Does Lea Michelle obnoxiously rub her weight loss in co-stars faces?

I’ve never been a “Glee” watcher, so the only regular exposure that I have to Lea Michele is observing her chronic habit of pose-harding on the red carpet, more often than not in fussy, busted Marchesa gowns. By all accounts, Lea has a beautiful singing voice but seems to be clutching onto slight stardom as if she realizes her time in the spotlight is very limited, and the best thing she can do to make headlines is to try and date Ashton Kutcher. Yuck.

Anyway, In Touch has a story this week about Lea’s drastic weight loss since “Glee” started and how she talks nonstop to her co-stars all about it. To me, the above photo comparison doesn’t look like a huge difference — maybe 10-15 pounds or so? If anything, Lea simply looks more toned up and like she’s grown accustomed to fasting before red carpet appearances. She seems more “Hollywood” now, which isn’t necessarily a good thing because she looked cuter in the “before” photo. Naturally, Lea’s co-stars are tired of hearing about smaller ass and want her to STFU:

Just like annoying Rachel Berry on “Glee,” Lea Michelle is equally obsessed with perfection. A set insider says the actress never misses an opportunity to tell castmates how much weight she’s lost and the calorie count of just about everything that goes into her mouth. “It’s rubbing everyone the wrong way,” says the insider. Lea, 25, publicly said she lost weight because of an infection in her jaw and a vegan diet, but the insider says that she also works out nonstop. “I can eat some b*tches under the table!” she’s been quoted as saying. Maybe next time try eating something on the table.

[From In Touch print edition, February 20, 2012]

That “eat some bitches under the table” quote comes from an Allure magazine interview wherein Lea denies having an eating disorder. While there’s little way to know whether anyone truly suffers from an eating disorder, it’s really a standard excuse for one to insist that they really do eat all the time. Hell, I’ve used that excuse before back in my early 20s when I was actually counting the number of Cheerios that went into my mouth. Then again, I didn’t voluntarily offer up any information to anyone and only answered when asked. Lea seems much more like a braggadocio though, and I can believe that she’s talking her co-stars’ ears off about her incredible dietary control. They’re probably used to it though, and if she annoys them too much, meatball tossing is always a good resort.

Here are a few more red carpet comparison photos. In February 2011, I honestly don’t see much difference from her present figure except that she looks less “cut” here.

This photo from September 2011 may have been at the upper point of a “yo-yo” cycle because Lea is obviously covering up her figure. Yep, she’s probably got an eating disorder, but I think most Hollywood starlets do in some shape or form.

Her little tattoos are ridiculous. I don’t like tattoos ever-but the fact that she has like 20 tiny ones is even more stupid: it’s like she wants to be rebellious, but can’t totally commit to it-it’s just half ass.

  2. Jenna says:

She looks like she’s about to start flamingo dancing in that pic of her at the Grammy’s.

  3. Capella says:

That poor girl just can’t help it. Her PR team tries to sell her as do gooder, then another story leaks on how arrogant she is towards co-stars, or how she mean-girled yet another young fan at some event.

She just keeps shooting herself in the foot. Over and over again. Her hard posing is not helping her at all either.

My favorite Lea-entitled-bitch story was how she was excitedly approached by “True Grit” star Haylie Steinfeld, who was then brand new to Hollywood, and Lea was a total bitch and made Haylie cry.
Then Haylie was nominated for an Oscar. Lea never will be. ha ha!

      • Capella says:

Oh that was one of the many, unfortunately.

But Lea made sure to reach out to Ms. Steinfeld after her nomination, and pose with her on the red carpet. Wouldn’t it be easier and a lot less trouble for her to be gracious all the time instead?

  4. Kim says:

I don’t know who she is.

The countdown is on for the first Lea Michele vs. Katharine McPhee! story.

This is an eating disorder and gym bulimia. My, she must be a fun person to be around.

Honestly, I don’t think you’ve stumbled on any photos from before she lost weight in this post. I just remember it being really DRASTIC. Like she went from having a big round face and boobs to being all angles. I suppose it could be my memory, though.

  8. Jackson says:

Yeah, I don’t see much weight loss either. Maybe a little more toned but that’s it.

  9. TheOriginalKitten says:

Oh Bedhead, that depresses me to hear you talk about counting Cheerios. I’ll spare you the details-but I’ve been there too. Why do we do this to ourselves???? I don’t know..Lea Michelle normally makes me stabby but this story makes me feel sorry for her, and sorry for us women in general. Seems like almost every chick I know has battled some form of eating disorder 🙁

    Close. Your. Mouth.

    Oy.

  11. Aria says:

Looks better en Dec 2010. The weight loss does nothing for her face.

I can’t even with this girl. Remember when Diddy was running around hawking “No Bitchassness” t-shirts? (You do. Don’t lie.) Please, someone ship her a couple dozen. I find it interesting that she’s always yapping about the Rhinoplasty That Never Was (see the COVER OF ALLURE)and how she would neeeeeeeeever! Homegirl please. My take? Nasty attitude because she’s unhappy with herself.

