Jennifer Hudson goes into hiding over safety fears

Unfortunately the sad drama in Jennifer Hudson’s life doesn’t show any signs of getting better. Hudson has now gone into hiding over concerns for her safety, according to Extra. They don’t specify who she’s afraid of or if there was an actual threat made against her. Hopefully it’s just a precaution, however there is a worry that someone else was involved with the murders of her family this past weekend.

After losing her mother, brother and nephew this past weekend, actress/singer Jennifer Hudson may be worried about her own safety.

“Extra” received chilling new details on how Hudson in hiding and surrounding herself with security guards — according to blogger Liz Crokin. “I can’t disclose where Jennifer is staying — I can just tell you it’s a hotel,” said Liz. “She has bodyguards… and the hotel she’s staying at has a great security team. She left to go to the medical examiner’s office Sunday night.”

Hudson identified the body of her nephew Julian King, found yesterday in a white SUV. Us Weekly’s Bradley Jacobs tells “Extra” it was the second time in days the “Dream Girls” star had to endure the terrible task — having already identified the bodies of her mother and brother over the weekend. “She’s taking on the lead role in the family.”

Now, disturbing news reveals that there was an indication of violence before the tragic killings, including a public fight with Jennifer’s brother-in-law William Balfour. William served time for attempted murder, and missed his parole meeting on Friday — the same day Hudson’s mother and brother were shot and her nephew went missing. “A neighbor tells us about a month ago he witnessed a huge fight,” said Jacobs. “He overheard a man saying he’d kill Hudson’s sister and mess up everyone in the house.”

Witnesses have reported Balfour and Jennifer’s sister Julia, his estranged wife, argued on the day of the murders — over car payments.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that there may have been more than one person involved in the murder – it’s possible someone drove William Balfour to his girlfriend’s home after the murders.

Investigators have focused on suspect William Balfour’s movements on Friday, the day of the murders, as well as his conflicts with his estranged wife, Julia Hudson, and other members of the family. They are trying to determine whether another person drove Balfour to the West Side after the killings at the Hudsons’ South Side home, sources said.

Security video at the South Side high school showed someone parking the Chrysler on Friday, but investigators have not been able to determine the person’s identity from the images, the sources said. A time stamp on the video showed the car was left there at 12:30 p.m. Friday, but it was unclear whether the stamp was accurate, sources said.

Meanwhile, cell phone records placed Balfour on the West Side at that hour, sources said. If the time stamp is accurate, it would suggest another person may have driven the Chrysler from the Hudson home to Robeson, sources said. In any event, Balfour did not use his own car to travel from the Hudson’s Englewood house to his girlfriend’s home near 19th Street and Spaulding Avenue on the West Side, police said.

If someone else is involved in the murders I’m guessing that’s the person Jennifer is afraid of. There are a lot of people involved in this sad case though so it’s impossible to speculate. Hopefully there have been no specific threats against her and she’s just playing it safe.

God. Never rains but it pours. Hope they conclude this investigation very speedily, put the right people behind bars, and allow this poor family to grieve.

Just because she is staying at a hotel and some minor-league blogger isn’t saying which one doesn’t mean Hudson is “in hiding”. Where should she be staying while in town, at the house where her family was murdered? The police here have stated it was a domestic problem and likely suspect is the lowlife convict her sister chose to have in her and her son’s life. Sure it is a tragedy for Jennifer, but it certainly wasn’t some conspiricy to get her, she hasn’t lived here for many years.

I still really don’t understand why police investigations like this are published, far and wide. Just allow the killer to know exactly what you you’re doing, and what you don’t know, why doncha? 👿

@gg: They don’t release everything, just enough to let the public know the investigation is continuing forward and remind the perpetrator they should be sweating, large. Releases to the media are oftentimes several ‘pages’ behind where the investigation actually is. Releases also serve to jog the memory of anyone who may have been a witness to something, at some point which may have seemed innocuous at the time.

If Jennifer is in ‘hiding’ she’s there because because law enforcement told her to. The fact that she’s in a hotel, especially, tells me she is in a protective arrangement with law enforcement.

This is stupid none of it is adding up even if the guy did it which I think he probably did these stories aren’t adding up. First the older guy on William Balfour’s girlfriend street saw a white suburban and a guy with a white hoody which may have been Balfour getting out of the white suburban after taking something out of the glove compartment. Now there may have been someone who drove him. If someone else acted with him don’t you think they would have taken the car left at the Hudson house (green chrysler) which shows it may have been left there at 12:30 pm the bodies were found at 2:44 pm and some old man on Balfour’s girlfriend street seen the suburban 3 hours before 2:44 pm. The older guy on Balfour’s girlfriend street never said he seen anyone else in the suburban but he seen the person who may have been Balfour take something out of the glove compartment. Then Balfour threatened the family a month ago a whole month who kills someone a month later because they have anger issues yea right. Then witnesses said Julia and William argued the day of the murder over car payments. Why would you need witnesses to say that Julia can say that herself. This just isn’t making any sense. If the police wanna keep what they really know a secret then let them and stop posting stupid stories that don’t make any sense. If this story is true he could beat it with a Public Defender…
