because she didn’t need it.
She’s starting to look like Toni Collette’s better-looking sister.

i think shes just not wearing so much ‘eye sculpting’ makeup. If you wear THAT much makeup on your face, like in the before, you will undoubtedly look very different. Large false lashes, heavy dark shades, and the focus of your face shifts.
Without it her lips probabhly stand out or you can notice other things about her face that were overshadowed (drum hit) before.
She is just beautiful!

Definitely fillers as well, her naso-labial lines are now gone and she looks injected. I am 42, my mom had a facelift after some injectables and I will never do anything. I think it looks weird when you start messing so young.
I don’t know, I don’t see the plastic surgery? She doesn’t have the tell-tale fake look or immovable face.
I wish she’d get back to doing good movies. She’s a cool chick.

The picture in the silver dress came from the Canne Film festival which was a couple of weeks ago.
When you have to speculate this hard on if shes had work, then she is doing it right or she isnt doing it.
FINALLY people are noticing she had work done. It became very obvious from the photos from Cannes that she had stuff done. But it looks really good I will say. A lot of botox and filler and some minor tweaking. Hate to say she needed it – she was looking a little weathered and she didnt go overboard with the work so it looks good.

but, i’ll tell ya…i swear ever since she went through that sh*t with ex-hubby Ethan Hawke her looks went on the decline.
they came back for a bit during ‘Kill Bill’, but i think her other romance woes have stressed out her good looks.
she probably had a minor nip/tuck, whatevs. you can’t stay young 4ever…but man troubles can be a bitch on a chicks looks! 🙁
Uma can be both gorgeous and unattractive to me at times. I often think she is attractive and natural looking (and good for women our age)! I can see age appropriate forehead lines and lines around her eyes in the pictures. Normally, she barely wears makeup and she is wearing more than I have ever noticed in the past. She has always had a bit of a wonky eye. Again, I think she had a good makeup artist or finally, a makeup artist.
I agree with Nikkers and Quest. Maybe a touch of botox in the forehead but definitely could be a series of collagen ultrasound facials (those things are amazing!) I can’t tell about the lips. Uma’s face has such interesting angles, I feel makeup can make her look quite different. I reserve judgment until I see what her natural lips look like these days. But I’m inclined to think very little to no work. And her face shape looks the same to me (no cheek implants imo).
I’m sure it’s her nose. The ends don’t flare out as much.