Lady, you’ve got a pretty face and an amazing voice. Lighten up.

I read this article and said to myself “I bet she’s a Virgo”.

Went to look up her birthdate.

    Yep, she’s a Virgo.

“Cute” but tries too hard to look sexy.
    Obsessive about weight.
    Annoying.

BTW I’m a Virgo too LOL.

  14. taxi says:

She’s gone from “I’m so proud of myself for never getting a nose job!” to calorie-counting aloud? Not much noticeable weight change anyway in those pics.

Can’t stand people who crow to the world about how “proud” they are of themselves.

  15. paola says:

Can she lose ALL the weight and actually disappear? Or at least lose some weight on the nose as well because she is f-ing ugly

  16. original kate says:

    you can’t lose ugly.

  17. Maria says:

she’s young..one day she’ll be embarassed by how silly she is being. If we don’t act stupid or look rieiculous we have nothing to mature from. trust me, iin 10 years she’ll roll her eyes at her younger self. with most stars we read about that are under 25, most of what they do or how they look can be chalked up simply to their age.

  18. Tracy says:

GAWDDDDDDDDDDD, she is such a knob!

  19. Jover says:

Slight stardom indeed; Glee is on its way out – in five years i’ll doubt we will see much of them; remember they will be in the early/mid 30s and sad to say that’s ancient in today’s pop culture when you’re trying to start a music career on your own; outside of Glee how much genuine following do they have (except, of course for Jane Lynch), successful before Glee and I’m sure she will be successful after – not so sanguine for the rest of the cast.

  20. Dolly Llama says:

YUCK. Her face makes my brain hurt.

  21. Anguishedcorn says:

She sure works that leg out, that’s for sure.

  22. Vera says:

Honestly, I barely see a difference. Like, before I started watching Glee, one of my friends told me how you could really see a difference in her weight from season one to season two. So, I was expecting her to be a bit of cow in season one. Nope. She looks average to skinny most of the time (not super skinny, but thin). And from season one to season two, I didn’t notice anything. Like, maybe she was wearing shorter skirts, but she wore some minis in season one. And in season three now, she may be a bit skinnier, but it isn’t by any means what I’d call drastic. Like, she looks healthier in the fit sense, but she still can’t style herself appropriately and her body isn’t by any means fantastic. Though, that may be her personality getting in the way of her attractiveness.

  23. Lisa says:

That doesn’t look like weight loss, just better styling.

  24. Marianne says:

The weight loss isn’t drastic. She just looks more toned. So I think it’s silly for people to jump to immediately jump to an eating disorder. Trust me, one of my best friends has suffered from anorexia and Lea looks nothing like it. It’s Hollywood, I’m sure the whole cast works out. Plus some people are more into fitness than others. There is a girl at my work always going on about a new exercise she wants to try or how she’s on some cabbage soup diet.

  25. Coucou says:

I specifically scrolled down only to comment that i totally HATE this chick. Ick. Those black platforms are fierce though. She, however, is NOT, no matter how hard she tries to shove it down or throats via the camera lense.

  26. Penguin says:

Doesn’t look any different to me.

  27. Leek says:

She can get as skinny as she wants but she’s still stuck with that face.

  28. taksi says:

I don’t know if it’s dieting. I know I can go up/down 5-10 lbs just depending on if I’m eating healthy and/or exercising that month. If you’re short, like she is, that can show up pretty easily.

  29. Mady says:

I still don’t understand why everyone is tearing her down. She’s gorgeous! She did loss weight, I agree, but maybe that’s because she was going to be going to a lot of red carpet events since she was on Glee? She was going to be on TV and going to awards and she just wanted to look good, what’s wrong with that? You act like she got plastic surgery. She went on a diet and probably starting exercising more. Geez, since when is that a crime? Her tattoos aren’t rebellion. Because I knew if I wanted to rebell I would get a tattoo of a cross or a little one no one would see. And there’s 14, by the way, not 20. Get your fact’s right. She gets little ones that mean something to her, which, in my opinion, is better then getting wasted one night and getting one of your boyfriend. Just saying, though. And about the Haylie Steinfeld thing, Haylie personally said it was another man who told her it wasn’t a good time. She was 14 and and embarssed because she thought Lea thought she was a total freak. She wasn’t upset with Lea because she knew it wasn’t her fault. Lea wan’t a ‘b*itch’ to her. She even said she felt terrible about the man telling her now wasn’t a good time. “her weight loss is a product of her coke habit.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME? She is in no way on coke. Little girl’s all over the world look up to her and she in no way, shape or form, looks like she’s on drugs. Now look at this picture. http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/wennpic/fox_all_star_09_wenn2949774.jpg Does she look ugly to you? No. She’s gorgeous. Get over yourself before you start judging her when you know nothing. She’s a sweetheart. Calling her names isn’t going to make her any less beautiful.
