  3. LOVE ANGELINA says:

OMG I didn’t know Jonah Hill was gonna be starring in Moneyball too. He has come such a long way. Love him!!! Brad looks great in this. Award potential I think.

  4. Anna says:

Wtf is that tattoo on his forearm?

  5. jinni says:

So this is his “The Natural”?

  6. Katherine M. says:

Brad really does look gorgeous. It’s pretty clear not that he will be one of the lucky ones and age beautifully. He’ll be playing leading man roles way into his 70s if he wants to.

    Thanks, Kaiser for this loveliness.

  7. mln76 says:

This movie looks really good…he just keeps doing better and better work 🙂

  8. Girafe99 says:

Yeah it looks good, but I think most of the story is given away in the trailer, which seems to be a common problem nowadays, seen the trailer, seen the film

I like Brad. I do, but he’s not that great of an actor. Beautiful, yes. Tremendously talented, no.

  10. nan says:

Love him in anything he does.

  11. truetalk says:

    @Turtledove; lol!!!

  12. Trek Girl says:

I can’t stand baseball, football, soccer, basketball, and most other traditional team sports, but I like movies about them.

“Any Given Sunday”, “The Fan”, and especially “Sunset Park”, are some of my favorite movies. I was very little when they came out, so, for some reason, they are actually comforting.

“Moneyball” looks like a pretty good movie. I don’t know if I’ll see it in theatres, but I’ll probably watch it when it gets to cable.

  13. nnn says:

I like Brad’s movies those couples of years and his involvment in producing projects..

I think he choses cautiousely and does more meaty roles than his counterparts like Depp (who is a magnificent actor who i would love seeing hiim more in indies) and Tom Cruise who also lately is trying to do other type of roles than what he does usually.

I like that he doesn’t cave in to easiness like having some franchise, though he has been offer many action roles in his career.

    I like that in him.

  14. normades says:

@Turtle Dove: I think he’s gotten better. Much more watchable in something like Inglorious Basterds. I saw Meet Joe Black again recently. God he was awful. Too bad RDJ was high at the time, a great actor could have really done something with that role.

    LOL!

    @ Anna:

That’s the Ötzi the Iceman (a frozen mummy found in the Italian Alps — the name comes from Ötz Valley).

    @ Turtle Dove:

I don’t like him as an actor. At. All.

And I also don’t find him attractive. The sole reason to why I care about him is because he’s with Angelina Jolie.

  18. Slim Charles says:

    @Turtledove I agree.

He looks GORGEOUS here. I always thought he was trying to be the next Robert Redford: his mannerisms, the way he uses his eyes, the aloof style of acting. Bring it, Brad.

  19. normades says:

@nnn: I agree with your Depp comment. I wish he would stop playing the same “zany” character in all those Tim Burton movies and do something deeper.

    @ Normades:

@Turtle Dove: I think he’s gotten better. Much more watchable in something like Inglorious Basterds.

Different strokes, I guess…because it took me weeks to watch Inglourious Basterds. I even returned the DVD to the video store (the first time I tried to watch it) without having watched the whole movie simply because I could not stand him in it.

I think Aldo Raine would be a perfect role for someone like Nicolas Cage — unfortunately, he was already not that relevant anymore (back then).

  22. Praise St. Angie! says:

“Yeah it looks good, but I think most of the story is given away in the trailer, which seems to be a common problem nowadays, seen the trailer, seen the film”

good lord, isn’t THAT the truth…they have to show you all the good stuff to make you want to see the movie. then when you see the actual film you think “WHY did I want to see this again?…”

it’s even worse with comedies, IMO. They show you all the good gags/jokes in the trailer.

  23. Kaiser says:

Trek Girl – I was just thinking that! I don’t give a hoot about sports, but I love so many sports films. One of my favorites is Miracle! It really is a wonderful film about hockey, of all things.

  24. Kim123 says:

IMO Brad’s best performance ever is in Tree of Life.I think he should receive a GG nomination or even an Oscar nomination for that performance.I checked out IB from the library I had it for two weeks and never finished watching it.

  25. Kate says:

He is really looking like Robert Redford isn’t he?!

  26. Chris says:

Brad Pitt is not a good actor? I think some of you need to go back over his filmography and recount some of the great performances he’s delivered. He should’ve got an Oscar for Fight Club.

    http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000093/

  27. buckley says:

I dont think anyone said he wasn’t good, just not tremendously talented.
Personally I see Brad Pitt in all his roles, he takes me out of the movie, if that makes sense.
Now I best go before words like hater and aniston come up…:)

  28. fannomore says:

who cares about the movie as long as Brad Pitt is acting…I’d watch and drool and feel soooooo happy.

  29. Eve says:

    @ Buckley:

I dont think anyone said he wasn’t good, just not tremendously talented.

I did. And I have seen enough of his movies to have that opinion.

People can and will disagree with me, but I simply don’t think he’s a good actor. Period.

  30. Chris says:

Directors like David Fincher, Terry Gilliam, The Coen Brothers, Terrence Malik and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu wouldn’t have cast Brad if in their films if he wasn’t talented.

  31. Blergh says:

Dare I say it but in these shots and in the clip are there remnants of the young, personality-filled, Pre-Jolie Pitt here!??! Baby got his swagga back?!?! Please baby jeysus.

