I suspect that Lindsay Lohan’s crack-monster-face will completely eclipse all of the other fashion moments from the amFAR gala last night in NYC. To be fair to LL, she looked like such disastrous hell, everyone wants to talk about it. But to be fair to everyone else, there were some interesting fashion moments that weren’t related to Lohan. Let’s start with Heidi Klum in Roberto Cavalli. Cavalli was very popular last night – this post is devoted to ladies in Cavalli. I like this dress okay on Heidi – it seems subdued and mature on her, which isn’t bad at all. She usually errs on the side of “drag queen” so it’s nice to see her styled in a more mature way. I don’t think the dress is super-flattering on her, but it’s a nice choice for her first red carpet since her split.
Here’s Elizabeth Hurley and her man, Shane Warne. I’ve been ignoring Shane and Liz for a while, mostly because there haven’t been new photos of them, and because they’ve been more low-key lately. Liz wore Cavalli – it’s boring on her. I also think she looks like she’s gained some weight? She’s in love with a Ken doll, and she’s happy, so good for her. Shane’s face looks more “settled in” though, right? He looks almost human.
Next up: Jennifer Hudson, also in Cavalli. I think the dress is just awful by itself, and on Jennifer, it’s not good. It does bad things to her bust. But! Her makeup looks good, and I like the big hair on her.
Here’s Cindy Crawford in Cavalli. This dress looks so cheap on her. And her face really looks crazy to me.
Also in Cavalli – Julianne Moore. Great color on her, and great styling. This is the best she’s looked in a long time, I think. My only complaint is that the dress’s tailoring seems off.

Heidi looks great. What’s Hurley doing there? Thats another one of those, they’ll let anyone show up kind of things. Also, what’s with Cindy’s face? She’s had something done.
Liz Hurley is active with charities and such. I don’t think this was a “she’ll come to the opening of an envelope” sort of deal.
Hurley put everyone else to shame, she knocked it out ! She looks awesome.
Everyone else looks like crap, and was it a saggy boob even or what? Only Hurley lifted hers up… Jhudson looks scary…

Cavalli’s dresses are just the tackiest, most ill fitting garments. None of these women look good.

Oddly, I think that Heidi and Jennifer should have switched dresses… Jennifer would look better and less tacky in the black one, she is already wearing the accessories. And Heidi would look better in Jennifer’s dress, she too already has the right accessories!
Shame on Cindy Crawford. She was doing so well with the controlled touch-ups to her face, than really messed it up a few months ago. Someone told me that’s the effect of too much Restylane: your face will puff up for weeks on end if too much is applied into your lines. Like Lara Flynn Boyle borderline puffy.
Heidi looks nice. but as she ages I think her hair slicked back doesn’t flatter her. Liz looks gorgeous.
cindy is looking more and more like janice dickinson.

When I saw CC’s picture I said EXACTLY that to my husband…”she looks like Janice Dickinson” she would look so much better if she had just let herself alone…or stuck to ‘mild’kinds of procedures instead of the clusterf**k she’s had done…

I’m gonna say pretty. Not sure about the texture of the dress but I like how she’s wearing it.
Liz Hurley – good God woman! Stop boobing out! I can’t stop laughing – she and her Ken Doll look ridiculous. Cindy’s face looks frozen. Julianne Moore looks relatively classy – a nice simple choice.
J-Hud looks great. Her head doesn’t seem AS bob-ly. Maybe she’s gained some weight back on? Either way she looks good. And Cavalli is great but all of those dresses are ass-ugly.

Heidi looks make up, hair and earrings are great. The dress is meh for me.

I think JM is the only odd one in the bunch. Everyone looks so happy and vibrant and she is hunched over like someone is about to punch her in the face. The fit is odd; the pulling at the waist is just distracting. She needs to stick with Lanvin or get a better tailor. She is so beautiful and this dress does her no favors at all.
Those dresses do none justice.

Julianne Moores dress would look better if it had even a slight neckline to it. The neckline on that dress is just awful. The rest of the ladies dresses are meh, don’t really care for any of them.
I wonder why they all wore that line?
Heidi has bad hair – always has bad cuts & terrible dye jobs.
Jennifer Hudson just needs to STOP with the to tight dresses just because she lost some weight.
Heidi Klum really reminds me of Stacy Keibler here. Just a little bit more exotic looking.

i am really not feeling the “root-age” Klum flashes from time to time with her hair color. i mean, with all her money and connections to various stylists, colorist etc — it just looks like crap.
Julianne Moore looks beautiful, I adore her. Although the fit of her dress could be much better. I LOVE that colour on her though.
Heidi is putting on that happy face, but I don’t care for what she is wearing (in fact most of the time I don’t care for her red carpet looks come to think of it) and her tattoo is sooo ugly.
Liz’s face looks different. Her nose looks swollen, what the heck? Did her slight weight gain also go to her nose? Odd. The dress is ok on her, although a different colour would have been nice. Her plastic BF is as fug as usual though *shudder*.

I like Jennifer’s dress and hate her hair and makeup. Cindy looks off. I like Julianne Moore’s hair and makeup but the dress and posture is bad.
I like the fit of Heidi Klums dress accept in the bust area. Her bust looks to be sitting too low but then I am not a fan of strapless gowns. Her hair is awful! She needs to go back to her natural color and add a few highlights….the skunky dark roots makes her hair look greasy and having it pulled back is too severe.
I love liz’s boobs! God they look FANTASTIC!
