Kate Bosworth is totally over Alexander Skarsgard. That’s what she wants us to believe. As soon as everyone learned that Alex had dumped her, The Bos started showing up everywhere with a new boyfriend – director Michael Polish. They even walked the red carpet together in Deauville, and she brought him to a Coldplay concert. Kate is SO OVER Alex that she – I mean, “a source” – told the Enquirer that she cheated on Alex with Michael Polish and that Alex was devastated and he will never be able to move on with his life. So… what are the odds that The Bos is still hung up on Alex? Star Magazine claims that Kate is pulling the old drunk-dialing, “I MISS YOU” phone calls late at night:
Breaking up is always tough to do, but Kate Bosworth has been taking her early summer split from her beau of two years, Alexander Skarsgard, particularly hard.
“She feels she messed up with the man she was meant to marry,” says a source. While Kate, 28, has made sure to be seen with her new escort, director Michael Polish, “After a few drinks, she’ll text and call Alex like crazy.”
The source adds, “It just pushes him further away.”

I’ll believe it. It conforms to my idea of Kate – not that I think she gets drunk and loses control of her emotions. She doesn’t ever lose control, I don’t think. I think this is a ploy to make sure that she’s still in Alex’s life, and if he ever wants to get back together, that would be fine with her. Poor Michael Polish! Poor Hobbit-dude, being used like that by some bony, manipulative chick.
Oh, and this is really boring but I thought I’d mention it – The Bos recently discussed her decision to half-dye her hair blue. The Bos says she and her stylist Cher Coulter were working on an editorial shoot and “The blue hair came about because we both really loved the pink hair from Givenchy’s [Fall 2010 ad campaign]. Why do people hate this chick so much? Seriously, do people believe the gossip that she is some manipulative wench. Yeah, I buy that PR feeds tips to magazines but to believe they want people to think she was cheating…Well, that just makes her look bad. She seems like a pretty, not so great actress with a slight eating disorder who has had a few long term relationships with leading men. Just think it is kind of misogynistic to be like, it is all Kate’s fault, when Orlando Bloom or Alexander Skarsgard could have been the ones to screw up too.
Lana, agreed. I ADORE Kate. She is remarkably poised and elegant. I believe many females are envious, so they make nasty remarks. She is with Mr. Polish on the rebound, he’s too old for her; she’ll tire of his stuffy Scorpio ways; he is more into Kate than Kate is into him. I predict Alex and Kate will reunite and take it further. Kate needs to mature a bit more, and Alex will lose interest in bachelorhood & superficial attention from other females.
Whether it’s true or not, it’s not like he would ever hear her phone calls over the hordes of women that follow him every time he goes out in NYC these days.

I totally believe this. It fits with her stalking tendecies after a break up. I almost feel sorry for her new ‘boyfriend’.
I don’t know about the drunk dialing, but I do know her blue hair looks incredibly stupid.
I’ll believe this when Skarsgard or Bosworth talk about it in an interview. Other than that, I’ll take this as pure gossip. Who are those people anyway who know so much about the personal lives of notoriously private (Alex) people? To be logic: It’s not like Kate Bosworth would want anybody to know about her humiliating herself. So this wouldn’t come from her camp. On the other hand: Alexander Skarsgard does not talk about his private life and he’s certainly not one to throw his ex under the bus, as far as I view his recent behaviour. So: This rumour must be a piece of fiction. They were together, they split, and nobody not close to them on a private basis will ever know for sure why. Get over it, people.

@brin & lana: I would guess it’s because she’s completely pointless but gets a disproportionately large amount of media attention for being skinny, dating popular actors deemed “out of her league” and wearing designer clothes she shouldn’t be able to afford on her thin resume of roles in rubbish movies.

Regardless of how she is irl -who knows for sure, but seems like a pretty sad and empty life that will only get more so as she gets older and isn’t twenty something anymore- but she looks very beautiful to me in the last pic.

I imagine she could miss Askars and all the attention being with him brought her. However, if she were my friend I would tell her to stick with the new guy. He looks at her so adoringly in those red carpet photos. Askars barely acknowledged her in public.
Jen34, I have to agree, she should stick with one who doesn’t look like he’d rather be cleaning out nuclear reactors than to be with her. I think the more Alex tried to leave the relationship the tighter she clung.

For displaying affection in public, he showed (s) affection towards his co-star Pam in TB in public.
There’s also a video of him outside at some party a while ago giving everyone, like everyone, he was friends with a hug. He barely acknowledged Kate B. I have NO idea the reasoning behind it, but seriously, if my bf treated me like that in public, after a while, it would be embarrassing.
I saw one video a while ago where he walked a head of her and she waited while he got the car. I swear, it sounded like he honked the horn at her to get in.
Alex seems like a genuninely nice guy who wants to stay grounded / keeps things in perspective, but that’s not a great way to treat a gf. Never understood their interactions, so strange.
He and his co-star (Pam), I love their chemistry! It’s funny to see Alex and her together, they seem so relaxed and their body language is into each other. But when you see pics of her with her own husband, not so much.

I first saw Kate in a surfing movie with Michelle Rodriguez, I liked her then. But I can’t remember any other movie she’s done, I can’t recall any of her characters, and it’s like she keeps trying to make herself happen. But what I really don’t get is how Alex fell for that. I mean, she could use a meal. She’s got a pretty face – but what-what-what did he see in her??
The thing that bothers me so much about Kate Bosworth is that she’s just another woman who CANNOT be single for the life of her. She went from Orlando Bloom to that James Rosseau (sp?) model guy to Skarsgaard to this new Michael Polish guy. I mean, was there even a single day between any of these guys? She just comes across as a clingy, desperate, co-dependent woman who can’t survive without a man by her side. Unfortunately there are a lot of women like that, in both Hollywood and the real world. It’s pathetic and sad.

pretty sad state of affairs when dipping the ends of your hair in a little manic panic is considered “edgy”.
I’m just an extremely disgruntled ex-fan of his, no I no longer have any interest in his dating thing, and yet I still detest her.
And why? Because she’s a waste of space in celeb world, and yea, as someone pointed out, she tries to make herself “happen”. She has no place in the celebrity world, none whatsoever. She has a right to exist but she definitely does NOT have the right to be a celeb. Besides, the only career she has is a “dating” career.
Which brings me to the real reason as to why she’s making these calls.
She’s getting more and more trouble having top grade co-stars worth dating (they’re not doing but 1-2 indie movies from time to time, and it’s her favorite place to shop around for dates), so she was trying to sink her nails into ASkars, which would fall under “best bet”. Seeing him bolt has got to sting, eh? And I guess she may be calling him pretending to be drunk so she can use that as an excuse.

I’m really surprised at all the people who jump to Alex’s defense, as if he has no blind vices and is the perfect specimen, and would NEVER do anything to warrant Kate Bosworth not wanting to be with him. His relationship track record is pretty sketchy and suspect. His blackbook interview pretty much told it all. They were probably just good friends and their joint publicist egged it on. This sounds like another publicist relationship designed to stir up controversy. Kate’s new beau at least seems like he enjoys her.

@Joanie: how is his relationship track record sketchy and suspect? I know he has been in three long time relationships – that doesn’t sound sketchy and suspect to me. He probably sleeps around between relationships, but that’s a cultural thing – it’s quite common to sleep around in Scandinavia (I say that as a Scandinavian).