  32. kazoo says:

as a baseball lover, i am super super excited about this movie!

  33. Nancy says:

Brad Pitt Beautiful man but Bland personality.

  34. mzjask says:

i think the same people that dislike brad as an actor are probably the same ones the watch american idol or the hills religiously or the ones that run out to buy crap cd’s bc they’re on the radio.
    yes, different strokes indeed.
    #30. @Chris, ITA with you 100%

ill watch anything where this man’s involved. and i think its awesome that jonah hill is branching out as well, love that kid. and PSH, done deal. might not spend 10 bux to watch it with everyone else in the theater but i’ll netflix for sure!

  35. Trek Girl says:

@ Kaiser: I completely forgot about “Miracle”! When I went to go see that movie I think I was in it mostly for the great food that was at the theatre, but as I watched it I got completely sucked in.

I’ve only seen it once, so now that you’ve reminded me of it I’ll have to watch it again lol.

  36. Sakyiwaa says:

i love Jonah Hill. Brad, for me, is Numero Uno!

    LMAO! @El Brad Pitt

  37. mary simon says:

maybe not the best actor, but not bad, and very watchable and likeable. I am going to see this movie.

  38. kasper says:

@sakyiwaa — obviously “El Brad Pitt” was rounding up heroin for “La Santa Angelina”. :-]

  39. lucy2 says:

    mzjask….um, no.
He’s had some good roles, but I don’t think of him as an amazing actor.

Jon Hamm and Melissa McCarthy together? love it!

  40. mln76 says:

Ehh I think he’s gotten alot better than he was in MJB that movie was unwatchable except to look at Brad dreamy eyes…TAOJJ was an amazing performance and I really want to see Tree of Life. And yes I give him props for not just making Disney movies and taking all the offers he must get for more commercial work like some other actors who shall remane nameless. He’s almost underated at this point because he’s just looked at as tabloid fodder/aging pretty boy but he’s done alot of impressive work and highly entertaining films. HOWEVER I don’t think IB was his best performance I think it’s because the twins were just born because according to Tarrantino all he did was sleep in the trailer.

  41. Sakyiwaa says:

aww! i love sports movies. the trailer is good. they’re so inspirational. well, what d’you know? Se7en is playing on my TV right now with story notes. Brad is pretty amazing in this flick too. i forgot Kevin Spacey was in it 🙂 Kevin’s crazy as a sociopath. lol. real good actor. He does the deadpan talking so well. Awesome flick… 4realz …oooh. my fave scene is coming up…gotta go!

  42. Sakyiwaa says:

    @kasper; hahaha! totally… *wink*

  43. Lara says:

IMO he is getting much better. He matures quite gracefully on every level.

  44. anom says:

this looks GOOD. i have seen every movie brad and angie have done since they have been a couple. ALL AT THEATERS. i will be seeing this as well. BRAD is H.O.T

  45. Chris says:

I was just reading a review about The Tree of Life, and while the critic panned the movie, of Pitt he said “Brad Pitt delivers a superb performance here that speaks once again to his subtle, prodigious gifts as an actor.

Is Brad this generation’s Paul Newman?

  46. janna says:

this, i’ll see. mr. pitt is a fine actor and the story looks very interesting.

  47. Eve says:

    @ Mzjak:

i think the same people that dislike brad as an actor are probably the same ones the watch american idol or the hills religiously

Wrong. I hate American Idol and that type of singer who has to scream to show they can hit extremely high notes therefore proving they’re great singers. Hate them.

or the ones that run out to buy crap cd’s bc they’re on the radio.

Wrong again. I don’t listen to the radio because the people I like aren’t very popular among radio listeners.

    yes, different strokes indeed.

No. It would have been like that had you described what you like about him, not by making such stupid assumptions about what I could possibly like (and being awfully wrong about it). They weren’t even about other actors.

It’s amazing how people refuse to accept that there are other people with a different opinion than theirs.

  48. normades says:

Did someone say Paul Newman? Where’s Courtney? lol

  49. mln76 says:

@Chris the critics didn’t pan the Tree of Life it’s actually at 86% on Rotten Tomatoes, pretty unamimously praised by the ‘high end critics’ and eventhough there was controversy at Cannes it got the top prize. The issue with the movie is Terrence Mallick’s style is more cerebral and esoteric and isn’t really a linear storyteller…so it’s not an easy film for the general public to watch.

    cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  53. Toe says:

The movie looks ggod. I like BP as an actor.

  54. Chris says:

@mln76: I didn’t say critics panned it. I said the critic who wrote the review I read panned it. But it’s not the first bad review I’ve read about it.

“It’s amazing how people refuse to accept that there are other people with a different opinion than theirs.”

I accept your opinion. I just don’t agree with it.

  55. The man is like fine wine.Go ahead baby, make my Celtic blood burn!

  56. anonymous says:

SANDY#1: You got that right! Any day any time for Brad Pitt, here is a man that has what it takes a good family man, a gentleman, and dashingly handsome.

  57. Eve says:

    @ Chris:

My comment # 47 wasn’t directed at you. I had seen your comments and it didn’t bother me the fact you disagreed with me — you have your reasons to like him, I have mine to do the opposite.

  58. Eve says:

EDIT: “you have your reasons for liking him, I have mine for doing the opposite”. Not sure if both forms are correct or if it’s only the latter.
