We’ve only just discussed the day-long (not even that) engagement and marriage of Tara Reid and her Danish businessman boyfriend, and now here’s a celebrity marriage that finally happened after an extraordinarily (by some people’s standards) lengthy engagement period. After five years of being engaged (and two kids together), Brooke Burke and David Charvet have finally tied the knot. That seems like a long time, right? There are all sorts of celebrity couples who stay together without being engaged, but if you’re gonna bother to attach a prospective marital label to it, five years seems like a long time to wait. Not that I’m an expert on marriage by any stretch, of course.
According to Fame Pictures, the couple got hitched in St. Barths, France on a boat in a “small spontaneous ceremony.” Even though, you know, it couldn’t have been completely unplanned since the rings were present and accounted for already. After getting married, Brooke and David embarked upon their honeymoon, which is actually the same vacation that’s already taking place with their two children, 4-year-old daughter Heaven Rain and son Shaya Braven, plus Brooke’s three daughters from a previous marriage. Sounds romantic right? Maybe not.
Naturally, David and Brooke also gave exclusive news of their marriage to Life & Style as well:
Dancing With the Stars co-host Brooke Burke and former Baywatch star David Charvet said “I do” tonight in one of the most romantic ways possible: on a boat under the stars in St. Bart’s, Life & Style can exclusively reveal.
Joined by their children, the couple, both 39, made it official after being engaged for nearly five years. “We’re just at that place, where love is deep and meaningful, and we’re feeling very settled,” Brooke confided about their relationship last year.
After revving up their romance in 2005, the two became engaged in August 2006. “It was a total surprise,” Brooke has said about the night when David proposed to her. “It was all very romantic. He’s my best friend.”
This is the second marriage for Brooke, who was formerly married to Garth Fisher, the plastic surgeon on ABC’s Extreme Makeover. This is the first marriage for David. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Brooke and David are such an attractive couple, yes, and their kids are adorable too. Hopefully, they’ll make time for an actual one-on-one honeymoon in the near future instead of waiting another five years for the opportunity.

Man alive david charvet used to be so outrageously gorgeous. Ok, he’s still pretty decent! At the height of bay watch, we are talking 15 years ago I was at the resturant Indochine in new york and he was there with a group of people. My god, in the flesh he was so handsome I couldn’t even look at him straight on! I saw an interview with them and they said their daughters name was the french Raine. Not rain.
It is about time! I never heard of being engaged for almost six years then getting married. People usually get married right away after the engagement. I’ve heard of being together 8 years then finally getting engaged, but not the other way around. Congrats to the family! 🙂

Anyway, I know Heidi Klum gets props for looking so amazing after having four kids. And she does. But I think her belly is a little wonky like she had some help. Or maybe it’s actually from having the four kids. Idk. But Brooke’s belly looks amazing! Her whole body looks amazing.

I’m surprised they got married. Mainly cause that means her alimony from the plastic surgeon ex husband will end now. Who knows, maybe the ex is broke now. 🙂

I find this couple more unnatural. If you look she is always looking at the camera and making poses, are well aware that the recording. Of course what is undeniable is that goes like to be in the press and courting the press.
